They have started to put them in a cheater pool but there are still some around, plus i think there is a way out of the pool... so R* should probably fix that -.-

Right now at least, but we have no idea what content R* might be adding which could be level dependent designed specifically for 120+. It would be a little silly to have the levels keep going up if they're never going to be used for anything, even if only for R* to add new contacts (or just new missions for existing contacts) there's almost bound to be something that those levels will be useful for.

That's what I used to do, but I got sick of getting freezes every 2 or 3 times I send a report. No thanks, feels like getting punished for reporting DNS kids.

 

Plus wtf is that 10-15 minute CD on reporting? So if I saw more than 1 iso modders ruining a session together or griefing me specifically, then I need to endure another 10-15 minutes to report them at least? WTF is that sh*t??!?

People who were never gifted didn't get reset. I was gifted and got reset to 550k which i was ok with because i bought a lot of stuff including the adders which put me back to about what i had before any gifts. But i will not be ok with losing levels that took hundreds and hundreds of hours to obtain. I have almost 40 days worth of play time on my character. Like others have said it seems that R* have focused more on the money aspect rather than the level aspect. It doesn't really matter what level you are though so I'm not that bothered.

That's not true. Not everyone got their cash reset. People who were never gifted didn't get reset. I was gifted and got reset to 550k which i was ok with because i bought a lot of stuff including the adders which put me back to about what i had before any gifts. In that case i wonder why one of my alt accounts character went from 500K from R* gifted a while back, was reset to 50K after cash reset... only R* ever gifted cash to that account.

Except that would only apply if you had your rank boosted by accident, then and only then would it be like the cash wipe, where legitimate money was taken as well as illegitimate for everyone who received money against their will. Just like R* left everyone who was legit (like me) completely alone during the cash wipe, I'm sure they'll leave them alone again if/when they do an RP reset. Only if you accidentally got boosted by a modded race or something would you have any need to fear losing progress of an otherwise legit character, at least if R* stays true to form.

If your primary account was gifted money, maybe they knew those accounts were both yours and took the money for that reason? That's the best guess I've got but this is the first time I'm hearing someone say they lost money from a character who was 100% legit. You sure that character had no marks against it (was 100% legit)?

I don't really mind the rank either, although I probably would a lot more if I wasn't already past 120.

 

Why I report them is because these are the same people who were using godmode and also helped f*ck the "economy" by making everyone billionaires.

 

The smart ones only boosted their level to around 150, the idiots are those that went much further past that..into the lvl500+ realm. I am almost certain these guys used the other available "hacks" that came with it while they still could. Yes, I can hold a grudge lol.

High rank is pretty unnecessary anyway, it's only good for getting the guns and car mods, it doesn't make you a better player, I went on a 12 killstreak a couple of days ago in a regular deathmatch, I was Rank 29, they were all above 100. All I used was my AK. Finished with 19 kills, 4 deaths. I went on to win, (time run out) the person who finished second was around rank 150. He had 8 kills, 12 deaths.

 

It's shocking how bad some players are, despite the high rank.

I can't believe I have to keep saying this, but a rank reset isn't going to happen. It's not as if having rank 120–1000 makes that much difference; yes you will have unlocked all the weapons but beyond 120 there's no difference.

 

To reset people's ranks is fanbase suicide. People who are legitimately ranking up wouldn't want to play the game again for the sake of the effort they've focused already.

 

As well as that, it's not as if they're exclusively focusing on the money for their own gain; I'm pretty sure there will be more anti-cheat measures to come but at the moment it seems Rockstar has no tolerance to those c*nts whatsoever.

Just so people know, a level 400 isn't necessarily a cheater. Someone playing the game 6-8 per day on average could easily be around level 500-600 by now. I'm level 122 and only play an average of about an hour a day.

As I keep saying to people who keep saying this, it all depends on whether or not R* adds more level-dependent content (like contacts, missions etc) specifically for 120+ ranks. Even if they do add such content there's no guarantee they'd think it important to derank the cheaters anyway, but if they decide it's worth doing for whatever reason I certainly believe they'll do it.
