Yeah, for about an hour it would solve the problems.

 

The main issues are a result of poor design and implementation, thus the ease in circumventing the rule-sets.

 

So unless they're going to rebuild it in those few weeks, it wont make any difference.

The main problem is the community. The fact that these ADHD prone pre pubescent assholes cant just play a game the way its suppose to played, they have to f*ck EVERYTHING up!

You realize rockstar already has offline servers to test changes before sending it to production right? Turning off the servers for everyone playing would just be stupid.

They shut it down for 24 hours a few weeks ago to remove the hacked money...

 

They should've did a lot of other things too while they were doing that

If you're that addicated to GTA that you feel the need to tell someone to kill themselves because they suggested GTA be offline for a few weeks to fix the problems then you need to set down your controller and go outside for some fresh air.

They definently need to do something to fix some things, although i don't know if the community would like that very much & stick through it . Of course most of us would sit back, wait, & let R* do their thing. But others would prob get fed up & say that this is the last straw & then leave, or start accusing R* of going through their money garages etc to take more stuff away "when really" all R* would be doing is trying to fix the dam game :(.

 

Guess i kinda can't blame them tho, a lot of pple don't really trust R* anymore & i don't know if shutting it down for a couple weeks would fix that trust,untill of course everyone finds out that R* fixed sh*t & come flocking back :). In any case something should happen...don't know what.. but something :/

Actually, they don't need to. They're obviously using developer models to fix their issues before they publish the patches. You never develop on a live server unless it's a serious hot fix, hence they took down GTAO a few weeks ago.

 

There's no reason to make Online unavailable unless it's something to do with the live servers on their end, but in reality it's more client side issues they're trying to repair.

I love the idea of getting this game fixed/patched/whatever you want to call it...but, can you imagine the outrage that would ensue?? People would be rioting outside R* headquarters....

Less of them would be doing that if it was announced in good time, i.e. 24 hours or more.

 

If there's one thing this generation of gamers mostly lack, it's patience.

Gotta love those people who act like what they say is Gospel; of course Heists will be free, hell, I wouldn't be surprised at all if money was made on the Cash Cards already, but I wouldn't say R* is about the money. At least they try and work with their fans especially after the money exploits. At least they recognised the issues a lot of people have brought up and are trying to fix them.

Yeah I agree except for that I think Rockstar is about the money, nearly all companies are.
