t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m
There's a Nintendo World Championship cart for sale on eBay going for $100k+ US. It made me think - what is the most you have ever spent on a single video game? Also, if you wanted a rare game enough, how much would you spend on it to buy it? For me, the most I've spent was $70 for Texas Chainsaw Massacre(Atari 2600). I know it's not much more than new games today, but most people just see it as a 30 year old hunk of plastic. As for how much I would spend on a game - maybe $150 to $200 if I really wanted it. Edited February 1, 2014 by Yolo Swaggins
Johan
150$ for GTA V's collector's edition -__- Game wasn't worth more than the 90$ edition, hell probably the 60$ standard version was a better price point. Before that it was a few other collector editions that weren't that near the price I paid for GTA V, I believe it was 120$ for a few of them

Shenmue18
150$ dollars for GTA V's collector's edition. Great game but I feel people who paid 150$ should have gotten some extra missions and exclusive stuff online that's actually good.
Fireman
135 dollars for Baldur's Gate Collector's Edition (most recent). And $750 for Carmageddon: Reincarnation, which I don't have yet, Kickstarter,

Algonquin Assassin
$190 AUD for an uncut version of VC. I don't know what I was thinking really. I got it 2 weeks before it released over here, but the differences between it and the censored version weren't that noticeable. The next in line is $150 AUD for the GTA IV special edition. Daz
£45 used for MW3. Biggest regret of my gaming life. Me too, only MW2. As for actual most spent, not including special editions, it would have to be £50 for Blast Corps on N64. Never Again. Moth
$90 for the GTA V Special edition, along with a few others in that price point. The collector's edition for V looked like a rip off. Only game I would have spent over a 100 bucks for, would have been Skyrim, I want that Statue. Formerly known as The General
CatDog96
I've only bought 4 new games the rest are pre-owned, Assassin's Creed 2 was the first and most expensive it cost $105 just for the standard edition, games always cost a lot more in Australia. Audiophile
I rarely ever buy special editions of video games but I decided to for GTA V. I guess that's the most I've ever spent on a video game, $80 + tax for GTA V Special Edition. I'm glad I didn't shell out the $150 for the Collectors like other people did. Most people I know regretted it.
