-A lot of the vehicles use the "poltax" (known as vehicle_generic_interior in GTA IV) interior

-There's a rusty RAF lookalike van that uses a dirty Bobcat interior texture as well as the Bobcat interior model (oddly enough "Packer" is the basename)

A lot of MP3 have dummies for lights, doors and also car suspension (even ingame you can lower the car suspension by shooting it, just like in IV/V). I'm still trying to figure out why those cars have "drive-able" assets, even if they aren't driveable in Max Payne 3...

Yep, it could be based off an old Japanese van as well. Maybe a 2nd gen Hiace with a different grill + lights.

Realism. If you shoot a car, you should expect to take damage. If the car blows up, you should expect parts to fall off or see a charred wreck. Also NPC's drive cars many tmes during the story, they also open the doors, etc.

 

Many linear no-driving-allowed games overlook that sort of detail - in some you can't even blow up a car. It's literally a static prop welded to the ground.

Also another interesting thing to note about Max Payne/GTA V: one of the magazines that got a look at the game under development said that the damage system still wasn't finished, and cars blew up after ~10 shots, which is exactly how it was in MP3.

Also, one of the single player Filhos de Ogum NPC models was the hobo model from GTA V, only with a balaclava.

Driving and physics in MP3 looks like slightly changed GTA IV.

The factory. It's still used in The Paleto Score. Those audio files are for online BTW.

 

Also, yan22 said he found audio files from the police scanners that mention "Majestic County" and "Ventura County" he comes to this thread and could fill us in on this. I'll post the tweet when I'm on my PC. This could be from beta or hopefully (x100) for a map addition.
