And Martin is the boss of an entire Cartel that has influence over all of Los Santos, this is kind of different. You'd think he'd learn something from being quick to action in something related to Madrazo and not getting his ass chased in the process.

Slink is asked if Lamar was originally a playable character after ending C, to which he responds "Wow! Where did you hear that from" in my opinion indicating that he has never ever heard of something like this existing (he is visibly surprised), he then proceeds to say how story was different and Lamar was deeper involved, which does not confirm or deny whether he was playable or not and "deeper involved" can mean anything, as we know "Lamar Down" was completely different in beta version of the game.

Not arguing whether it's true or not because I don't know myself, but the "Wow! Where did you hear that from" could also be interpreted as "how did you find out".

At least in my opinion anyway, that's how I got it at first.

Yep but considering he shrugs it off with "oh ok" when the person who asked him the question says it was written on IMDB, it sounds to me like it's more plausible he never heard of something like this

I guess it would be cool to try and ask Slink if he can shed a light on this again

I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but the board of posters outside the Paleto Bay Ammunation has the 'anatomy of a pistol' poster with a Glock diagram rather than the Beretta we got in the final game.

The guns on the outside poster for that ammunation use models from Max Payne 3 rather than their GTA versions used inside the shop

Crazy day, the 7 scrapped Xbox 360 weapon DLCs leaked online.

Assault MG

It uses it's own animation set as expected but the animation files themselves are missing, the model is pretty detailed and it's sad to see it go to waste, it's based on MP3 model but it's much higher quality and way better, except the 128x128 Xbox 360 textures of course. There are two magazine models. The weapon has incorrect tint mapping.

SJ6ifsy.png

Gameplay Video

Animations were changed to Combat MG for the video.

Assault Sniper

For whatever reason it's magazine is 30 round stat wise, there's no extended magazine, by default it's black and white. The texture names are w_sr_l129a1 which proves it's actually based on L129A1 marksman rifle, comparing the two side by side it makes a lot of sense. The model is made from GTA IV M4 but that was already known.

Hyvx3Hm.png

Gameplay Video

Assault SMG

This is the beta model of Assault SMG based on TBOGT's P90. This version is unfinished and uses animations that are now missing, seems they were based on Micro SMG so very unfitting. The weapon has incorrect tint mapping.

kzDb4Wc.png

Gameplay Video

Animations were set to final Assault SMG in the video.

Bullpup Shotgun

Similarly, this is the beta model of Bullpup Shotgun which looks more like real life Kel Tec KSG shotgun. This version is also unfinished and uses Heavy Rifle animations for some reason... The weapon has incorrect tint mapping.

CwwDbbG.png

Gameplay Video

Heavy Rifle

The original beauty of Heavy Rifle! This is basically a fully complete weapon since it's unused animation set is still left in Xbox 360 files.

kcoLCFF.png

Gameplay Video

Programmable Airburst Rifle

Yes, Rockstar Dev #78371, it's Programmable Airburst Rifle and not Programmable Assault Rifle, anyway... For whatever reason there's an additional scope above the weapon model, it does not use it's unused reticle. As already known there are two magazines. Programmable Targetting attachment does exist and is enabled by default but it does nothing apart from having the ProgrammableTargetting component type.
The gun is actually in heavy class and not rifle class which is interesting, and it's group is set to Sniper Rifle...
Programmable Targetting does nothing as the code was removed i guess, as a result the gun works like Valkyrie's cannon like the fanmade modded XM25 variant. The reticle was restored for the video and the gun also has incorrect tint mapping.

3gOhJTg.png

Gameplay Video

Rubber Gun

Finally... the best one so far. We remember Rubber Gun as a blue version of TBOGT's Gold Uzi but behold - there was a new model.

Spoiler

hetcc35.png

(Spoiler for dramatic effect)

This looks to be based on bunch of Less Than Lethal weapon designs out there, it looks pretty f*cking cool. It had 30 round magazine, was in SMG slot and of course it was less than lethal, with non lethal flag and doing 1 damage per shot.
It uses it's own animation set which was removed, but it was based on Micro SMG. Seems this was still pretty early in dev as the animations wouldn't fit the new model.
The magazine is part of the model and that's because it was tintable. The pink part would originally be colored with the tints being in order:
-Orange
-Blue
-Orange 2
-Green
-Red
-Yellow
-White
-Orange 1 again

GCxTDMF.png

Gameplay Video

Animations were set to Micro SMG for the video.

These DLC's apart from Assault Sniper don't work by default though, the setup2.xml file has a different format which is more IV DLC-like and those weapons are lacking shop entries, all of that was fixed to get them back into action.
Thanks to Tervel for recording the videos.

I'm wondering how this happened in the first place tbh. There's two theories of mine atm:

  1. These were leftovers from CarsonGT's original devkit HDD rip because the "original files" folders seem to have hash-named and extensionless files in them, indicating they could've been gotten direct from a HDD recovery program
  2. The GTA V assets may be slowly leaking from darknet circles, someone has them because shortly before the source code leaked, there were videos, documents and more that weren't in the GTA V code repo. If so however, this implies that who is leaking is knowledgeable about GTA internals and modding, as the very specific necessary files, data and metadata was included.

These are from PartnerNet, back in the day there was an exploit where people could basically download unreleased games and dlc, from what I know this has been leaked long time ago but has been hoarded since this day

Fair enough I guess, I thought it just generically said PartnerNet because the source wasn't entirely clear and it was assumed to have been from there.

So there is a beta version of gta 5 and its files on the darknet? And where did this person get the GTA V BETA files from carsonGT?

And what is PartnerNet? Is this a website? Give me a link

Bruh... PartnerNet was just an internal Xbox repository used by developers and testers. Someone at Rockstar meesed up and made them "public". Only those weapon DLCs (and an early Atomic Blimp bonus) leaked.

If you want the files, they are here: https://hiddenpalace.org/Category:Grand_Theft_Auto_V_prototypes (they mostly don't work as they use slightly older GTA IV style code structure)

No "darknet" bullsh*t, yall watched too many "dark web spooky stories" lmao. You could have googled "PartnerNet leaks" and you'd get pretty bang on video about the subject:

This really is some crazy stuff.

So these are from PartnerNet, I'm assuming these were all downloaded around late 2013 - 2014?

In fact they leaked BEFORE the release of V, circa July. Here is a pic of it:

image.jpeg.8174cafdf3ad06117bd58474819302c8.jpeg

It was deemed as fake at first due to it having Game Points visible, which were retired by August (when this image first started popping up). We now know that the screenshot is legit, so it means it was taken in mid-2013.

Edited by MGgames100

Oh sh*t, I think I do vaguely remember seeing that image. That's interesting that the files did end up being distributed. Kinda wild how all this PartnerNet stuff happened, so many game leaks came from it.

Damn, I totally forgot about this image.

I though it was fake back then too, its funny finding out that old "fake" images were actually real all along.

edit: I know these were probably placeholder prices, but £5 for the Rubber Gun!? :modkek:

There also were few more DLC's on PartnerNet that still haven't leaked yet:

Clown outfit for Michael

Army outfit for Trevor

Clown pack/costume for GTA Online (mentioned by Carson back in the day)

Edited by HeySlickThatsMe

There was even a forum thread about it, here:

The image in OP is broken, I assume it's the one from MG's post.

Any relation to Sharmoota Job?

I dunno, it was probably after they scrapped Sharmoota Job and thought it would be nice to release the outfit as MTX

There's actually some leftovers of Mime outfits which I discussed here (btw I updated this post few days ago)

And here's a mockup of how Franklin's Mime pants could have looked like (note that the colours are crushed due to 3ds max render)

yZr4f3w.png

This is based on the leftover normal maps left in dummied out model, the pants are shared with his suit pants but lacking belt and of course cut off so legs are visible

Edited by HeySlickThatsMe

@HeySlickThatsMe Do you think it would be possible in the future to do an elaborated port for the sharmoota job based on all your findings in the past?

The reason i'm asking you this is i believe no one really ever has compiled them all in one post and most of the posts in here have scaterrings of info but never the full thing. There's also the source code to consider wich did have a few leftovers so that could warrant some sort of updated look i suppose. This is ultimately a bit similar to the way you do the singleplayer dlc posts. Most of this is heavily inspired by the darkviperau vid i came across today and i felt like it missed alot of details while mainly getting the main things right with a bit of creative liberty. I'm also well aware you're not a magician and that we may never truly know how the real thing truly played out but it's probably better than nothing.

Maybe in the future, IIRC the source code leak doesn't have a lot though, just like two or three mentions

I'm a bit surprised there wasn't much, i figured mission code would be there to some extent, maybe some things were purposefully moved to other folders that were not shared, but that is just speculation on my end.

Pre Heist cutscene audio with Michael and Trevor is awesome
Hope i dont get in trouble posting this not knowing how accurate whole video is but i think its worth giving it a shot

It's a pretty impressive video but it's not entirely faithful in my opinion, the big problem I have with the video is the title because it says "restored" which is factually wrong, it's a recreation

He says that Michael's dialogue was changed in Caida Libre after Sharmoota got cut, but that's not true because Caida Libre didn't originally exist as it was a mission named Vinewood Babylon for Solomon Richards, obviously same gameplay but different context, Caida Libre got created after Sharmoota got cut

He also didn't use or show the unused gay couple walking animations or the unused clown idle/walking animations either

He didn't mention anything about the name of the mission or that the horse was named Sharmoota

And correct me if I'm wrong but some details are entirely made up, like the part with Michael being on a horse at the end of Night Stealth, I don't remember there being anything like this mentioned anywhere, of course they stole the horse in some capacity but there's a lof of blanks in the plot

Looking at "missions.xml" they did steal the horse during Night Stealth. But it doesn't say who.

GkjOqaW.png

But yeah the video is missing a lot.

I wonder why this heist was cut, it was cool in terms of the relationship between the characters, Franklin, Trevor Michael and Lester
Also, planning would still take palce at lester factory right? It would be so cool to have that feeling being there after Jewelery Job, it would have a bit more meaning as place for characters

This may sound nonsensical, but it's always nice to see characters interact with each other and make some plot moves.

Maybe because of the implementation of the horse? But they could always change the name of the heist and make it so you don't steal the horse... and maybe that was in their mind, but then it would just be "another" heist with nothing special in it?

And how would it affect Martin, I bet he would immediately suspect Michael of being involved, especially the fact that Patricia would be unfortunate bonus loot

And one more thing, that Alberto name, i heard once it was "beta" name for Michael (maybe there are more proofs for that)  but wasnt just that a thing for this heist as cover? it make sense especially when you do scope out of place to rob... to not give real names right?

HeySlickThatsMe

Michael was named Albert De Silva in the casting call but that doesn't mean this was his in-game name, they renamed characters for the casting call to cover them up

The source code leaks has leftovers from around 2010 iirc where Michael is named Michael De Santos or Michael De Santo, can't exactly remember, this was also when Franklin was named Ariano Sanchez

Albert was his fake name during Sharmoota Job, nothing else, apparently Trevor was T-Rone but I don't know how that was found, Wildbrick mentioned it to me once

HeySlickThatsMe

I've slightly modified my post about Agent Trevor (Part 2), here's a recap of all the changes:

  • I found out that Korean_5 mission was named Korean_Tank, so this was second tank related mission and that's all we know about it, unfortunately.
  • I missed Russian_Cloak so it was added, although no information is known about this mission.
  • IAA Strand order was swapped because the one i listed was incorrect, the last three missions have been swapped, this also affects the mission details.
  • Miles strand order was swapped because the one i listed was incorrect, this also affects the mission details.
  • Russian_Car slightly changed because i got few details wrong.

I had way more written for this post and it was supposed to be a lazy part 3 of the Agent Trevor post detailing some of the last things i had left in my text file, but i accidentally went to main page and 90% of my text got removed, absolutely f*cking great as i was about to send a finished version which had nice formatting and everything, i can't be assed to write it all over again so see you later
