MachineGhost
This is actually my second run of single-player, so definitely don't want to start again. I got to the final heist, did the subtle mission for $30m per player, I did a manual save before going on to the final mission because I wanted to try all three endings, then I chose Trevor - watched the final scene, all good and well. But now when I try to go back to after the heist, or even before the heist, and the games just don't load - they sit on the loading screen forever and don't do anything. Tres frustrating. I was kind of curious, because I know that R* have said that the DLC will be a continuation of the current characters respective stories, is this perhaps a feature rather than a bug - like something to do with what you choose at the end of the game effecting future DLC, so it kind of locks in your choice? Or has the game just bugged out on me and I'll never get to see what happens when I choose Michael? RyanBurnsRed
Did you delete the patches and reinstall them? If you don't keep your game up to date like some users do, then just delete the patches and run version 1.00 (unpatched) and see if it works. My cousins had the same problem on their Xbox. I deleted the patches and it worked on the unpatched version. I think on PS3 it's called game data. I haven't turned my PS3 on in a very long time so I don't remember the exact names, but I hope you catch my drift. Anyway good luck!

MachineGhost
Thanks guys. So, to be sure I've got this straight: I find the game data, delete patches (all of them or just the latest?) then reboot - will the game then automatically reinstall the patches for me? MachineGhost
I think on PS3 it's called game data. Game Utility Data - thanks, have deleted, reinstalling now - hopefully it works. Really appreciate you guys taking the time to answer!
MachineGhost
Patch reinstall didn't work. This looks suspiciously like the same problem I'm having though http://support.rockstargames.com/hc/communities/public/questions/200682717-GTA-V-won-t-manually-load-save-files-if-PS3-connected-to-internet
MachineGhost
OK, so this might be a stupid question but how exactly do you disconnect PSN in-game? I press start and go to the PSN menu but there's no option to disconnect.
RyanBurnsRed
Okay so reinstalling the patches didn't work. So just disconnect your PS3 from the internet altogether. You can do that by going to the network settings and forgetting the wifi network (if it's connected to wifi). Or just don't sign into PSN. You have to do it before you start the game. Now delete all of the game data again, and start up the game. If it works then it could be a corrupted file in the patch. Do you have more than one save? I remember on my cousin's Xbox, there were multiple save files for his GTA. If you can delete the latest save you made, then do it as a last resort. But before you do that, try loading an older save (maybe the last autosave) and see if that works. Edit: Okay, after reading around it seems a lot of people are having this problem. And since it works when offline means that it is a Social Club issue, not your save or your internet. The problem is on Rockstar's end, so you just have to sit and wait until they straighten it out.
