Is it wrong to kill players who are using shops?

The simple answer is yes.

OP, you are indeed a total bastard. Don't let the revelation keep you up at night though.

Its mean but running in and clobbering them with the baseball bat never gets old.

I agree.. If you're gonna cheap shot me while im minding my own business please do it with some style.

Id prefer a nice melee weapon to the face or back. At least thats funny.

Also.. Some of you guys need to stop trying to sticky bomb PVs when im in the shops. I got turtle beaches on so i can hear the damn thing beeping from inside the store.

This is exactly why I never visit LSC in an open lobby. Hail of gunfire/explosives as soon as you exit with no chance of survival or even the ability to move/defend yourself. Any other stores and passive should always be on.

No. If you are silly enough to use shops without passive mode on, you have it coming.

this, it's one of the few cases where passive actually works

Nope. If you are in Ammu-Nation and in passive, some griefer takes out his gun to shoot you, you don't die. BUT, the shop owner who is an NPC instantly becomes aggro'd and attacks any players, including you who is in passive and can't fight back.

rockstar would have put in some sort of mechanism to prevent shooting people in shops.

Such as being unable to use your weapons inside shops? Shooting from the outside bypasses that, basically an exploitation of the system.

Plus, I've done this myself a few times to people who have done it to me, and each time I've noticed that my weapon wants to stop firing when I aim at a player who is inside a store, like how in some games you can't shoot at NPCs, only around them.

So, obviously, Rockstar didn't intend for people to get ganked in stores, because stores aren't for ganking and it's a douche thing to do.

A discussion of the ethics of in-store killing in GTA:O...

Whenever I see someone using a shop on the map online I go and clip them. Am I a total bast*rd for doing this?

I am very careful when using shops and get what I need very quickly so I haven't been the victim of this. Some of my victims have gotten quite upset about the whole thing.

Kill them anyway you like. This is GTA everyone is fair game.

Meh.. GTA is a open world crime simulator.. Not an open world terrorist simulator.

I know some people have a hard time understanding this. But if it don't make dollars, it don't make sense. :D

It does make dollars, and criminals care about reputation for brutality because power = money

Or said players could go play some PVP modes instead of cheap shooting players in Free roam to pad their worthless K/D ratio.

It makes sense to waste time, ammo and cash on killing random players for no reason? Doesn't sound profitable to me nor does it make any sense.

As Mr Scarface said. Money = Power. No one gives a sh*t about some back stabbing troll in the dark wasting everyones time, money and cash when that troll couldn't fight their way out of paper bag.

People just have mental issues. Get your cheap shots while you can, then go passive and jerk when it comes back on ya. The jerk, the official TAP out of GTA.

No. I just checked and I feel absolutely fine with that double kill.

I don't agree with your griefing methods but I'll defend to the death your right to use them

This famous quote from the enlightenment era sums up my feeling about a lot of threads on here.

I haul ass outta lsc and I almost always make it.

same, I've noticed there's a ghost mode now as soon as you leave so unless your surrounded by tanks its easy

Its a cheap tactic. But one thats pretty easy to backfire.if you see a guy coming toward you take cover in a changing room. And if someone shoots in the store and closes it cap them as they come through the door. Friend of mine got killed in binco by some ass hat so I deliberately went to suburban gun at clerk to close the store and took cover in changing rooms. Moments later guy who killed my fried appeared and got shotgunned before he even got in the door. Bet he wasnt expecting that.

Average cash drop is >£150 much more than ammo cost. People noticeably back off if they see my K/D after being killed a few times which has got me out if tight spots. It often results in a bounty being placed on me = more cash and kills.

And I don't use passive (or tanks or lazers) because I'm not a total numpty

Sorry there I was being a little on the sarcastic side. I was trying to imply that it involves an element of exploiting to kill someone in a shop. Still its nothing but a cowardly move reserved for those who are too scared of their little virtual dude being killed so they pick on people who can't fight back. As said before all this topic has proven is who the little fairy boys are.

Actually it's mostly done to provoke a fight.

I've never checked anyones K/D ratio ever because its never mattered. Infact people with the highest are actually the worst players possible. Besides most players K/D ratio is null due to AA.

If any question you have about GTA:O begins with "Is it wrong to kill players who...", then the answer is no.

In fact, if your question begins with "Is it wrong to...", then the answer is also no.

Players like the OP like to challenge themselves. They take on the really tough jobs in GTA0 that nobody else wants to do, such as taking out the soft targets. True studs. :bored:

It's almost impossible you're this stupid. A high K/D doesn't necessarily NECESSARILY mean the player is good, it means they have I high K/D - which is when you kill more than you die which happens to also be a feature of some players who's ability to kill other players is higher than most other players ability to kill them.

Who gives a sh*t if YOU check any of the information available to you. To you it would apparently be useless.

You're too bad to kill someone while they're not preoccupied so you kill someone in a menu minding their own business and feel good about it. Yeah?

Soft targets, hard targets - I like to keep killing till the session is empty

I don't know why you're assuming I'm bad. Is enjoying easy kills mutually exclusive with enjoying hard ones?

No, it's not wrong.

Rule 1 of surviving in LS - be alert. The victim usually fails in this so tough sh*t.

This was the sort of thing I was expecting from GTA forum

If they have a bounty or have killed or tried to kill you, then no it is not wrong. If they're just shopping and have not wronged you, let them be.

Only bad kids and players who like killing indiscriminately would run up on someone shopping.

Killing shoppers is like stealing a blind disabled kid's lunch money. How you can actually take pride in doing it is beyond me.
