Rockstar laying the hammer down?

Anyone any idea how long the ban lasts? A couple crew members got an automated email yesterday. Logged on last night and they have been banned from Gta online, but it doesn't specify how long for.

If they can't access the online portion of the game, I'm pretty sure they've been permanently banned from GTA online.

There was a DNS server up the other day. The quick income and RP gains triggered the R* alarms. They have some sort of automated sweep thing now.

They're banning people because their idiot coders are too dumb to actually fix the exploits so it's easier for them (though still difficult) to go around and ban the cheaters.

 

I would have no problem with them banning cheaters if they also fixed the exploits and hacks. They're not though so what's the point?

Their idiot coders? Let me see you code a massive, detailed open world.

 

That's not what I studied and that's not what I get paid for mate.

 

So yes, they are still idiot coders in my book. They did their job but they did it poorly.

Rockstar should go after the leading cause of glitching, which is... Youtubers!

 

Here is an example of your typical glitch video:

You got it wrong except the intro and outro bit. It's more like this: Whut Up guys, I'm T 4 Y U N (or some other shīt name) and today I'm going to show you this great brand new glitch for GTA Online where you can snort coke out of Trevors ass crack at the same time as getting 4000rp for every second you stay alive.

Just reading the support forum today, and there's a ton of posts (mostly whining) of people getting banned today. Rockstar even replied to some of them stating their account was flagged for violations. I wonder if some big sweep is going down this weekend? One can only hope.
