BarelyLegal
Okay guys, so the story goes like this. I have an ATI 7950 3GB, i5 2550k 4.2GHz, and 8GB DDR3 RAM. Originally I had Windows 8 installed, though I discovered that Terraria has mouse-acceleration; in which absolutely no fixes appear to solve it. I've spent the entire day trying to fix it, to which my girlfriend later told me that she had a spare Hard-Drive. I replaced it with the one that has Windows 8 installed on it, with one that has Windows XP installed on it. Alas, Terraria has absolutely zero mouse-acceleration whilst using Windows XP. I then had the idea to plug both Hard-Drives into my computer. One with Windows 8, the other with XP. Windows 8 for the majority of my games, Windows XP for Terraria (and games in-future that I may find to have mouse-acceleration). I struggled to insert my initial Hard-Drive into the computer (whilst the XP Hard-Drive was inserted) as there was little space to manoeuvre, though I finally did it. What I'm paranoid about, is that I'm worried maybe I didn't insert the Hard-Drive with Windows 8 properly into the plug, which in-turn would decrease the performance of my games. My friend tells me either the HDD will work, or it won't, there is no middle-ground where it works ineffectively. Is he right in saying this? I suffer with OCD, and have this great urge to open up my PC case again, to re-insert it (which will probably take a while). Thanks in advance. Mr. House
Your friend is right. Also if you didn't put it in all the way and it works, then pulls out whilst on it will f*ck up your hard drive. I don't mean to add to your ADD, but better safe than sorry, right?
friendly luggage
To satisfy your urge to check, give the connections one last wiggle to see if they're firmly in place. With the mouse acceleration have you tried looking at the mouse setting inside Windows?
