Cannot select all my cars in user created races

I've noticed a few things when I play in a user created race:

 

1) For the Sports class, I only own a Coquette. When the race host selects Sports as a class, my character just starts the race with the Coquette. I don't have the option to select a stock sports car.

 

2) For the Off-road class, I own a Bifta and a BF Injection. When the race starts, I don't get the screen that lets me select what car I want. It just defaults me to the BF Injection.

 

 

I have two theories about why this might be happening:

 

1) The game is loading extra slow from the lobby screen. By the time the lobby screen loads for me, I've lost the 10 seconds to choose my custom vehicle and the race just starts.

 

2) A glitch in the user creation system that sometimes prevents people from choosing their car.

 

 

 

 

Has anyone else experiencing things like this when racing user created races?

I've had a similar thing happen once. I couldnt select my own motorcycle in a motorcycle race that I have created and raced my own motorcycle in many times.

It happened once and didn't happen again so I attributed it to some sort of weird lag occurrence like you said.

After playing some more races (and DMs), I've decided the game is just loading VERY slowly, so I'm stuck on the lobby screen for a rediculous amount of time. . . a long enough time that I lose my 10 seconds to select my car. The same thing happened to me in DM a few times last night. I didn't get to the screen that let me restock up on ammo :-/

 

GTAO has been freezing and disconnecting me a lot more the past few days, so I'm sure it's related.

 

Edit: On DMs, I hear people talking about who's on what team before I get to that screen, so my Ps3 seems to be slower. My Internet is 1.5mb, which is slower than most . . . but I've never had these problems until recently.

 

 

I'm on PS3. Can anyone walk me through the process of clearing the cache, or doing a system restore, or anything that might make the game less laggy?

Your PS3 is not the cause of your lag. The only thing you can do is make sure you have nothing else moving data across your home network if your connection is only 1.5mb. Maybe reset your router if you use one, and put the porn downloads on pause until you are done trying to play online.

Your PS3 is not the cause of your lag. The only thing you can do is make sure you have nothing else moving data across your home network if your connection is only 1.5mb. Maybe reset your router if you use one, and put the porn downloads on pause until you are done trying to play online.

 

 

Doh. I always forget something simple like resetting my router. I'll repost if I'm still having trouble.

 

I don't do porn downloads so that shouldn't be a problem. I use the porn tube sites to get my Asa Akira fix.

What you experienced is different. When your vehicle is destroyed in Freemode it will not show up in the selection menu

A friend of mine has a 1mb connection and whenever we play a mission its fine, only when we replay or select another mission that he disconnects
