I think there should be a mode where if you die your dead and have to start over.

 

Maybe character slot three! Yeah that character slot is for hardcore mode where if you die your character loses everything and goes back to rank one. That would be awesome to see how high you could get, and no solo invite crew it would only be playable in open session.

 

If they could make it so the cheaters couldn't cheat it would be awesome to see what ranks could be attained.

maybe you could only lose money and weapons when u die. even if you have rank for guns and rockets could you even afford to buy the ammo

It would CERTAINLY make armor very important.

And if you were lvl 10 a lvl 1 might have a hard time killing you because being higher lvl would actually mean something with regards to health etc.

 

I remember playing wow and the idea of a lvl 10 character killing a lvl 80 character was silly.

 

 

In regards to the rank disparity, I absolutely love the fact that a rank 5 with a 9mm can drop a rank 120 walking arsenal - a bullet to the head should kill just about anyone, regardless of experience.

 

OT, perma-death would never work out - erasing someone's character forever? That is irresistible troll-bait. All it would take is for one guy to get to rank 70 and we'd learn a whole new level of hatred for tankers. Finding ways to kill other players would be the only thing anyone did.

 

Missions would be paranoia-fests, forever fearing the team-killer. I can see it now : A Titan of a Job - the pilot, in an unprecedented act, lets the whole crew aboard before taking off (even waits for the one guy who thought to move the truck), then does a sudden nosedive into the Maze Bank building and bails out. He drifts gently to the earth, basking in the enraged screams of the five guys he just reset to zero.

 

DMs & GTA races would, similarly, be unviable - no one would deliberately put themselves into a 'kill or be killed' situation.

 

Motorcycles, cop wars, FR PvP - we'd stop doing all of it for fear of losing our stuff.

 

The final nail in the coffin is the game's business model - in this "hardcore" perma-death mode, we would not invest in our characters. Why buy them a $400K apt and a Supercar when one wrong turn in a cop chase and it's all gone? No, we'll keep that cash for the permanent characters who can't lose it - and if we're not buying anything, we're not motivated to earn cash, and thus there's no chance of a cash card sale and little motivation to play at all. R* knows this, which is why the hacked billions were removed as a priority.

 

The fact is, we get killed way to easily for perma-death to ever be a thing. Now, a death penalty, where dying locks you out of the game for 10 mins - that's something the game could handle and something I'd get behind.

If they completely were able to stop cheaters this would be awesome. The whole free roam concept would be different though. You would be 10000 times more ready to fight on sight. Trust no one... ever

Meh, I'd at least give it a try. But knowing me, I'd set one foot in the street and get slammed by a npc car as usual, and have to start over...

Not a bad idea. I have no use for any of the other character slots right no -- haven't really found a reason to use them, but having an option like this would be fun.

think about the early days of gtao, when the freeroam was super boring due to the $2k medical bill everytime you died.

 

your idea would simply turn an already "boring" game into GTAO:Sims

 

simply wont work, not with the way this franchise have been developed since it inception.

No he didn't, it is spelt correctly. Remeber, "i before e except after c". Do they not teach that anymore in schools?

 

I believe it should be "spelt" not "spelled".

 

Yeah, I can be an ass over spelling if I want to but I'm not normally. Not everyone has English as their first language.

Interesting idea nonetheless. I'd try it out a few times. Most people would quit after dying before rank 10 over and over. So many ways to die, and it takes a lot of effort to restart. Especially doing that lame tutorial over and over.

which is why wow is f*ckin stupid!

if you shoot some1 in the face they should f*cking die regardless of their level

I mean you allready have far superior fire power, cars, armor and even a bit more health

do you want to make it completely impossible for low levels to kill high levels just because they didn't grind as much?

than again you do play WoW so I geuss the answer would be yes

 

anyway go play your lameass WOW where the game calculates whether or not you've hit some1 based on the amount of grinding you each did.

just suck less or somehting cuz we don't need any of this BS in gta, If I can hit some1 I hit him.
