Alright, I know some of you are going jump down my throat and some kids will probably troll my topic but I have a few things I would like to see changed in GTA Online. And yes, I'm well aware that R* has more important things to worry about like fixing the game, but these are just a few ideas I would like to share with you that you may or may not agree on. Please let me know your opinion or maybe add something that would like to see changed.

 

 

Bad Sport system:

 

OK while the system has good intentions, I believe it is flawed and and should be removed altogether. I think paying the insurance for someone else's vehicle is good enough.

 

 

Cops:

 

Cops in freeroam should stay but they need a few changes. I think it would be better if cops only came after you for things like robbing stores, killing pedestrians, and stealing cars. But when it comes to anything PvP related in freeroam like shooting/killing others players or blowing up their personal vehicles, cops should not intervene.

 

 

 

Tanks:

 

Tanks are Op as of right now. They need some kind of buffer/cool down like longer reload times and you can only call for another in so many minutes, something. They should also pay the insurance for cars they destroy unless they're sitting still and other players are purposely running into them.

 

 

 

Helicopters:

 

They need a big overhaul. Right now, I believe helicopters are only good for transport. The wind/turbulence thing might be "cool" or "realistic" to some but it's more annoying than anything, especially in combat situations. The whole dogfighting aspect from GTA IV's and TBoGT's multiplayer kinda got screwed in GTA Online. Yes those choppers were pretty easy to fly in those games but it did take some skill to master.

 

The guns on both the Annihilator and Buzzard need increased bullet damage and bullet travel distance because they're weak right now. A guy on the ground can shoot a pistol 50-100ft away and do more damage while you have to get your chopper right up to him. Also, not sure if this is realistic but bullets seem to push your chopper back when people are shooting at you from ground.

 

Lock-on for rockets need to go or we need an option to turn it off. It's almost impossible to take out a tank by yourself in a buzzard because they're usually surrounded by cops that your rockets automatically lock-on to. Rockets also need increased damage against tanks. It takes anywhere from 12-25 direct hits to destroy a tank depending where you hit them. I think it should more like 2-4 direct rocket hits to balance it out between Buzzards and tanks.

 

We should also have an option to turn those reticles on/off while in first person.

 

 

 

Passive Mode:

 

I have nothing to say about it but I would like to a Passive/Friendly Freeroam similar to the one in RDR like another topic has mentioned recently.

Bad sport - never been in the bad sport pool so idk what that's like

 

Cops - Death matches or 1v1s?

 

Tanks - I agree on insurance, not fussed about cooldown - i never have a tank problem really

 

Helis - they seem fine to me, you can press RB/LB to switch between locked targets in a buzzard btw

 

Passive - agree here

I meant cops in freeroam, my bad.

 

 

I know but i mean if you want to PVP you can just start up a 1v1 or enter a DM

Already came up with mine a long time ago:

 

- Passive mode completely passive, even in cars

- no weapon wheel in cars

- running over someone in Passive will make the passive guy clip through you

- running over someone WHILE in Passive will make the guy clip through you

- killing someone gives a 5-minute delay before you can turn on passive

- 5-minute delay goes back to 5 minutes every time you kill someone

- killing passive mode (if you manage to kill the guy) gives you Bad Sport and kicks you out of the lobby
