It's American, a H&K equivalent would have some German name with some sort of innuendo as usual.

 

 

The closest thing to H&K I remember is Glock and it's called Vom Feuer (From Fire). They also have a Mossberg parody, Shrewsbury.

As I mentioned earlier, I think it's more a parody of Winchester considering that it's described as a producer of firearms that won the West. But many companies are composites of various real ones.

I wouldn't know much about ugh manufacturers since that's not my area of expertise but it does seem like Rockstars being a bit more direct with them rather than being loose with how they car companies are. Vom Feuer is based out of Austria and is known for its pistols, much like glock, and so on.

It'll be interesting to see the rest anyway as I suppose most of the guns should get detailed textures with the process of revamping.

Look at trevor, blue jacket and white shirt, you can find the exactaly same jacket on Trevor's trailer and you can buy the same clothes in Suburban but you cannot wear a jacket from the same color.

I found something interesting, while playing The Paleto Score in the moment of the shootout there's a moment that Franklin says "How many dudes they got in this private army?" But actually they are the normal militaries from Fort Zancudo and not the private (Merryweather). Was Merryweather replaced by Zancudo dudes in the Paleto Score and they forgot to cut Franklin's phrase?

 

He says it in other missions involving Merryweather so it could just be an over-sight or it's meant to show how much Franklin doesn't care about that type of stuff?

 

Trevor talked about how the cops paid off the army to defend their piggy bank. So nope. It could be beta and it could not be. We will never know...

You can still get struck by lightning. It's very rare and there is no side effect (at least on vehicles, but probably on foot too), but you can be struck.

So lightning is an actual effect in the game and not just part of the sky? Interesting...

I guess they didn't include such random encounter in the game because getting struck by lightning is an extremely rare occurence in real life. If you made the chance for it as low as in real life it wouldn't be worth the hassle of putting it in the first place, if you made it far more common it'd be both unrealistic and annoying.

This is what I've been wanting to know. In this day and age where those "like rate subscribe" schmucks are recording everything and anything for a buck, I'm surprised they didn't record lightning hitting them yet.

I've been through 3 playthroughs and I've never seen the Merryweather Dilentante.

I've seen Merryweather Diletantes patroling around Elesyan Islands and Davis Quartz. The Tow Trucks spawn but they are pretty rare in traffic in Paleto Bay. The Tow Trucks work like taxis with any char by offering you jobs and you can force job with the anaglog sticks.

If you watch the gray pole on the right that the guy drives by in the first video, you'll see that it's lit up white along with the car and ground, which many people have mistaken for a lightning bolt. Not sure about the second video, though, since you only see a bright flash.

 

I think the lightning bolt is simply a visual effect that's apart of the game's 'skybox', not a literal bolt striking somewhere on the map. Otherwise, there's bound to have been at least one player seeing a lightning bolt strike the ground near him.
