Best Sniper Shot

Sure, some of you weekend warriors go on Deathmatchs and pretend you got all the skillz, but truly great snipers aren't on the same planet when it comes to targeting.

 

What is your best sniper shot?

 

 

Since I started I actually have 2 of my favorites.

 

We were making a run for the Titan and there were 5 players. I got killed and respawned outside. I was all alone, ran North to get a vehicle and nothing was spawning. I turned around realizing I had a straight bead and had plenty of time but the Titan was starting to move. I waited until the white dots were all aboard. I was standing next to the parking area outside the East entrance, probably a little farther out. The Titan's driver cabin was in view. I shot from that spot with the Heavy Sniper into the driver's seat killing the driver and crashing the Titan. It only gave me credit for the driver. That distance was I equate from the back of the lot to just outside the Titan bay.

 

A day or so ago I saw someone with a bounty. Decided to land the helicopter and take a quick easy shot for $5k. I then flew away. Seconds later I have a bounty and after a few moments of failure on his part he went running down to the base. I was on top of the hill. I knew I was so far away he wasn't going to show up so I waited for what I thought was going to be a tank. Come to find out I see a wagon driving to the end of area next to the base. I lined up with a regular sniper rifle. One shot flash. Next shot out. I don't know what the distance was on a shot like that, but it hadn't to been like 2 or 3 miles.

My best one was MLG pro skillz I shot a guy in the head he was 5 metres away so it wasn't easy

Sniped a guy out of the Lazer when he was going to dive bomb my friend. He still killed my buddy, but I got him too. We spawn raped a few times and he quit. Thank you heavy sniper.

My best sniper shot was when I shot 2 players with 1 bullet in a driving car that was a couple of blocks away. The car was driving from left to right in a curve. This happened only once so far, I had big luck.

Funny how this topic was just made when I made a crazy snipe.

 

So, I was on the crane thats by the Eclipse tower, and the dude was flying his buzzard by trying to blow me up. He did once, so I climber back up, and then he flew by and missed with his missle, and when way past me. I dont know how far (it was far enough for him to spawn well into the Hills), but I pulled out my sniper and this guy honestly turned his chopper around so it was perfect to snipe him. Was definitely my best kill in GTA online.

My best snipe was a guy and his friend in a buzzard trying to blow me up. I sniped the driver and as the chopper was falling I sniped the guy in the passenger seat before he hit the ground. They both ran away without trying to take revenge and I kinda stood there in shock. I couldn't hit those shots in a row again if I tried.

Well, I sniped the pilot of a 2-man Buzzard the other day. It was very satisfying watching it spiral to the ground and explode.

 

I lol'd for a good 5 min afterwards.

Made one yesterday.. a couple of guys were in a boat and I was parked up on the side behind some railings. Next thing I know I am being shot at... so got in my car drove a few feet forward out of sight and then drove back and stood on my roof just to scope where they were. That's when I saw them f*cking off in a speed boat. Just thought I might as well have a pop shot. Got one of them with one shot.

 

Heard his mate on the mic saying I sniped the sh*t out of him. Not gonna lie... put a smile on my face lol

Was quite a distance as well and my scope was moving as was the boat. All happened really quick.

Green circle turns red. Tank stops moving. "WHAT THE F_CK!?" on the mic. Dude comes back, tries to climb inside again.

BOOM! Dead again. Tank driver leaves the session.

My, "best" shot has to be that time I was being chased by a Lazer in my Buzzard, I bailed out, (knowing I couldn't win a fight against even a half way competent jet pilot while in a helicopter) and landed on the train below, just as it was coming into LS from the south east side of the map, pulled up my sniper rifle, took aim, and one shotted him out of his jet as he was sideways banking around for a shot on me in the distance. Guess that would be my "best" shot because he was going sideways and turning really far away while I was stood a top a train car. I've shot my share of heli/jet pilots and various cars while they were flying off a jump/driving down the road, but they're usually easy kills because of the zero bullet drop and smoothness of the sniper aiming while in the scope, so I wouldn't really count them myself.

 

Now, my "favorite" kill has to be that time when I shot that city bus full of people. XD Killed the whole bus of like 8 people in two shots. I was standing down the road (to the east) of where the Pegasus vehicles spawn next to the theatre on Vinewood Blvd., and I saw one of those big city buses leaving with a full load of people heading west, it was a straight lined up shot, like bowling pins waiting for a ball in that bus. I left the lobby after I killed them, lol. Totally worth it though. XD

Well now that I've said that I have had many sniper sessions that I would love to relive.

 

Best one though was a session on top of Eclipse. Yes I know typical. But one shot I made was at a fleeing player going west on the road under the mall pedestrian overpasses and when I took the shop my reticule was at least a cm in front of the car and when the kill occured the car was behind the mall. Then I proceeded to kill their whole crew in the session from the same spot while 2 came parachuting in and another in a buzzard and I still killed them. After that I got bored and found a more challenging session.

I remember soon after I unlocked the first sniper some guy was raping the entire lobby with his buzzard so I climbed on top of the Rockford plaza building and sniped the pilot and watched his chopper go down. Nothing ridiculous but the timing was great.

The time I sniped this one guy running away in his little car. He jumped a ramp and while he was in mid-air... BOOM. Best headshot I've made so far.

I have two diffrent situations, four kills if you count them.

 

My first situation is my bounty-survival-trolling. The basic is that I have lifted a tank to the Maze Bank Tower. Sure is fun to blow up hunters coming in helicopters. But sometimes when they are on the way i like to pull out old Betty, my Heavy Sniper. This is two diffrent WTF did that come from kills.

As some of you know you see vehicle at a farther distance than people on foot. First kill was shoting a guy out a Buzzard at the hospital just as he got in.

Second time I tracked a car in the scoop and just as he got out i killed him, he was also at the hospital, but he still died.

 

My other good kill was when i was on a building just south of the freeway, the house that is three circular towers and a larger circular tower in the middle with a helipad on the roof. You can see the city LSC from it. Then I see my target, two guys (italian) that picked a fight with me earlier, driving in a car together and slowing down for the turn in to LSC. BAM! Double headshot. The joy of raging Italians.

 

 

Then we have some funny distance kill that is rewarding. Like killing people you don't se but you see the tracer-bullets.

 

Might be a little cowardly but i got that advanced scoop for a reason, and it was not for the point plank sniper kills.

I sniped a glitcher/modder out of a flying car from a long long way away lol.

Either that or when someone was waiting outside my apartment with a buzzard, but his aim sucked so he missed like 3 missiles and I turned round, pulled out my sniper and got him first shot. I was so proud.

My best was when I killed a guy who was flying a cargo bob. I was standing at trevors airfield base near the gas station and his blip was just going over the jail. I could only see the cargo bob as probably a handfull of pixels but I got the kill. That was in October sometime. Best car snipe was a vacca bombing down the freeway under me as I stood on a hill,I got the driver and the 3 guys/passengers inside went f*cking mad.

As a side note, my favourite spot is the Arcadius Business Center, purely because of the amount of the city you can see from it (with a bit of running round and relocating on the lower level). Any sniping fans that aren't familiar with it I urge you to change that.

Like most people, I have had my share of sniping from roof tops. However I would say my favorite that comes to mind was the following:

 

I was driving up the road and this player (with a bounty) drives past just cruising along. He didn't attempt to speed off or swerve just keep riding up the road as if nothing was going. I got out of my car, lined up the sniper rifle and got him with one shot. It was a long shot, and honestly I was surprised I got it. I like to think the other guy was surprised since I didn't attack him as he drove past he probably thought he was good.

I'm still yet to snipe a Lazer pilot. I've sniped Lazers into oblivion, but never hit the pilot. Are there any tips for that, or is it (as I suspect) shoot the plane and hope?

Fair enough. I obviously always aim for the cockpit when shooting at a Lazer, but I just haven't hit the sweet spot yet. I guess it's just not as easy to hit a pilot as it is to hit a tank driver.

I have tons of sniper kills, hard to pinpoint on what I would say is my best shot. Long distance PV kills with no name tag or health bar identifying them is one of them, and the runners. I love hitting moving targets leading the shots. Like most people I haven't got a Lazar pilot yet. I made a few eject from damage, that was about it. Tank sniping is second nature to me, more or less routine.
