I thought it could be one of these from TurboSquid, being sold for 3DS Max 2011 and 2012, but the textures don't seem the same and the models are not exactly equal either I think...

I found that crescentdialgames uploaded a gun store with shooting range model on unity marketplace, that model has the same XM25 bundled with it, although the website does not say when the asset was initially uploaded and only update date which is 2018, so i guess it's possible that the original Programmable AR model was a placeholder taken from some asset that crescentdialgames created

Looks like he deleted both the sketchfab post and the gun store asset... So was this a "leak" then???

 

One of his assets also has a wood bark normal map that's from GTA V too

 

//Edit he also privated the video of his mansion pack which was called "GTA VI inspired", but the asset was released in 2021...??? Though one of comments says "GTA IV" so maybe it was a typo? However no mentions of GTA in description 

 

He's still selling the asset by the way, just privated the video showcase

This was brought up here a long time ago by someone else and nothing ever came of it. It's been on my mind recently since cut vehicles like the Matador/HHR and Issi hardtop were discovered in the 1st trailer and I don't think this quite matches anything in the final game.

It looks like a boxy SUV with a wide inset license plate surround, square taillights, a strip at the top of the rear bumper, and a vent on the bottom of the rear bumper.

 

At first I thought it might be another instance of the Matador/HHR but the rear end design differs from the render in Simeon's office despite having a similar shape. The Landstalker and 2nd gen Cavalcade are the closest vehicles in the final game I can find except neither are quite a match either. The Landstalker's license plate surround isn't wide enough, it has black rather than painted rear pillars, and it lacks the strip at the top of the rear bumper. The Cavalcade has the painted pillars and bumper strip but the license plate surround is still not a match and the taillights are too rectangular.

 

I wonder if it's another of the cut SUVs like the Pyxis or something?

idk why but the rear reminds me of the Panto, or a Smart Car. I dunno, I keep thinking it's one of those cars even tho it isn't one.

 

Kia Soul type of car maybe? idk, I keep thinking it's smaller than it should be.

It does look like the Panto, the details between them are very similar. I think it's been compared to the Panto in previous posts discussing it many years ago too, but I think the Panto is too small to be the same vehicle. This is quite far in the distance and it doesn't look tiny compared to the Manana behind it despite being even farther away. In the same scenario I think the Panto would be quite a bit smaller looking than the Manana. A compact SUV or hatchback like the Soul or a second generation Scion XB type vehicle would be a close match I think.

 

The cut Pyxis sounds like it might have been similar so I wondered if this could be it. It used the Cavalcade interior like an SUV and was replaced by a Bison in a mission, but was also grouped with compact cars in a race mode which makes it seem like it may have been a small or compact SUV or hatchback like the mysterious white vehicle in the trailer appears to be.

ive also wondered about it. to me it looks like it might be based on the Jeep Cherokee, but its so quick and blurry its hard to tell.

My first thought seeing this was a Scion xb / nissan cube. Those cars were ridiculously popular around that time

The October Patch Data is a near-final version of the European region Patch 1.02. Although I don't have the Retail Patch Data for this version with me, the version of this prototype is very close to the final version which means that the changes are probably almost non-existent. Regarding the September Patch data, it is an earlier version of the retail Patch 1.01. Unlike 1.02, I have the retail version 1.01 and yes there are many differences compared to the final version in relation to file sizes but perhaps they are not that relevant either. I do not have authorization to make them available on the hidden palace wiki but I would not see a problem in making them available somewhere but I mention again that they are probably irrelevant and honestly I still do not understand if eboot.bin is encrypted or corrupted. remembering that these patchs were obtained from devkits that are on the internet and none of this is mine, I just extracted it.

Something dropped yesterday, GTAV install data from July 23 2013. Obviously a late build and some is corrupted but apparently it contains alot of debug scripts, some stuff relating to cut content like the sharmoota job. Will post more as I look through it.

Now that the cat's out of the bag, there is A LOT of interesting things, especially bugstar logs dating all the way back to 2011, meaning we have a list of all bug reports from early stages of development including mentions of cut missions etc. (here's some random interesting bits)

CAR1 - The help text appears "You are too close to use the in car camera." if player is far away from Brucie's car.

Can we swap out the rubber bullet gun, for a model more like this one, it will have to use the smg animations, be fully auto and be able to be used in a vehicle.

Franklin 2 Lamar Down - Michael T-Poses when retrying at "Ride to parking lot" objective

CS_Sandy - model needed for the Sharmoota setup scenes.

wish for ambient dog passengers in convertibles.

'Patch unlocked' banner displayed twice for Lost crook after completing first hold up - MP_AWARD_HOLD_UP_SHOPS

Default clothing for Female Lost characters is a black hoody with a patch on the back, causes overlap issues with the real patches that are unlocked in CnC

 

However there is a single thing i find very interesting:

 

When the GTA V source leaked there were found mentions of v_int_6 interior which was also named v_hotel and had coordinates somewhere in Los Santos, but it appears this archive was overwritten later. The interior is actually referred to as v_6_corridors and uses a lot of textures from Humane Labs which is strange, don't you think?

 

Thanks to the leaked bugstar logs and some other debug files, i can say that this was an interior for the Fort Zancudo Bunker, although it's purpose is actually unknown. Before somebody says it - note that this was from 2012 and has nothing to do with the scrapped Singleplayer DLC.

  3. Very confusing standing around doing nothing at points
  4. Difficult to see ped and what he is doing in alley
  5. Just prior to VIP driving in Devin's man walked into security ped
  6. Franklin will come in later, more in later TODO, at the minute confusing what to do (obviously first pass) going to make simpler.
  7. Of the 6 viewing areas have 4 suspicious activities
  8. Third Camera - Someone looks like they are doing something dodgy, use placeholder anim, zoom in again but he is doing something normal with guard dialogue.
  9. Fourth Camera - it’s another red herring it’s a normal guy.
  10. Fifth Camera - Then get to the actual guy, “Who’s this guy he looks a bit suspicious.”, “Ohh he’s getting questioned by security.”
  11. Get security guards to come out and the target kills them as he flees to his car.
  12. At this point player has control and can go and defuse the bomb, L1 for now mini-game later.
  13. On running to defuse the bomb have Franklin call and say “Yo man what’s up, what do you need me for?” Michael tells him to get the guy and put on a headset and he’ll get the bomb. Phone call ends and switch icon comes up.
  14. Franklin still kills the guys as is currently set up.
  15. Bomb on timer, as the bomb is in the last 15 seconds if the player is Franklin, Michael says over headset “sh*t this is about to blow”. Indicating to the player to switch back to Michael to defuse it.
  16. Have each of the red herring camera sections interesting and cool.
  17. If the player is clever he can track the guy from the outset via other cameras but this will be an easter egg, unlikely to be seen on first play. Do this last.
  18. Have some ambient setups at the different camera views – use some anims from car steal 4, aliens, bond character and use some merryweather peds as well.
  19. Also think about clues - we could have the mans car come in on screen at a point – it may not of been in view before...


This basically shows us that this mission was about Devin sending his goons to plant bombs at the film studio, and Michael alongside Franklin have to defuse the bombs and kill Devin's men, alongside some chase sequence.

All the recent pre-release build leaks keep reminding me of what CarsonGT had in their possession a few years back. Hope we get something 2012-ish eventually.

Re-read this thread from page 200. It's so sad that so much has been semi-lost because Discord or other hosting services just dropped their links altogether.

But I was happy to come across my old V PropRestore project/issue. Which I don't think Rockstar has ever fixed, even though they can tweak priority stuff specifically for MP and all.

Right now the devkit HDD is being investigated and it seems that it contains an older build but nothing too crazy at the moment.

For example an interior that is not present in retail has been found,seems like it's a tunnel.

Well this interior is in final game but this seems to be some sort of earlier version, it's the tunnel at the beach which Michael goes through during "Daddy's Little Girl", in final game it's simply stored in vb_ca.rpf
Hopefully there's more interesting stuff in here

Either it’s a canal tunnel or the tunnel that was supposed to be for the harrier mission

The fact that multiple people already have it means that it can't. That was the problem in the first place back then, the guy wanted to dripfeed little by little instead of just uploading the whole thing. He made T2's job easy for them.

I doubt T2 would care about a ps3 devkit of an 11 year old game. He at least never sent a request to remove the download links for the Xbox 360 DLCs that are on the Hidden Palace Wiki. This devkit is not mine, it has been available for download on the internet archive since April 2024. It contains an install date of July 23, 2013 and a build of unknown type with unknown build date. the first one has a common.rpf with many differences (including debug xmls/logs related to sp, mp and cnc). There are more differences like a few map/ped models being slightly different and the existence of a female snow cop (which can be found in the Japanese region version for Xbox 360). the other build has more differences in the map models including some unreleased interiors. Both builds are incomplete and corrupted but it is possible to extract some rpfs from them.
