stop ramming in standard races

I ram people in standard race because they have better vehicles than me :( and i want to get ahead a little because i know they will catchup :sneaky:

I'm in the same boat, I like to drive my Bullet despite the fact I could choose a non modded adder or entity and have a better chance at winning :p

Just like people who use glitches, racers who need to ram to win just flat out suck at video games, and it's the only way they will ever win. I just don't let them touch me, always host and make sure catch-up is off. If you get really good, you can take the lead and keep it. They are never gonna go away, and there's no game mechanic to prevent them.

I'd just turn around and ram you head-on then

LOL I love races where people ram into each other.

You just have to learn how to be more aggressive when racing or counter a rammer. A skilled racer can adapt to their environment.

Too bad. I'm still gonna rub/ram if I think it's going to give me an advantage.

That doesn't mean I'm gonna ram people every single chance I get, but sometimes if it looks like it's not gonna make me crash/lose speed AND take out possibly a few contestants out of the race then hell yeah I'm gonna ram you so hard baby you don't even know it !

LOL not sure if you should listen to this guy.. You can tell right of the bat that he's not reasonable. He's comparing a glitcher to a person who crashes? So to him, a rammer and cheater are the same. ha I can see everytime jbarb doesn't like someone, he calls them a cheater..

It'd probably be better if he compared the rammer to a tank user but he aint to bright to come up with that comparison.

Like I said, a skilled racer can adapt to their environment. Everyone can ram each other, it's not a cheat

I have found that the more races iv'e done, the better i have got at

1) Being the Rammed, and how to control my car quickly. Pulling out of spins and just straightening up and not spinning out of control

2) Being the Rammer, and how much fun it can be taking out some-one right near the finish line so they come in 4th instead of 1st.. Cracks me up everytime..

And was said earlier, it helps to learn to be an agressive driver..

If it really jars your head to much, i'm sure there are dedicated more serious online racing games to play..

As others have said there is no solution. If you race with randoms then you have to expect to lose some paint. HOWEVER!!! It is very avoidable. Simply hang back at the start of the race and wait till the early carnage takes place and concentrate on just cruising the race. You'll soon pass all the crash victims and mostly will just be left with the rammers to deal with who 9/10 times wont be very good at racing anyway and are easily passable. In fact they will likely be expecting you to ram them and if you drive close to the back of them will slow down and you can just pass with ease. You likely wont be caught again unless you make a mistake.

I've finished the majority of my races very far in front because i know what to expect and i race on tracks i know very well and rarely make a mistake on. 61-16 record + 3 WR's ( last time i checked ) and i race clean :) Add me if you are on Xbox and are looking for a good challenge against a clean racer.

Also what do they really expect you to do when you're using your car that you actually saved for while they use a fully modded chradder paid for with glitched funds?

Be the host and do custom cars off races. People will still join them, and while they are uncommon you still see them about when you queue up.

Personally I don't mind them, they can be quite the challenge sometimes actually, even if you end up faceplanting and the win goes to a single digit player. It's just a game, and if I'm having fun even when I loose, then who cares?

Anyway, just to say the options are still there.

I do when I can, I usually only play races when I'm waiting for friends so I end up using quick job which sucks ass because apparently the majority of players only know how to race on no-brainer circle races or highway races with traffic turned off :sui:

There is no solution. Not a workable one anyway. Either see it as a challenge, ram them back or only race with like-minded people.

Ghosting. Other racing games do it. Should be an option in the lobby.

Not really a solution for me. Although obviously plenty do like to play that way. I don't see the point. You might as well race alone and just compare times on a leader board.

I'd be fine with that if we earned the same amount of cash and RP.

I have yet to encounter a single person in a race who has rammed on purpose. Guess I'm just lucky.

I find for racing in this game It's often best to be cautious during races and give the space to other players in the lobby so they can pick their accidents while you take advantage of those opportunities to overtake people and as a result can often gain quite a few positions just on the first turn and once you get ahead you only have to worry about maintaining the optimum line to pull away from the pack. If you want clean racing then you pick up Gran Turismo 6 but for w/e reason if you're like myself where there are some things about GTA: O that you enjoy than there is nothing you can do about the poor sportsmanship in the lobby.

WTF is wrong with people?

No killing in free roam

No ramming in races

This game is made for these things guys... come on, don't be such pussies for f*cks sake!

What's next? No tank sniping because it's "lame"?

People should stop complaining. That person did what it took to win and he didn't get penalised for it, it's not cheating and it's not unfair. Sure, I get pissed off at them sometimes but then I look at the scoreboard and I see where they are, the top. People play to win, not to prance around like a fairy.

I'm a good racer, just don't get in my driving line as you will get rammed or span out from you trying to be a defensive racer

More contact you make with other cars = Less Cash/RP you get.

That could be a solution, but I'm not sure if it's possible for them to make the game determine who initiated the contact. :/

You know there are people who keeps inviting the same race over and over again? If they rammed me for twice just because I'm in front of them, I make sure I'll ruin their game and make them lose.

What I don't get is these people that like to ram..when they're way in the back of the pack.
Instead of trying to catch up and win, they ram cars and waste time and don't even end up winning because of it.

If I can't win, I will piss off at least one more person.

I f*cking hate the losers who will not slow down into a sharp turn (double/triple arrow) and instead bank on the fact that I'm turning, so they T-bone me, sending me half-way down the wrong street, usually into a tree, wherein, even though they didn't bother to slow down or try to turn, hitting me turns their car the correct direction.

Seriously....f*ck those people. Learn to f*cking turn you f*cking urethras.

And this....it's NOT YOUR racing line. It's a racing line. If I get in front of you, I deserve to drive where I want just as much as you do. If you're so sh*tty that you can't get around me without ramming, then you are NOT A GOOD RACER. f*ck off with that attitude.

join car meets, raspyhobo hosts them from time to time, there seems to be honest racers in car meets so far.

Theres also a good contingent of clean racers on here, aside from Crew affiliations, who will race clean you just need to get in touch with them

Lag is a bitch n takes a descernin eye to know the diff between lag contact and intentional

But in random lobbies its kinda par for the turf, everyone plays different so its a choice of find peeps w a similar perspective, or prepare yourself for all kind of shenanigens

That why I avoid random road races all together. I tried a few of the new ones, same old demolition derby bs. I stick to sea, air or offroad races, usually allot cleaner racing.
