The GTA V beta hunt

Wow interesting stuff with the weapons guys, great work, really angry most of this isn't in game, especially the scar. But as we all know there are only 6 spots on the ammunition dlc gun rack, meaning we will most likely get only six more guns. But none the less good finds?

This is Hud.ctd in part2.rpf/data/cdimages/scaleform_generic.rpf/. There's a M14 which I assume is the Assault Sniper, a SCAR which was the original Advanced Rifle, another LMG not in the game, a missile, a bullet, and some futuristic XM25 looking rifle.

What the f*ck is up with the hud image.

Hmm, interesting, would of liked the scar. Also appeared there was hud for the attachments, meaning those hud images were replaced by the text in the centre of the weapon wheel when you select a weapon.

Well, the fact R* carried the lasso but dropped it is still infuriating, it could add hours of additional fun to the game.

By the way, does anyone else finds it weird that the magazine on the SCAR is painted in it's traditional beige color however the gun itself is black? Well, that's a gun I'd always paint in desert colors.

EDIT: If the CE weapons hud is in that picture, its possible some of those are dlc (Assault Sniper, rubber gun?)

That's actually the Ash Hoodie from the Special/Collector's edition.

Isn't that an Angels of Death logo!? I was going to say that maybe they just used the GTAIV Gang Burrito as a placeholder (as wasn't there only an AOD Van in GTAIV?) but it kind of looks like the van itself is a Boxville...

 

Also, the fire extinguisher may not have been completely cut. I've heard people say that fire fighters will rarely use a fire extinguisher to put out small fires if they are on foot. Never tested it out myself, though.

Good point, when I first saw the trailer I thought it was AoD too, but then the story would make no sense. Was Johnny added late? What made it stranger is that in the GTAseriesVideos breakdown of trailer 2, they stated it was a Lost Van... wtf?

Yet people still presumed Johnny was the one getting the sh*t beat out of him in the second trailer. Or the Lost are clearly seen in Trevor's trailer.

That doesn't really make sense to me. I could have sworn that Rockstar said Trevor was in a fued with The Lost either as soon as they revealed him, or very shortly after.

 

It was the whole reason people thought Trevor might have an alliance with the AOD for the longest time, and how people knew he was stomping in Johnny from the start.

I think the megaphone will be used for when Rockstar switch general chat to close proximity. The player will use the megaphone when they want their voice transmitted throughout the lobby and not to just nearby players.

 

Also, apparently some people have hacked the fire extinguisher into Online. It just knocks players over much like the water cannon on top of the Fire Truck.

It was going to be usable for players too though, as there are stats for it.

 

I think the megaphone will be used for when Rockstar switch general chat to close proximity. The player will use the megaphone when they want their voice transmitted throughout the lobby and not to just nearby players.

It was (also) going to be used in the Franklin random encounters with the warring neighbors, in the third encounter you drive around and the neighbor hangs out the car with a megaphone yelling rumors about the other neighbor.

About the fire extinguisher and the megaphone, which category was it in at the weapon wheel? They don't quite fit in any of them, unless you consider the throwables category to be a "misc" category.

I noticed that apparently, Soulwax FM was called Radio Soulwax in the beta. And talking about Radio X, isn't there a segment on Channel X where they say it's what became of Radio X? At least I'm sure they mention Radio and X closely in the same sentence.

It's apart of Franklins App's, Radio Streaming App, only the left side would be selectable which are the stored "favorites" which were just the normal in game radio stations, seemed to be cut mid way-ish, as it's apart of the earlier phone Ui designs.

 

edit: @Darth_Starkiller, there's actually one part on the stations that does that call sign, and another point where it also does SLWX-FM.
