Is it wrong to kill players who are using shops?

You're comparing an animal killing to survive, to some dude bothering a dude in a video game.

1. The amount of personal insults from the peace and love camp.

 

2. The really quite baffling references to either COD, trolls and COD

 

3. How many people don't seem to notice themselves saying that K/D is meaningless in one sentence, and then giving a precise meaning in the next sentence - all the while skirting around the very obvious meaning it actually has, namely lethality in GTA:O. The train of equivocations follow, passing from 'meaningless' (as in of no prestige value) to 'meaningless' (as in multideterminate) and all the way to 'meaningless' (as in statistically complex).

 

If you can't work out what K/D means in GTA:O then you are really a little slow.

 

Because it means several things you don't like does not mean it means nothing.

yeah... you're telling us a high K/D ratio is a good indicator of a duchebag player to be avoided and shunned... right?

 

Meaningless = to have no real value or indication of anything. This is what the KDR is... as the OP has so skillfully pointed out, you may easily raise your KDR by eliminating people who cannot shoot back and avoiding any scenario (e.g. Deathmatches) where an opportunity to be shot at exists... super l33t bro.. super l33t...

I could not care less if you are, or are not, one of them.

 

What people seem to forget about K/D is that it means I get killed very less often than others - I don't use passive, I don't use tanks, I don't switch sessions unless I'm in apartment, I don't glitch, I don't play in private sessions - yet everyone seems to think I can only kill when the careless are in a shop. Most of my kills are defensive.

Ok, so before last night I was neither for or against as I just play for fun, it happens to me, I've done it to others very very rarely if its somebody I had earlier had a confrontation with, whatever.

Last night I found a guy in a store, I was with 3 other crew including my wife's character. We seemingly all decided to let them be and a few of us bought some clothes alongside him.

Afterwards we walked outside and kinda just all stood around taking photos n sh*t. Oh we burnt a random NPC for fun but that was as far as weapon usage went and was in no way aimed at the random guy we found in the store.

So a few moments pass and all of a sudden he pulls out his shotgun and blasts my wife away. Strange choice to make when you are a lower rank against a crew of 4. He got spawn killed till he left which is the norm for players who think our lower ranked members are easy fodder.

So in conclusion, I will no longer take the risk, just like with car customization, if they are there to long or seem to be camping then its lights out.
It's a game, it involves crime and murder, things are bound to happen that annoy or disrupt you. Get over it if its an issue or use passive.

Although, saying that, I do think that you'd actually believe that someone on this forum would hope to see you online and would go somewhere and wait for you. He'd destroyed my Banshee I'd left at the airfield, was level 289 or something stupid and appeared to be driving an Adder..

 

All of which in my book makes a legitimate target...

 

Pity for him that i'd left the airfield in a Buzzard and had Lester's time-off-radar fully charged...

 

He didn't get far after robbing that shop, I tell you....

edit - ok he might have been robbing the shop - but that's still kind of using.. or he might've been stocking up on Egochasers.. still... deserved to die nonetheless..

Haven't got killed or kill someone in-store shopping.Have to agree its a dick move trapping/killing a player while they're shopping.But that doesn't stop me from shooting their PV tires and sending (small amount) bounties at them and see them running in their punctured car....lol.Done it once.
