R* should turn Online off for a few weeks to fix their problems.

The main problem gentleman is the EBOOT modders and whatever the hell they do on Xbox.

PC has a slight chance of being better where they have more control over banning a CDkey... but I really doubt it. PC version will kick butt though because of all the nice things modders will bring us. Even leagues of CS:GO have hax (lol at the people who disbelieve...)

If it comes to PS4 / Xbone that's your only shot at everyone being on a level playing field. Of course there will still be glitches...

That's the way I see it.

** The PS3 doesn't even have the unique keys tied to a game disc like the PS2 had (i.e. only 1 copy online at a time so you had to change the keycode... but you just typed random sh*t and it worked).

*** Also this last statement made me remember NFL 2k5... RIP you king of kings... best used game purchased ever made

No, because R* has no pride in their work. They just want money and ONLY money. It's too late to start over... they are too close to releasing DLC for real money. They know a lot of people are going to sell their games once that happens.

What makes you think there will be a paid DLC soon? They first have heists to release, which will be free.

Gotta love those people who act like what they say is Gospel; of course Heists will be free, hell, I wouldn't be surprised at all if money was made on the Cash Cards already, but I wouldn't say R* is about the money. At least they try and work with their fans especially after the money exploits. At least they recognised the issues a lot of people have brought up and are trying to fix them.

Yeah I agree except for that I think Rockstar is about the money, nearly all companies are.

Even if that was the case, at least Rockstar and Take-Two aren't EA, and I'm glad that EA didn't manage to corner them back in 2008.

Indie devs FTW! Me and my girl have been enjoying Papers, Please. She's a real hardass when they beg.

Kickstarters and Early Access Alphas... not really panned out so much but I hope they keep trying. It's getting better every year and with every decent indie game my hope for gaming burns a little brighter.

Publishers are dinosaurs and EA knows this. There is a reason they pulled their games from Steam to bolster Origin. The 70 year old crackers see the writing on the wall... or hell maybe they don't it's EA after all. They blamed homosexuals in starwars for their Worst Company of Year... disgusting at every level.

True. But I don't know to what extent that is because of morality or because they deem their ways to be more profitable. End result stays the same though. But if it's because of the latter then that can change easily with future games.

My memory may be completely wrong about this, but around the time of the EA/Take-Two takeover rumours Rockstar were negotiating a new deal. They stuck with Take-Two (thus helping them stave off a takeover) because they are given a degree of autonomy when it come to making and releasing their titles, something they would not get with EA. Which brings me to -

What gets me with the "Rockstar are only in it for the money!" argument is that it ignores that we've only had two new GTA games in the nearly ten years since San Andreas. If Rockstar really wanted to cash in and cash in big they could cynically annualise the franchise and make scary amounts of money in the short term. Instead of milking one franchise to death (*cough* COD *cough*) they've gone the route of producing titles like GTA, Red Dead, Max Pain, possibly eventually Agent, that may appear once or twice a generation and feel different and fresh enough from each other not to wear the player into indifference. Personally, I prefer this approach.

Also if you play this game, explore this world, look at all those tiny individual details, and still think it's solely exists as a cash-making exercise, I feel a little sorry for you.

I would be happier at this point if they just took it offline entirely and Take Two permanently closed all Rockstar studios.

I dont understand the logic "i complain about how awful the game is everyday and how bad everything is and R* dropped the ball" but yet the same people play the game all the time and enjoy it enough to come back to this forum which is for fans of the game. you dont like it, dont play it. quit crying all the time.

When I saw this, I thought, if they turn Online off forever, that would fix their problems. :colgate:

Trying to make a structured, rich, fair online environment for a game that is intrinsically just PvP, is just logically inconsistent and doomed. :bored:
