I think beta V Feltzer doesn't have any interior by looking at the picture from Trailer 1.

 

No rearview mirror and no headrest unless the resolution is so bad , it's hard to see it. Blame me for being blind! Ha..

Sorry if this car has been covered but i can't put my finger on it since it's too blurry. At first , i thought it's Panto but it looks too big for Panto and what it seems to be not-Jeep Grand Cherokee i would say. Or , it could be Baller but it's too boxy for being Baller.

 

Thoughts , anyone? Again , sorry if this car has been covered , 2lazy2goback.

The models don't appear anywhere in the game. Though i believe in real life there are bumper cars at the pier.

Vacca spawned was a traffic vehicle in the beta? and i don't remember the Baller spawning in that beige color (Probably wrong though).

Alright so this is going to be long and wordy but I got really interested in the unused interiors of this game recently so I decided to comb the interior file and write up a big thing about it so here it isss (I may be incorrect about a few of these and I will be presenting some theories)

 

To start with, here are interiors that are completely missing i.e. there is no .rpf at all for these:

-Interior 6 is missing

-Interior 12 is missing

-Interior 17 is missing

-Interior 18 is missing

-Interior 30 is missing

-Interior 42 is missing

-Interior 67 is missing

 

Present but otherwise unused/odd:

-Interior 4 is the so far unused Bahama Mama's

-Interior 14 is empty other than a temp gemoetry file which is just a square

-Interior 21 is the unused Split Sides comedy club

-Interior 25 is the locked and basically unused flight control tower at Fort Zancudo

-Interior 39, while containing the used gas station meth lab place, also has collision for an unused 'methtrailer' which is a very small trailer, no idea what it could of been for.

-Interior 43 is an odd one in that I'm not actually sure if it is unsued. It contains a very small ammount of files, but a full collision named 'v_carmod2'. The only drawable objects in the .rpf is a placeholder square called 'dummybox', a chair, and a safe (the safe's textures are also the only texture in this dictionary.) I've examined the collision, but I don't believe I have never seen it in game. It looks to be a place to mod your car, but theres also a second floor with some couches facing a wall, looking sorta like a place to plan a heist as the bit of wall juts out and is large enough for it, or maybe there would of been a tv there? Very strange interior. 'v_carmod3' IS used and is the small Customs shop that is outside of Los Santos. ALSO there is no 'carmod1' in the files from what I can tell.

-Interior 47 are the two unsued Sheriff offices

-Interior 48 has files for a motel room, and I think this has been discussed. I've never seen it in game but I heard that you could spawn there in Online if you dont own an apartment? It IS called v_motel_mp.

-Interior 58, Soloman's office, contains collision for a trails stadium, which I believe is well known, but why is it clumped with Soloman's office? Was he related in some way?

-Interior 64 Is Tequi-La-La which, besides the one strangers and freaks, is basically unused. It has a pool table and a darts board which implies that at one point it was to be vistited freely.

-Interior 70 is a very interesting one. It's basically empty besides the collision (which gives lots away) of a 'bikerbar'. It isn't very large. My theory on it is that when Online was focused on the factions sort of thing (and the Lost was one of them I believe), this interior was the home place for you if you joined that faction, and the Sheriff office and large, under used LS police station where the base for the Police. This would mean that the hub for the other gang (I cannot remember wich one that was) was either never made or was entirely removed.

-Interior 71 contains the prison guard towers which are used, but also has an iterior just called 'lockup' which I looked around online and couldnt find, but it's probably in the game. It's a little garage.

-And, of course, Interior 75 which only contains a collision for a small room named 'int_dlc_surgery', probably some scrapped thing for Online.

 

 

Other:

There were to be at least two other strip clubs with interiors. The collision for the Vanilla Unicorn is named 'v_strip3'. I believe that mini-maps for some other strip clubs where also found. Also, I recall hearing a ped mention Honkers as if he had been there. Was one of the two cut one possible a Honkers?

 

The interior of the jewelry store is named 'jewel2' in the games files. Was there possibly another jewelry store that we could enter somewhere in Los Santos?

 

It's also common knowledge that the casino once had an interior at some point. Little hints like the unused Online dialog about it and some props having the word casino in their name, along with the fact that the casino has unused functioning doors and an unseen facade in the glass also point to this.

 

Madrazo's Mistresses house likely had an actual interior at one point.

 

I also recall reading that someone had found a building in the game that was marked as a fight club or something like that?

 

There's a file containing lots of fastfood restaurant props including new ones that aren't ported from GTA IV (the ones that are ported have differences from GTA IV) and there are two unused map icons for Burger Shot and Clucking Bell, so we can safely assume that two of the missing interiors were probably these places.

 

There's also a map icon for Bowling activity that has been found, and I did find a bowling ball and bowling pin prop so one of the missing interiors was probably a bowling alley (wonder where that was in game?)

 

Other icons found include a internet cafe, a generic 'restaurant', a caberet club(IV leftover?).

No, there are no left overs for the interiors themselves besides an .rpf with fast food props. I assume the interiors once were one of the completely missing .rpfs possibly interiors 17 and 18 since those two are back to back and that's assuming both interiors didn't inhabit the same .rpf. If they were in the same .rpf it could be any one, there's no way to know unless last gen's interior files have more left overs because I haven't checked it, eheh.

Went to look at the LG interiors to compare. Found something interesting.

 

The comedy club was either added in a later patch or was supposed to appear on NG and was not cut beta content. v_int_21 (comedy club) has everything on PC but nothing on PS3 (1.00).

NG also has a v_int_75 that PS3 doesn't. This is the cut surgery room possibly for GTA Online.

 

The v_int_14 placeholder is on NG but not on PS3.

 

v_int_43 is a thing on NG but not on PS3. Looks like some kind of cut car modshop, as mentioned before. It also includes a placeholder cube.

I feel like the surgery room was the original concept for editing your character upon transferring to next gen and being prompted to change their appearance. May have been a cut idea early on.

I have the last-gen version of GTA V (X360) with the newest patch, and there's no any functional comedy club.

 

 


 

I think, the Feltzer was supposed to have black exhaust tips and white brake calipers.

Just like the Feltzer, the Tailgater had white brake calipers. Also notice a bit different grille (less chrome) and darker rearlights textures.

Beta graphics menu, and no Advanced Graphics. Some settings did not have Very High or Ultra presets at all. I attempted to turn on the DX9 option, but it didn't appear in game, nor did the Shadows Off option.

It's been a while since a saw this post, then it came to my mind again so I could investigate these leftovers myself. It turns out that there are more leftovers that you left out.

 

Firstly, I dug into the pausemenu.xml file (both in common.rpf and update.rpf) and enabled any commented-out GFX-settings, turns up that I ended up with a setting just under Refresh Rate called 'Output Adapter'.

- With my experience in computer terminology, I believe this setting is for the final output signal from one allocated GPU, in a multi-GPU configuration

 

I don't you what you could've possibly done wrong to enable the 'Shadows Off' option, but I ended up with a similar option called 'Night Lights' - similar to the 'Night Shadows' preset in GTA 4 PC. The preset goes from 'Off' to 'Very High', and interestingly you can't apply any changes you make to this preset without changing another setting to apply both changes for you.

I investigated further into this setting to see if this setting really changed the lighting during night-time, but it seems that it does nothing as of now. As stated previously, many of these settings were placeholders/cut settings and weren't programmed/finished.

 

 

- Also on the 'DirectX 9' setting AKA (last-gen mode), this one made me think for a bit, and I believe GTA 5 wouldn't be able to run in DX9 because it is a Win64 application, compared to MP3/GTA 4 of how they're both Win32 applications. Also because GTA 5 uses .yft/.ytd/.ydd (Win64) extensions for the assets which are made for DX10-11, whereas MP3/GTA 4 both use .wft/.wdd/.wtd extensions which are made for Win32/DirextX 9. The DX9 left-over was probably for the early alpha PC version that was being developed in parallel with the last-gen versions and then would eventually get scrapped due to the PS4/Xbox One having newer APIs.

 

And if anyone wants these edited .xml files then I'll happily upload them.

I'll also update this post if I manage to crank out any more findings, I'll still mess around with the .xml files to see if enabling DirectX 9 is in any way possible, but I doubt it'll work.

V was initially a Win32 application, until they made it x64 somewhere in 2013. (source: build logs)

 

I had unlocked the Shadows Off option like all the others, it just didn't appear, probably a leftover from IV and the exe code didn't really exist anymore.

The fact these are clearly pre-renders also may make it seem the cars had different features, i.e. more chrome/other colors/etc.
