Not that I know of but there is a link to the newswire article in the first post of this thread. I'm sure all the info is there. Bloatedsack's Rebel pic looks great!

I can appreciate and enjoy the photography aspect of this game. That doesn't mean I'm trying to be a virtual photographer. I don't understand the purpose of your post...

Just observing now many amateur arm chair photographers exist in here. I'm a professional photographer.

 

Depends what you mean, In the photo threads I visit it's just people sharing their pictures, no one really chats about how great a photographer they are etc.... If they did it would be as bad as a "club" (the ones that take pictures of people posing for the shot for some sh*tty site you can buy the pics, as opposed photographer booked for by the promoter to capture the magic in the form of images) calling themselves professional lol.

 

For me personally, I run a record label and produce music (as well as being a parent and having a part time job) so don't have the time to nancy around Shorditch with a camera calling myself a "freelance professional", so the fact the opportunity has been mildly wafted under my nose to indulge in this nancying about virtually from my chair (at no cost may I add), is nothing but a good thing non?

Social club seems to be down for me now so I can't vote for any right now. Yeah Ascendant, your first shot is hard to top but that is still a good effort. I was going to go back and redo a few of mine but I'm not really worried about it. Can't force good stuff. It's gotta come naturally for me. It is what it is I suppose.

Also, to just answer to those who may have concern about how many vehicle entries they can enter:

 

"There is no limit on entries, however, all entries must be comprised of an original in-game image captured by the person who uploaded the image. Entrants may not submit images captured by another person and multiple entries by the same person may not substantially re-use the same image. All entries must consist of unmodified game play footage of Grand Theft Auto V created using the Grand Theft Auto V in-game camera feature that shipped with the game."

 

Photos have to be taken on January 24th to January 31st to be considered valid entries:

 

"The Contest Period starts at 12:01 AM ET on January 24, 2014, and ends 11:59:59 PM ET on January 31, 2014. Eligible images may be uploaded to the Social Club during the Contest Period."

I would try to enter It regardless and see what comes out of It. All my pictures entered are way before the accepted contest date, but I could care less about the date's It has to be taken between. All the pictures entered on the SC that have tons of likes and are popular were taken way way way before this contest was even announced, they could care less also.

I also looked at your photos and liked a couple but didn't particularly like your recent car ones. There are some really high quality photos on SC and they are only picking 5 so… got to take something really special.

I made this topic so everybody can showcase their pictures for the contest and see some other pics they may not see otherwise. I don't care about votes in the grand scheme of things but a little common courtesy goes a long way. Like I said, I took a little time and voted for anybodies that I liked. I don't think it is too much to ask for that in return. And I'm not asking for people to vote on anything they don't like, I just have a feeling most people are greedy and selfishly not voting for others pics. I'm just glad I have a good crew because generally, and I stress generally, this community is kind of a nightmare to deal with.

So many pictures in the contest are like this one. No composition, no framing, no cares. Oh...here's a car, give me free stuff. A lot of them are just taken outside of LSC like they just repaired their car and needed to take a picture because they can't drive it elsewhere without wrecking it.

I understand what you're saying and I agree. I took the picture when I just got the car and happened to pass by that wall, didn't really give too much thought to composition.

 

It was pure coincidence that the LS Car Show Contest started on the same day, so I entered this picture. Apparently people still like this picture enough to give it over 300 thumbs up though. So I'd be a fool to mess all of that up now just to take another picture with better framing.

 

There's no way it will get as much attention as this picture has had. Besides, Rockstar have mentioned a number of criteria of which composition is just one. So I'll take my chances, thank you :D
