Best Sniper Shot

I stood on top of the Maze tower and shot out a driver in the central LSC parking lot. Was very hard to see with the distance but I ended it in 1 shot. I was excited to say the least lol

 

But I felt terrible so I hopped sessions after XD

The most satisfying part of the game is getting all the angry texts/messages accusing you of hacking when you snipe them out of their car from halfway across the city. My best shot came from on top of Richard's Majestic, I was able to hit a guy driving in the hills behind Eclipse Towers.

 

My second best would be the time I was in a session with a massive tank battle near the race track. I went to the roof of a building near the Chinese theater and went to work.

Shot a guy who just climbed the stairs of the hospital from the construction site. He wasn't rendering but I followed his footsteps and killed him.

 

Then he climbed the stairs again and hid behind that little box on the roof on the westside of the first level of the hospital. Sniped him through the wall. He was not happy.

I shot a kid from the top of Mt. Chiliad and sent his jet straight into the Alamo Sea. One of my favorite moments playing GTA ever.

 

I'm still yet to snipe a Lazer pilot. I've sniped Lazers into oblivion, but never hit the pilot. Are there any tips for that, or is it (as I suspect) shoot the plane and hope?

I'm rubbish at sniping and I don't do it much, but I shot the pilot out of a laser a couple of days ago. I think the way it works is like with tanks. The vehicle is impervious to bullets at closer ranges, but when the laser goes beyond avatar draw distance, the vehicle becomes transparent to bullets, so you just aim where the pilot's body should be. I think when there are more 90+ players around, aircraft are going to have quite a hard time. Edited February 1, 2014 by johnwontscore

2 griefers up near Trevor's airfield trying to make a run for it in a 4x4 after killing me - I spawned on the hill overlooking the flat plains, scoped the SUV, zoomed in but it was gliching in and out due to distance, aimed for the driver and fired..

 

All I see through the scope is the SUV veer off to the right into incoming traffic with squeals coming over the mic.

 

I think I may have got a semi.

My best sniper shot was when I shot 2 players with 1 bullet in a driving car that was a couple of blocks away. The car was driving from left to right in a curve. This happened only once so far, I had big luck.

I did that about a month ago. It's a great feeling. Two guys were in a car and I was on foot. They flew by, both spraying smg in my direction (I hope they weren't really taking the time to aim because we're talking Storm Trooper shots, the closest being several feet away from me, and they were only about 20 feet away when they started shooting). They go up a couple of blocks and the driver spins the car to turn back for another pass. As they were turning, I shot at the driver with my heavy sniper, but the angle the car was in at the time let the bullet hit and kill both.

My, "best" shot has to be that time I was being chased by a Lazer in my Buzzard, I bailed out, (knowing I couldn't win a fight against even a half way competent jet pilot while in a helicopter) and landed on the train below, just as it was coming into LS from the south east side of the map, pulled up my sniper rifle, took aim, and one shotted him out of his jet as he was sideways banking around for a shot on me in the distance. Guess that would be my "best" shot because he was going sideways and turning really far away while I was stood a top a train car. I've shot my share of heli/jet pilots and various cars while they were flying off a jump/driving down the road, but they're usually easy kills because of the zero bullet drop and smoothness of the sniper aiming while in the scope, so I wouldn't really count them myself.

 

Now, my "favorite" kill has to be that time when I shot that city bus full of people. XD Killed the whole bus of like 8 people in two shots. I was standing down the road (to the east) of where the Pegasus vehicles spawn next to the theatre on Vinewood Blvd., and I saw one of those big city buses leaving with a full load of people heading west, it was a straight lined up shot, like bowling pins waiting for a ball in that bus. I left the lobby after I killed them, lol. Totally worth it though. XD

That pilot must have been pretty dumb though... If someone hides on a train, i blow up the entire train along with its wagons sky high. Looks pretty epic i must say.. i suggest you to do it yourself just to see the fireworks.

 

 

Anyway my best shot was Cargobob pilot who was carrying someone in a tank. The Cargobob along with the tank crashed. The tank got stuck between 2 buildings upside down.

as a dedicated sniper i have some 3000 kills and well over 800 headshots with my regular sniper rifle.

 

i have done some really great shot.

 

one of my best is a 9k shot i made from top of madrazo's house to a bounty that was driving on the main road near the golf club.

 

2 deaths 1 bullet, this was from the prison to 2 guys sittin on a entity on top of the hill of the windfarm.

 

i was on grapeseed side of alamo sea and a guy with a bounty was about to step of from a boat on blaine county' side.

 

i have sniped atleast 7 tankers griefing people at vinewood lsc from the crane near eclipse tower.

 

sniper 3 guys out of their jets!

 

i can spend all day here talking about my shots haha btw all this shots were made with the regular sniper rifle.

 

unlocked the Heavy Sniper just last week, so no great moments YET!

I shot a bounty out of his full-speed Feltzer. I was on top of Richard Majestic, and he was around Tinsel. Took me a few shots, but I got him; he was pretty butthurt about it. Haha

Just the other day, some guy killed me for no reason, and he decided to call for his Maverick. He almost gets away, and I just shoot out his tail rotor. He spun out and crashed.

hmm not that impressive, but

 

one was at del perro beach pier survival, a heli spawned, I sniped the the pilot exactly about a 1 second later seconds later.

 

one was at the mission coveted, there's these SUVs across the other side, with about 8 guys around it, one shot at the gas tank , and both suvs explode killing all of them.

I don't feel they are epic snipes, but when you snipe someone who hasn't rendered but the muzzle flash has I have to say it's pretty cool.

 

So yesterday I had a guy who was pretty good. I was in the desert checking out that body of water where the plane crashes thinking there had to be something in there. He just starts messing with me. So he gets me a couple of times so I get tired and I tie up the score and go passive and I was walking away and he hits me with his Entity! So I spawn, turn off active and he's way out in the Entity. I pull the snipe up real quick, the car is barely rendered and snipe right into the driver's seat. He didn't die but it must've took off 90% of his health. I don't think he realized I could do it and he trucked it outta there. lol

 

I don't think he'd realized I had a griefer a couple of minutes earlier that I went and got a Frogger, found a fun roof top and proceeded to sniper him and his buddy every 10 minutes or so. Literally random timing. It was hilarious.

Once when I lived in the eclipse towers, I was in my garage watching WWIII go on outside. There was a sniper on a rooftop way down the street shooting at the tank that was at the garage entrance. When the tank moved up the street a bit, I went outside, and tried to snipe that sniper on the roof, but he was too far away to render. I went back up to my apartment to spot him with the telescope. Got his exact location via the cctv, exited the apartment, and aimed on the spot where I believed him to be even though I couldn't see him.

First shot was a head shot. I couldn't believe it worked.

 

My second is when I got two guys with one bullet in a boat on the Alamo sea. They brought my helicopter down over the lake. I respawned by Grapeseed. I got them just as they hit the beach by Sandy Shores.

Hard to pick a favorite, I guess it would be sniping a dude out of his annihilator from so far away that he sent me a message saying he reported me for cheating. Made me lol pretty hard.

1 - I sniped the head of a bounty while he was parachuting out his flaming private jet - it happened like a movie

 

2 - killed two guys with 1 shot while they where running towards me - it was double a headshot

 

But my best was when a guy was sniping other players and he was not aware that I'm right next to him, so I sneaked up to him and hit him with tear gas, while he was coughing I did the jerk animation and then killed him execution style

I've shot alot of tanks and people from far distances but sniping the tail rotors on a helicopter are probably one of my favorite shots to take, hard to hit, but satisfying as the helicopter spins and hits the ground, boom.
