Domestic Battery
XDBX News!!! By LV_Jag and JustHatched ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Domestic Battery Weekly Newsletter November 6, 2014 Issue 31 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crew Social Media: Social Club - Facebook - Twitter A friendly reminder -- please be considerate of your fellow crew members. Some language/words can be taken offensively. We have different cultural backgrounds in the crew and some words carry different weight among each other. Tone is a big part of how words are perceived. We know that situations arise when we become frustrated, but please remember, we should not be yelling and cursing at each other. We don't want crew members to feel uncomfortable during what should be a fun and enjoyable experience. The PS4 release is just under 2 weeks away, a final all PS3 series of events is in the planning stages and you do not want to miss out on what is shaping up to be the biggest thing the crew has done since being formed 9 1/2 months ago. For more info on this please >>Click Here<< Along with the release, a few crew members may be feeling uneasy about futre crew events and what will take place on either platform. Rest assured that there will be crew members on both platforms that will be hosting events. The PS3 players will see some changes in the current repeating event lineup and hosts, however the crew will carry on and adjust. PS4 players may see a slow start on the events but it won't take long to see a full line of events taking place. Are you interested in hosting a playlist or just curious to know the details of getting a playlist going and being a success? >>Click here<< to read this informative guide for more information. Please note, if you're interested in hosting a playlist, contact the events staff today. Tags have been introduced to the Content Creator section of the website. >>Click here<< to learn about the new process and how to tag your created jobs. Tagging your jobs will make it easier for the event hosts to find specific jobs. If you're looking for something to do on Monday nights, be sure to check the calendar for any impromptu playlists. There's always something random and fun that pops up. Our most recent impromptu event was a Cannonball Run hosted by LN-MLB. Keep an eye on the forums for more upcoming events. Have you checked out the latest Crew Head to Head challenges? This is a great opportunity to help Domestic Battery score victories over other crews. All crew members, vetted and unvetted, are more than welcome to participate. Please check out the Crew Head to Head section and RSVP to an upcoming challenge. XDBX vs DARK Round 6 Recap: Another victory was scored over DARK during Round 6. This marks the sixth consecutive win for the crew. XDBX won by two points. It was a close match. Round 7 is scheduled for Friday, November 7 (Thursday, November 6 for North America). For more information regarding Round 7, please see this thread. Did you know...? There's a Playstation App available for Android and iOS devices. This free app allows you to add more than 100 friends and send messages to each other without pulling open your console menu. This app is highly recommended for all crew members. Are you feeling uneasy about any aspect of the crew? Or need any clarification of how things operate? If so, please convey your feelings, questions, and concerns to any Lieutenant, Commissioner or JustHatched. We will always listen and discuss your issue. It is not promised things will change, but it is not promised they won't either. Some things cannot be fixed if no one knows it is broken, however it is asked you be detailed in whatever needs discussed. ============================================================================================= XDBX WORLD RANKING: Deathmatch - 15,962 (+/-0) | TDM - 7,480 (+1) | Vehicle DM - 16,365 (+/-0) | Race - 784(+20) | GTA Race - 3,763 (+411) | Rally Race - 1,221 (+66) | Non-Contact Race - 49 (+2) | Parachuting - 296 (+7) | Tennis - 4,293 (-34) + or - values compared to the previous weeks Newsletter Note - Parachuting (296), Standard Racing (784), Non Contact Racing (49) ============================================================================================= XDBX CREW MEMBER NEWS: - Congratulations to JakeBarnett88 and ronin1904 on their promotions to Crew Representative. Good props and spawns. I actually love the possibility to seek cover on the roofs, and both roofs is equipped with sniper rifles that can give you an epic sniper battle. You'll get both close combat and some distance shooting here, had a feeling that I had several choices all the way trough the 10 minutes, and I was never locked to some place specific. I've played this map two times now and really enjoyed it both times. The only thing I can put my finger on is the accessibility to one of the roofs, it's seems like there's only one way on top of the tallest roof, and that makes it very easy to hold if you cooperate as a team. From this roof you have a clear view over the map and in my mind have a good advantage when on top, if it's possible I would have tried to make one more access to the roof, I could be wrong here but I only found one access point. Good Job Mr. Donkey Punch Punctures Farmer melee team death match! You have every single melee weapon here if you choose to pick them up, choose your weapon and crack some skulls! We played this one with a full lobby this time and it was a kill fest of the big ones, if I remember correctly it was over 200 kills in 10 minutes... In my mind melee maps is all about having a laugh, and what's really helps me out here is when somebody decides to take the journey and just smash trough the crowd, friend or fo! pretty good spawns, I just found one of the spawns a bit far away, and there shouldn't be any reason to not move it closer to the centre of the action since this is a melee map. I think the props are good and I love that you've put in some vehicles to add that extra surprise factor when your'e in a middle of a beating party! This is probably just a personally view, but I think in melee matches like this 5 minutes are perfect. Good Job Mr. La Fuente Blanca A really cool location, lots of natural cover and good props. The first time I played this map I really loved it, then we played with maximum 10 players I think but there where still a few spawn kills but in my mind not as many as it got annoying. There's allot of movement on this map with fewer players and then your bound to run over someone that is spawning from time to time. Back to the JOTW PL, I think we where a almost full or a full lobby this time, and this made the map function in a whole other way in my mind, I'm sorry to say I've lost count of how many times I've got gunned down straight after spawning. My personal tips is to play this one with a bit smaller lobby like maximum 10-12 players and see how it flows. The 16 player version leads to allot of spawn killing and and allot of interrupted head to head fights. In my mind you have a Diamond here, just grind it down to it's right size and it will shine. Great Job Mr. Races Reviews by SanAndreasRealOG Del Perro Eight This race is simple and challenging, Very well thought out, Every checkpoint is near perfect, I know this is only a figure of eight, But with the bridge going over the other checkpoints I thought it made out for a very good and cool race. I did do 8 laps of this race in a PL and it was amazing, the recommend laps is 3 for sedans. Great race, Thanks for the smiles! Auto Yard I don't think there's much more to be said after reading the description for this race. " That badass carbonizarre! Some can drive it, Most can't. Where do you stand? " But I'm going to try anyway, This race really does sort out the men from the boys as they say. It has great flow to it and every road is nice and smooth. I don't no if you meant to do this but I like how you have tried to force people into the right lane with your checkpoints always helps. As everyone is the same car it's pretty hard to make ground. The recommend laps is 2 but if you like racing 3 is fine. Great race, Thanks for the smiles! Tractor Disaster 2 Well this is different for me, coming from track racing to tractor racing. It's a GTA race which always makes it fun, Then if you add the fact that your driving a tractor called Stanley, Is there much better? Your checkpoints are fine as well as your rockets and boosts. I've done this race solo and with friends, At first I didn't understand the track, But after doing a few laps I got the feel for it. There are some tricky corners to handle with and a lot of fences to destroy. Was and is a lot of fun. Get out there and see if you are a fieldmaster today! The recommend laps is 2 but 3 or 4 won't hurt in a GTA as they are so funny! Great GTA race, Thanks for the smiles! Today i'll bring you Robinsons, Iron Maiden Trooper beer, Rock On lml I actually love Maidens music and my mind was like I really don't care if the beer taste sh*t, it's just so cool! In the past it has always been ok just to turn up at the last minute and usually bag a place but this is becoming increasingly difficult to do. In the last week alone we have had RSVP numbers of 17 & 18 when there are only 16 places available! On the same note, please only RSVP if you intend to be there, if you subsequently find you are unable to attend you can always un-RSVP by clicking on the minus sign next to your name. This lets the host know that you will not be attending so they do not have to wait around for you and hold up the start for everyone else, it also frees up your spot for someone else to attend. To RSVP simply check the calendar for any event that you would like to attend, click on the event and there will be an 'I'm attending' button on the right hand side. You can either click this here or if you look to the bottom left of this page you will see a 'view event topic' hyperlink. This will take you direct to the event details page and you can also RSVP from here, again by clicking the 'I'm attending' button. If you have any queries regarding this or anything else, please contact myself or anyone of the senior staff members as we are all here to help. By LV_Jag Our Weekly Segment Where We Meet The Person Behind The Controller 1. When and where are you likely to be found in GTAO? A: Now that I'm back to work (IRL) my play time is limited to evenings so, I'm online usually from about 6pm -> 1am Eastern Standard Time. As to the where; when the crew is not online, I freeroam a lot but in a Closed Crew session. I have this compulsion to make more money so I'm always doing the High Priority Vehicle and stealing Gang Cars. 2. What was your first IRL job? A: Sweet baby Elvis, this could be a long, interesting story, but I'll give you the Reader's Digest Condensed version. I was hired right out of high school to be a 'specialist' at one of the local strip bars. The managers were having problems with cashiers and liquor shortages and my job was to strictly monitor these. And since I already had a 'tough guy' reputation, I helped keep the riff-raff under control too. I grew up in a tough mining town and there were always fights going on in the strip clubs. 3. What was your first IRL car? A: Ah, I remember it well. A beat-up 1969 Pontiac Stratochief with a huge-ass 428 V8 Orange block. That beast was WAY too much car for me, I'm surprised I didn't end up a smear on a cliff-face. Ignorance killed that poor car as I didn't know you had to put water in the radiator occasionally. It blew the frost plugs and seized up on me the first winter. LOL 4. What are your hobbies outside of GTAO? A: A few years back, I bought a 'fixer-upper' house. I gutted it right back to the frame and have been renovating it pretty much constantly. I re-wired it, put insulation in (in the 50's they didn't believe in insulation because oil was cheap). I've moved some walls, installed a new 4-piece bath with 2-person spa tub and am finally starting to get some drywall up. Also; I am really into tabletop gaming. Imagine a cross between chess and little army men. Yes, I play with toy soldiers and tanks, I even make "pew pew pew" noises when I shoot their weapons. 5. Married? Kids? A: Been there, done that. I've been happily divorced for 11 years now and single the entire time. I do have a daughter, she's 26 but she lives quite a distance and has a very full life of her own. Including a 5-year old son which, yes, makes me a grandfather. 6. Where did you meet your wife? A: Well, I met her because I had a crush on her little sister. We all used to do live action role-playing. When I realized the little sister was very much in a committed relationship and that the older sister liked me, well, I switched gears. 7. If you could add a car and weapon to GTAO, what would they be? A: I've actually sent my suggestion into R* for a car idea. I would love to see the original Humvee with a working turret. This would encourage teamplay as you would need a second player in the vehicle to man the turret. As for weapon; again, I wrote into R* about an actual sniper rifle. One that doesn't trigger the police when shooting from long range. 8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? i'm not exactly sure of the locations but i'd love to live on those beaches in resort commercials with the lovely greenish blue crystal clear waters... 9. If the crew were to visit you, where would you take them to experience your culture? A: New Zealand. They have strict emigration policies, I love their accents and it's frikken Middle Earth! There be hobbits and dragons there! 10. If the crew were to visit you, where would you take them to experience your culture? A: Since I am in the nation's capital, a visit to Parliament Hill is almost mandatory. With stops along the way to have some beaver tails and poutine. A night at the National Arts Centre would be a treat too, there are almost always world-class dance performances going on there. If it happened to be winter, skating on the Rideau Canal. Apparently that is a huge tourist attraction. =) 11. What is your favorite meal? A: Well that's a toss-up. For fine dining, it would definitely be Veal Marsala at an authentic italian restaurant with a side of marinated eggplant. At home, I love my own creation that I call 'slop'. Ground chuck, ground pork, basmati rice, stewed tomatoes and okra. Let that simmer in a single pot for 45 minutes and I am in gastronomic nirvana! 12. Any advise for new crew members looking to fit in? A: For starters, get a mic. Yes, I'm looking at you Dani! LOL Seriously though; always bear in mind that this crew is about having fun first. Even if you are consistently having your ass handed to you by Dani, Banks and DC..there is no animosity there. This is a game, an escape to blow off steam, get killed and respawn. These guys may own you in DM or on the racetrack, but they do so courteously and with a sense of humour. So, have fun. =) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Past Have You Mets?: JustHatched, BustyRose, Troysayshi, PB76, DavidCore, Fido, Wecang, Dodge, Furdog, LN-MLB, Locust, Ro9M, Erin, Danielle, Casey, Dead_GooN, Zmurko, Vishesh, G37, Matus, SSRacing, Rumdig, Cotick, Lann3fors, NewsBot, Beez, Banketelli, BrianM, Xyon, PDX96, Wraignbow, Rikster, Offroadmudpunk, LV_Jag, mattymcrae, Onrefne, Profane ========================================================================================== Photo by Juve ========================================================================================== Our crew website DomesticBatterygta.com is quite active and is a great resource for GTA V gamers new and experienced. cotick20
Event: GTAF: Approved Platform: PS3 Event Host: G37/Alchemic-Ink Event Name: GTAF: Approved Event Start Date: Nov 10th Event Start Time (GMT): Nov 11th @ 3:15 AM Event Start Time (Local): Nov 10th @ 10:15 PM Estimated Duration: 60-75 min Reoccurring or One Time Event?: One Time On November 10th, join me (Alchemic-Ink) in a playlist that will pit you in a variety of vehicles across a variety of tracks sourced from the Approved PS3 Racing section of the GTA Forums. Put your skills to the test and have a lot of fun with some well made courses as well as celebrate a few of our own making the nod in this ongoing thread of cool and nifty content. Custom Vehicles will be the standard unless the track deems otherwise and for the most part the track will be run as it's intended (default settings). Non-Contact will also be the standard as often as it can be. This will be a direct invite and expect the playlist to last between 60 and 75 minutes with a lobby size TBD based on the RSVP. It will be as little as 8, but expect it to be larger than that (so please try to have an accurate RSVP as it may or may not affect the track selection - but of course, the more the merrier). I will be posting the track list closer to the date of this event to keep it as much a mystery (and fun) as possible. Domestic Battery
XDBX News!!! By LV_Jag and JustHatched ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Domestic Battery Weekly Newsletter November 13, 2014 Issue 32 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crew Social Media: Social Club - Facebook - Twitter The most epic day of all time is coming to Domestic Battery this Saturday. We will have 12 hours of straight game play. There will be 4 separate playlists consisting of 16 jobs each hosted by Casey, Danielle, LN-MLB, and JustHatched. Prepare yourself with plenty of caffeine and plan to stay up way past your bedtime to party with the best crew ever. The PS4 release is just under 1 week away and we have begun to pick up some new crew members for that platform specifically. That means the time is near where we will have crew members on site whom will never game with each other due to the platform divide. Keep in mind that while you may not cross paths in game, the website will be key to maintaining our family and friends atmosphere. As some may have noticed there have been little crew promotions for a while, this is a pre-planned pause pending the PS4 release so that the current staff can see who goes and who stays. We are looking to maintain a balance as much as possible across both platforms. Stay tuned to the website over the next few weeks if you are interested in possible increase in responsibilities. Have you checked out the crew Facebook or Twitter pages lately? (Links are found at the top of the Newsletter). Cotick has done a wonderful job in keeping our FB page up to date and has even promoted it enough to get 100+ likes. Lets see if we can push that to 200. Remember to like and share things and help him to promote this. Likewise, Danielle is working our Twitter page, while tweeting doesn't seem to be as popular as FB, she is doing well to get us followers, if you are a tweeter be sure to follow us. It is not promised things will change, but it is not promised they won't either. I believe mostly of the props is used, but the seem to fit the location and the theme. I'm also very found of the possibility to take the fight to different levels, the roof access and possibility to climb the "water tanks" makes no place to secure. Good allround action, not sure how many players we were but didn't take to long before your in the middle of the action. Good and even pickups, just al little unsure about the 1 assault rifle on top of the map, this may just be a miss placed gun, not sure? Not the best creation from this creator but absolutely full of action and fun, Says more about the creator than the map though. Would love to play this again, Good Job Mr. Pumpkin Revenge I've only played one map in this location before, and that's one of the McKeever creations, this one is just as good if not even better. Just action from the start to the end big open spaces with some small places to hide, I just love to run/roll around with my pump action shotty and that brought me the MVP this round. This may not be a map for players that don't like CQC, but for me this will be a map I'll look forward to do every time. Not many props used and the one that's used fits the scenery, get a renovate my house kind of feeling I you know what I mean. Good even pickups, seemed to find some ammo when needed. This Creators best creation in my mind. Can't wait to try it out again, Great Job Ms. Races Reviews by SanAndreasRealOG Boogie Woogie Buggy Boy Very fun race I've done this solo and in PLs. The checkpoints are fun and easy for the racing line, but even knowing the checkpoints doesn't mean your going to always win, because you can never bank on the ground being the same level as before. The ramps are smooth and all your props are placed well. In this race you will you using the BF Dune Buggy which is great a choice. I Would always run this race in non contact for sure. Recommended laps is 2. Time, noon for sure. Weather, it's really up to you, if you want to be daring put rain on! Traffic, off. Wanted levels, off.Great race, Thanks for the smiles. Chaparral Speedway I've done this race solo and in PLs, when in solo you can take the track nicely, but when your racing with the crew your more likely to crash, just by trying to hard to get the lead. This race is like the living the dream, racing in super cars in the beautiful countryside, the roads are all pretty much 2 lanes which makes it harder to stick to the racing line but this also sorts out the drivers from the racers. Your checkpoints are on point. Have you a lot of props around this track, which doesn't make it easy to cut corners and that's a good thing. The recommended settings are already in place, but it's down to you, all classes are open which is always great to make the track last out. Great race, Thanks for the smiles. Jacked Up Jetmax I've done this race solo and in PLs, This is a GTA race, no rockets, just boosts for fun. But you know someone will get you in the end. The fact that it's crisscross is great for GTA. It's not just a basic figure of eight, there are two points where the checkpoints crisscross which means T-bone heaven. The checkpoint are fine as every race. It's locked to the Jetmax. 2 laps is standard setting but 3 or 4 laps is fine. Time, I'd say noon or morning, just to try and catch people out. Weather, really doesn't make a change so it's your choice. Traffic, I don't think it will make any change to this race. Wanted levels, again your choice, if you just want to fight friends turn it off or get the police in the action as well for double the fun!Great race, Thanks for the smiles. A: I am on most afternoons after work from about 4-7 pm (+11 GMT) or so and on the weekends whenever I am not doing much (and allowed too haha). I try to make as many playlists as possible as they are the most fun. When the main events aren't running there are usually a few crew members on in which I will play captures, DMs and races with as it isn't as fun with randoms any more. 2. What was your first IRL job? A: My first cash in hand job (at age 14 or 15 I think) was a "marker" at the local rifle range. Basically I would sit under the targets and wait for them to shoot and then I would pull down the target, mark the shot and indicate their score. 3. What was your first IRL car? A: My first car was a 1979 Holden Gemini. It was a rust bucket but it was a very fun little car. I think it was a 1.6L rear wheel drive car. I got it to learn in and then had to get rid of it as it needed to much work to pass registration again. 4. What are your hobbies outside of GTAO? A: Shooting people and driving dangerously. OOhhh outside of GTAO! Haha. Pretty much all my spare time has been playing GTA lately But I enjoy snowboarding and unfortunately only usually get to go for a week a year. I do a little bit of mountain biking as we have some really nice trails through the national park, but my fitness isn't great at the moment and I haven't been out much. I also own a small boat and go out and swim, and sometimes go wake boarding and fishing. I would like to get into playing guitar again but motivation and time are hard to come by for all these activities! 5. Married? Kids? A: Virtually married, Been with my GF for 8 years now, not engaged either and no kids. 6. Where did you meet your wife? A: I'll answer any way we worked at Krispy Kreme donuts together haha 7. If you could add a car and weapon to GTAO, what would they be? A: They have a great selection of weapons and cars, but what I would love to see would be a formula 1 car. They seem to have most guns covered that I know of, I would like to see the stun gun and molotovs online, but for a new weapon, a Flame thrower could be pretty fun. And it would be cool to also have boats and cars with mounted machine guns as well. 8. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why? i'm not exactly sure of the locations but i'd love to live on those beaches in resort commercials with the lovely greenish blue crystal clear waters... 9. If the crew were to visit you, where would you take them to experience your culture? A: What a hard question! So many things to factor in. I'm over living in and near the city, the only thing keeping me here is friends and family. I keep coming back to a snow resort in Canada somewhere, because the whole snow resort lifestyle is awesome. Everyone is in holiday mode and happy, and there is a lot to do in summer and winter. 10. If the crew were to visit you, where would you take them to experience your culture? A: I guess the typical Australian thing to do would be to have a BBQ with lots of beer and wine! We would go down to one of many local beaches which tourists think are amazing (just normal to me haha) and have a swim and bbq 11. What is your favorite meal? A: I don't really have a favourite meal. I usually cook what ever is easy and am quiet happy with basic food. That being said, You cant really go past a good chicken parmigiana. 12. Any advise for new crew members looking to fit in? A: The very best part about this crew is the happy and cheery atmosphere. Every one is laughing and having fun and that's the most important thing. So as long as you are having fun, You will fit right in. Also, don't be discouraged if you don't finish races or keep getting killed in DMs. This crew has some of the best players, and given time and patience, you will quickly become a lot better in all aspects of the game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Past Have You Mets?: JustHatched, BustyRose, Troysayshi, PB76, DavidCore, Fido, Wecang, Dodge, Furdog, LN-MLB, Locust, Ro9M, Erin, Danielle, Casey, Dead_GooN, Zmurko, Vishesh, G37, Matus, SSRacing, Rumdig, Cotick, Lann3fors, NewsBot, Beez, Banketelli, BrianM, Xyon, PDX96, Wraignbow, Rikster, Offroadmudpunk, LV_Jag, mattymcrae, Onrefne, Profane, ScotyB88 ========================================================================================== Photo by Casey ========================================================================================== Our crew website DomesticBatterygta.com is quite active and is a great resource for GTA V gamers new and experienced. We already have a few new members waiting for the release of PS4 to join us Yah I think I will I've thrown my hat at a couple crews this week looking to find more players in the gmt timezone. But so far not a lot of luck. You definitely won't struggle to find someone to play with here, it's life ruining Banketelli
Banketelli
THE EUROPEAN CANNONBALL RUN: PART II This time: Stock cars + More ground to cover = More explosions! = More fun!!! When? Monday 17/11-14 at 09:00 PM (GMT) Where? All over the place! What? An epic race around the entire map of Los Santos and Blaine County. Racers are encouraged to find their own best way to the checkpoints as they deal with both traffic and weather. Host? Banketelli Details? Zmurko has created the race that we will run this time. It will be a GTA Race and stock cars will be used. The class will be set to utility and as soon as the race begins, you will have to steal yourself a car off the street. You can of course change car as many times as you like/need. Still, pick wisely. (NO SHOOTING IS ALLOWED DURING THE RACE!) Estimated duration? Around an hour. Pre-lobby? I will open a lobby 30 minutes before. It would be cool with some pictures like last time, so I would like everyone to be there minimum 10 minutes before the race kicks off. The meetup will be on Del Perro Pier at the Ferris Whale. No cars this time. Just make sure to wear your favorite hockey mask. Pics from last weeks pre-run meetup: How to get in on stuff like this? This is just one of our many events. Sign up on our website and post an introduction, and you will be free to get involved in all crew activities from day 1. Domestic Battery
XDBX News!!! By LV_Jag and JustHatched ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Domestic Battery Weekly Newsletter November 20, 2014 Issue 33 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crew Social Media: Social Club - Facebook - Twitter The PS4 transition has begun among the crew this week. We have new, unvetted members joining us for the first time on PS4. We need the unvetted members to join game invites from representatives in order to be noted properly. This is very important in the vetting process. Since the crew does not currently have vetting playlists on PS4, this is a very important aspect of getting notes and accepted into the crew as a representative. If you plan to attend any PS3 or PS4 events, be sure to double check the calender and timers of over the next couple weeks while playlists hosts make their move to PS4. Keep in mind that during these early PS4 days for our crew that things may seem a bit hectic and/or unorganized, but your Management Staff is working to get things ironed out and running smooth. Please have patience and feel free to ask any questions. Know that adjustments are being discussed to ensure each crew member will have something to do on both platforms. More details will be posted on the website and in future Newsletters It is likely that by the 1st of the new year that the majority of the crew will shift from PS3 to PS4. It is guessed that this will happen to other crews as well, be on the look out for other players looking for a PS3 crew to game with. XDBX can fill that void and keep an active and growing PS3 division in the months to come. If you have made the jump to PS4 and can keep your PS3 a while longer, and event that is coming up in 2 months is the birthday of XDBX. One aspect of this that is being planned in the mind of JustHatched is to make January 28th the official PS3 Day and hopes that all who will still own a PS3 will only play PS3 that day. Hosts interested should begin to think of some awesome events for that week. Speaking of events, if you did not get in the the Farewell PS3 playlists then you missed out. 5 back to back playlists consisting of 16 jobs each with minimal server issues and maximum fun brought the best gaming experience the crew has seen for most of the players in the crew. It was a job well done by Dodge for coming up with the idea and the hosts who made it happen. ============================================================================================= XDBX PS3 WORLD RANKING: Deathmatch - 15,962 (+/-0) | TDM - 7,480 (+/-0) | Vehicle DM - 16,365 (+/-0) | Race - 745(+25) | GTA Race - 3,693 (+17) | Rally Race - 1,231 (-58) | Non-Contact Race - 49 (-1) | Parachuting - 292 (+2) | Tennis - 4,120 (-63) XDBX PS4 WORLD RANKING: Deathmatch - 1,007 (+/-) | TDM - 274 (+/-) | Vehicle DM - N/A (+/-) | Race - 2,217(+/-) | GTA Race - 5,737 (+/-) | Rally Race - N/A (+/-) | Non-Contact Race - 99 (+/-) | Parachuting - 1,045 (+/-) ============================================================================================= XDBX CREW MEMBER NEWS: - Congratulations to Nejcm17 - phiNole and SanAndreasRealOG on their promotions to Crew Representative. Once again this Creator comes up with a brilliant Idea. Love the "rush hour" team or traffic chaos whatever you will call it, and was just waiting for one of the cars to blow up and start a chain reaction, that sadly never happened though. Next time I play this I will concentrate on blowing up a car instead of killing my enemies. Well spaced out pickups, the way you put them gets the attention to where you want the action to happen, and people needs to get down to the road to get their ammo, except that one rifle that was on the 2nd or third "floor" not sure where it was since I never saw it. I'm not sure if that single pickup is a good or bad one, probably a bit of both maybe, depends on how you see it, could help someone camp there and it could help someone flank, either way I have no problems with it. Didn't have any spawn issues either. When that is said, IMO this job should not be played with traffic on, there's just to much going on already, and I ended up with an terrible lag the last time we played it. Well done Mr. Riot Ohhh dear this one was manic at least for my sake. I really like the location, houses on the sides and a big open zone in the middle that was filled with different props. I also like very much that the creator has put the more powerful weapons in the middle, this draws those whom urge for a better weapon to centre and where most of the action is. From what I could see there where no issues with spawn points, didn't get spawned killed and did neither kill anyone whom was spawning. The only thing I can put my finger on is that freaking rain, the rain combined with the loosing screen and grenade explosions every where its just gets to much, but this isn't the creators fault though rather a personal view. Good Job Mr.. Bullet Gauntlet A cool location, you get this gang attack feeling. As we got pinned to the starting point the whole match I can't really say how good this map really was working, I need to try it more to get the feeling of it. I tried to flank a few times but either got gunned down or pinned behind a pillar. it became a good gun fight though. I really experience any spawn issues, except that I spawned in two different spots the whole match, and that doesn't bother me as long it's not to fare away from the action. As I can see from the RSC the spawns seems really even spaced out. The props also does their purpose as most of them are used to lock down the erea. Good Job Mr. Enter Hangman Roof fights are always fun! I enjoyed this one, the only thing I could put my finger on is the Micro SMG pickup as I mentioned ingame, but that's really not a big fuzz as it function well as a ammo pickup for your main weapon (SMG), I didn't see if the creator has fixed this from the first time I did play it. I knew where the Carbines was this time and was heading for those straight away, and got in hiding behind my favourite spot. As good as prop less, and nothing is better than getting that to work and no spawn issues that I could see. Great Work Mr. Races Reviews by SanAndreasRealOG Majestic Tailgaters I've done this race solo and in PLs, this race is locked to the Obey Tailgater, within this race is some very tricky and tight corners, with some great checkpoints to lead you to victory, it's not the longest race if you don't keep crashing. The reason why I like this race is because it's simple track when you know it, but if you're flat out racing it's pretty damn hard to get a perfect lap. Most of the corners in this race are corners you have to drive yourself, you can't expect the Tailgater to do all the work. Also everyone thinks they can drive the tailgater because of story mode. Well it's time to see if you can! Your prop placement is really good, at times I was thinking is that user placed or R* placed? Very well done for that! Two last words. Obey Richards. Recommended setting are default. Great race, Thanks for the smiles. Street Dreams I've done this race solo and in PLs, is there much more to be said than "Sweet Dreams" and this race is made by DavidCore89. It feels like a street track to me, just tyre strips and stacks everywhere and all placed with thought. If I had to be picky, I'd say put something at the start of the up ramp inside the tunnel. That's if you have props left, I see you have placed a lot. Your checkpoints are crazy good. A lot of creators could also learn from your checkpoints. Me also. Just love how this race just flows and flows feels so great. I can't really write much about this race, expect do yourself and you'll understand. Default setting are recommended. Laps, I've done 6 laps a couple of times now solo. But I love racing. It's up to you. Great race, Thanks for the smiles. Boardwalk I've done this race solo and in PLs, I personally like sedans instead of coupes. Very hard to get your lines right in this race, but if you do you see a gap open up its because you have pulled away or crashed. If you make one mistake you can end up making two or three so easily. It's seems like half of the track is single lane, which I always like. Its build around the Los santos beach boardwalk which everyone has drove around one time or another. Your checkpoint are fine if you now how to read checkpoints. I actually do like this track because I always think I can do better than my last lap. Your props are placed very well indeed. Recommended settings are default. Great race, Thanks for the smiles. A little history; the original On Any Sunday was produced in 1971 by filmmaker Bruce Brown who's most famous film up to that point was Endless Summer (1964) a surfing documentary. The original On Any Sunday is widely regarded by motorcyclists as the best motorcycle move of all time. It stars Steve McQueen, Malcolm Smith and Mert Lawill and highlights several different disciplines of moto racing both pro and amateur and has a sort of fun, innocence throughout the film. It's just a feel good movie that wants you want to get out and ride. Some of it is corny but that is its charm. If you have any queries regarding this or anything else, please contact myself or anyone of the senior staff members as we are all here to help. cotick20
Event: Playlist (LN-MLB on PS3) Platform: PS3Event Host: LN-MLBEvent Name: Playlist (LN-MLB)Event Start Date: 11/22/2014Event Start Time (GMT): 03:30 am (GMT) - SundayEvent Start Time (Local): 07:30 pm (PST) - SaturdayEstimated Duration: 1 hour, 30 minReoccurring or One Time Event?: Weekly Hatch and I have swapped PL days for the time being. I will be hosting this PL on Saturday nights (09:30 pm CST - 02:30 am Sunday GMT) for at least the next month. All jobs will be able to hold a total of 16 players. It will be a mixture of (mostly crew created) races, DMs/TDMs, captures, and an odd R* or R* verified job every now and then. I welcome you all to submit jobs that you would like to see played--whether they are your own or someone else's. In general, there will be about 10 jobs total per PL on average. I always like to feature new and lesser played jobs, so if you have something you want played, let me know and I'll do my best to add it.Please RSVP so that I can know about how many will be attending. I generally launch from a closed session to ensure that I do not get a timer, and I will post messages via RSC and the shoutbox before it starts.I look forward to hosting this, and hope to see you guys there. FYI - With the launch of the PS4, most of you are aware that I have not made the jump to that platform just yet and will not until the beginning of the new year. With that said, this PL will continue to be hosted for the time being on PS3.
