The Collector's Edition .50 Pistol.

Didn't really care for it when i first used it, thought it sounded cool but that's about it. Then i made a new char & was forced to come down off my high horse & play with it. Gave up on it at first, but after getting a feel for it it quickly became my fav wep.

 

Works good as a troll tool, other players happen upon you to see you only wearing a pistol & a low level they expect easy pickn's lol. During that time i also found that i had greatly underestemated/underused my Bullpup, That B**ch got range XD

 

Hope R* doesn't NERF them cause of complaints

I only used the ce weapons till I got an auto shotty, combat mg and heavy sniper. My two other favs r the stickies and grenade launcher. Rpg is too easy plus you need line of sight. With the grenade launcher you can get kills over and around massive buildings if you have skrills.

I too have much jealousy over this weapon.

As a rule I only sport tattoos or gun skins that are unlocked through achievements not rank. However, I'd make an exception for this baby and have it in gold.

Well that explains a lot, all this time i've been playing i always thought it shot like that cause i put a scilencer on it lol. Guess I'm kinda noobish that way sometimes XD. I'll def have to look for it in COD now that i know it's there

Very slow fire rate however pretty damn powerful.

 

I'll put it like this. The pistol and shotgun should have been available to everyone, and AP pistol and Assault shotgun been in the collectors edition.

 

I wish I could drop the .50 and just keep my AP pistol, but Im stuck with it along with the first pistol lamar gives you.

 

Everytime I spawn online I drop that pistol and set my gun wheel to AP pistol.

It's a good pistol, I just hate that you can't drop it. I want to get rid of it.

 

In december a friend of mine definitely dropped it for me, so i can try it. Maybe it got patched by R* ?

Seems like it doesn't work anymore, but a friend with CE could drop it for you. You lose it after switching the session though.

I know for a fact you cant drop it on xbox, that or Im glitched with it somehow because I cant drop it. I would love to get rid of it.

Any of the .50 cal style weapons (.50 pistol, heavy sniper) are what you would call anti-material in the idea that they work best against things instead of people. (cars, planes, etc.)

 

Does that mean they work better on people as well? They'll deal out a lot more damage, but they take more work to squeeze of a round so it's better to be either on point with the shot or have the time to make a mistake.

 

For example, a poorly aimed .50 round can be bested by an Assault Shotgun up close and personal and at medium range the Carbine will create something similar to swiss cheese in the time it takes to miss one shot.

 

Also, for what the heavy sniper makes up for in range the .50 cal pistol loses in range and rate of fire. So while the heavy sniper dominates the long battle, the .50 cal gets left out in the cold compared to weapons in class.

 

If you have a sure kill shot at medium range, such as Survival's initial rounds, then it's great for conserving ammunition. But once it fails to do the deed in one shot other sources are better choices.

 

Although .50 is not the choice for drive by or vehicular stoppage, it is good for planes and helicopters for more accurate users, although it will never stand up to the fun of more rapid fire or rocket launchers.

 

Like all weapons included in packs, the upgrades are free, so pick a color and options, which is a bonus.

 

Where does that leave the .50 cal pistol? It's tough to say. Think of it as a good option when your star player is out (of ammo) or if you're low on ammo. Many people will find themselves falling back to the AP Pistol in comparison. It will always make a good bragging piece.

My Desert Eagle is gold, I love it because I'm a pistol wielding type of guy. I much rather prefer the AP pistol however for it's sleekness as the Desert Eagle looks cartoonishly fat. The AP Pistol is the ONLY gun that looks good with the extended clip and silencer.

i would empty a 36round AP magazine while you only get to shot once.

the deagle comes with all of the ugly ass attachments the other pistols have. i keep mine with no attachments and platinum tint

I just can't believe they HAVEN'T released those weapons in some kind of DLC pack. Never seen a company not release this kind of "exclusive" material within the first month or so.

Turn10 didn't release Forza 4 VIP to the public until April or so for forza 4 when it has been out since September of the year before. To get VIP beforehand, you basically had to pre order it.

I like the AP pistol better. I use the AP pistol second only to the advanced rifle or whatever it's called.

Along the lines of what others said, I most often use it for early rounds of survivals. Takes NPCs down in one hit in the first 8 rounds. Survivals are ammo hogs, and using the .50 will save you a ton of it which in turn nets you a bigger portion of that $20,000 as profit when you don't have to turn around and drop half of it on refilling ammo. Works good on any "kill lots of npcs" mission.

Some ppl just wanted the cap. Some people are buying the cap for 100 dollars.

REALLY good in survivals. 1-2 hit kill, very rarely a 3 hit kill. Unless you shoot them in glitch animations. Doesn't clear through enemies quickly but it saves ammo and money. I'm a cheapskate.

Very powerful best gun to use until you unlock the first assault rifle. AP pistol out classes it though. Limited range and very accurate. Good if you're conserving ammo. It is glitchy with the attachments can't get extended mag off mine.
