I just got done playing the Josh missions and he clearly has an appetite for women. He will just screw anything. He would probably screw Chop if he had the chance. That is part of what I like about him.

True, but we don't have characters in mafia-style gangs in this game, so that type of behavior wouldn't fit, and I don't think they wanted a CJ repeat with Franklin's character, either. So, how else do we justify merciless killing? By creating a f*cked up looney, of course.

 

I think R* just wanted to try a different approach with one of their characters. Instead of generating the same exact personalities, why not go with something extreme? Obviously his character stuck with everyone, so I think they accomplished that at least.

Trevor is too over the top. Instead of actually being creative, Rockstar just stupidly decided to give him as many shocking attributes as they could to the point where he's pretty much a ridiculous joke character.

It was partly a joke but I don't have an issue with gays. I have gays in my family and they are people like anybody else. I recently went to a gay wedding and I give them better chances than most straight weddings I have been to.

Rockstar used the bisexual thing as part of their shock value for Trevor. They didn't use it as a positive trait.

Trevor is the player. This is how all GTA-players behave at some point in their game. I personally love him, the fact that he does what the f he wants I like. (Taking the stripclub, fighting Merryweather amongst other things).

 

He's not only a crazy murderer.. He got a sensitive side. Like, he does not wanna kill Mike when Franklin asks him to. He does not betray his friends.

 

I like all characters, they all play important rolls in the game. I would love if Lamar was playable though. That dude is just awesome, funniest of the non-playable characters in V.

 

Trevor obviously took advantage of Floyd btw. He did not just spoon with him, I'm pretty sure on that.

 

With Trevor you never know, what he does often got no logic in it. Just as with us players playing the game, you never know what might happen...

You want to be the mastermind? Cool, pick Michael. Wanna be the chill thug? Cool, pick Frank. Wanna be the over the top asshole? Cool, pick Trevor.

 

It's there to appeal different kinds of people. If you don't like him, that's fine. That's it. Kill him in your game and go on with your life. No need to make a thread about it.

 

I keep seeing people whining about Trevor fanboys, but holy sh*t I see at least one new Trevor hate thread every week, and no Trevor worship thread anywhere. I think that Franklin is a boring f*ck, but I don't hate the character, in fact, it's sad that he didn't get enough protagonism in the story, and even if I hated him, I wouldn't go around waving my opinion down people's throat crating a hate thread each 6 days. Chill the f*ck out, Jesus.

 

Edit: Oh, yeah, I like Trevor because he is everything I wouldn't want to be. Because he is over the top. Because he is hilarious. I guess you and me have different tastes, pal. I'm don't really care if he is a deep character or not, I like him for said reasons. However, I do believe people don't give his character enough credit.

The cross dressing doesn't add humor. It adds stupid Saints Row goofiness.

I don't mind Franklin and actually liked him more than originally thought I would, but he and his story was extremely boring and pretty forgetable, yet I don't go about this entering every single bloody Franklin thread on this forum to continually remind everyone how generic I found him. It's always the same collective of culprits who feel the need to remind everyone on a daily basis how much they "didn't like this", or "hated that". It gets pretty tiresome, and at times resembles good old fashioned trolling.

Personally, I didn't get the impression he was bisexual/homosexual per se; I don't think he was actually attracted to men, but rather more attracted to the power and control he had over them. A bit like many prison rapists.

Well if you felt it was too much, then that's entirely your opinion, which you of course are fully entitled to. I guess I and the majority of the fanbase are just fortunate that we could feel his whole inclusion provided some much needed extra spice to a GTA protag and his narrative.
