The GTA V beta hunt

I should also add: it's possible that there was some type of dockhouse on the EAST side of the map which also doubled as a safehouse for (possibly) Michael. You can see the icon in the gameplay trailer when he dives from the boat into the ocean.

Yep. I actually made a thread about this last week.

You can't get flare online. It's automatically used by Michael (and probably by Dave and Stevie) in Monkey Business.

You can actually my friend, once you reach level 50, you can call merry weather for an Airstrike. You are automatically equipped with a flare that when thrown, signals the airstrike to that location.

Firstly, that rumour about Lamar replacing Franklin is simply and internet rumour. I've yet to see a reliable source show me the code, or upload his "unused audio file" to prove otherwise.

Secondly, you should just list those cut songs without radio stations because some of them don't even have radio stations assigned to them (even if, e.g. Cheap Trick was originally on LSRR)

However, the legitimate finds:

- There was a mission for Solomon in which Michael had to steal a fighter jet being transported on the back of a military truck.

- Vinewood Boulavard Radio originally didn't exist, instead it was a 90's Rock Station called PMR. This is probably where those 90's rock songs, which are stupidly listed on LSRR, were to go.

- Bodybuilding was to return, and removed some time before the November 2012 previews.

- Along the weapons is (strangely) a megaphone, and the broken bottle from the beach bum pack was in the original game.

Good finds, but I don't run the radio station thread, I just linked to it.

Edit: So to ask another question, what things cut from the beta do you guys think will return in DLC?

Please edit your initial post if you want to add something to it.

- The taxi had ''Police Cruiser'' written on the name tag on its back instead of ''Taxi cab''.

- There were a lot of snow vehicles removed, could of had been used in NY probably. Between those are the ski- mobiles and a snow plow.

- The Rhapsody was cut.

- The APC was cut out.

- A posible beta map can be found in the atheist website under the tab ''Want to play god?''.

- Paleto Bay had a sheriff station, its still in the game however it is that of a low resolution and bugged, only the LOD is loaded.

- The Tequila-la could of had been a location where you play darts, if you go to the basement you can find a set of darts.

No, that's not a beta map, they had the map laid out really early on, and that website would have been much later, plus it doesn't really resemble LA at all.

And for the snow vehicles and apc, were they found in GTA V coding along with the Max Payne 3 coding, because then there is a lot of cut sh*t, we need to dig that MP3 vehicle list and look through it again.

Any meaningful findings on vehicles out there?

I know that mentions of Rhapsody, Marbelle and Uranus were found in the handling files.

Any models or something like that? There's that one cut plane that seems to be fully modeled.

Was it red & white and had blackened windows?

Didn't read through the whole thread, so sorry if I'm repeating anything.

The advanced rifle was originally based off the SCAR.

There was also going to be a Shovel, and Assault Sniper rifle.

There's also laser gun settings in the game, it's unknown if they're used AFAIK.

Handling info for a vehicle called Winky, which is probably a light van, but that was also in MP3.

And other vehicles in MP3's handling; Napalm, Skamp, and Autogyro.

There was a mission where you used the forklift to pick up crates.

Brucie was supposed to be in the game in a mission.

Franklin had 2 more sets of random encounters, 2 for a guy called Dale, and 5 between 2 fighting neighbors.

Michael had a 2 cut random encounters, both with a lady called Magenta.

Then there was 2 missions about a band, the first to keep them together, then you had to stop Trevor from sabotaging their concert.

And some mini-games like pimping, basketball, air hockey, pool, lifting weights, stealing/exporting cars.

All sources are in the link in my sig.

I can confirm this. I just went there and snapped a pic with my phone. Sorry for the quality but my internet's down for a while.

Those are great finds man, especially the weapons, I never noticed the SCAR took the TARs place.

- Carbine Rifle rifle replaced the proposed M4.

- Original pistol designed was based off of a Glock 17, but ended up being replaced by PT92.

- Michael can be seen brandishing a M1911 (possibly meant to be the Combat Pistol.)

- Baller originally had six spoke wheels.

- Taco Van was shown to be all white.

Hmmm, I'm gonna hold off on those weapon points since they are artworks and artworks for gta mostly don't accurately depict the game, bu good finds with the others.

And @Officer Ronson, I see you decided to quit your career as a firefighter to pursue your dream as a racist republican cop. Butch and the commander would be proud.

Its the only kind of freedom that matters.

- The Mission Row Police Station has a fully modelled basement and another officer beyond the door by the right at the lobby.

- One of the white cops variation had hair.

- Paramedics had darker uniforms.

- The shop in Portola drive despicting a naked man holding a shopping bag originally had nothing on the side, the Windows were pretty much reflective.

- Inside of the Fort Zancudo base soldiers in excersising clothes cwould spawn.
