I just deleted my main character.

I had a second, male character to keep my main character company when I wasn't playing, but I didn't use him for anything, ever, so I decided I would just get rid of him.

 

But my main character jumped in the way and took the bullet for her lover, sacrificing herself to the great abyss.

 

I had her since I bought the game in October, she was only level 55, but with a 10 car garage full of expensive vehicles totalling about 2.5 million dollars.

 

She was beautiful, she had style, she had moxy! She will not be forgotten.

I had a panic attack cause I thought my brother deleted my main character the other day. They should really add a feature that lets you lock a character from being deleted.

Is there even some confirmation before deleting? I heard people were accidentally pressed the wrong button and immediately deleted last time and until now this is still the same?

Of course there is a confirmation option. You press delete button, you get a new dialog box who ask for confirmation. I have deleted few characters on second account when I did some testing.

If you delete him you lose everything that is connected to him except the money in the bank account.

Indeed, there is.

 

I go into Story Mode to go into Online mode, because it appears to be faster than hitting A and going to Online at the start. I selected Choose Character on accident, and while in the Choose screen, I decided I'd just get rid of the alt character while I was there.

 

I was pretty sure I selected him, or these analogs are going bad again. The confirmation screen completely blacks out/covers the Character screen, so I couldn't see who I had selected, and it doesn't display the names.

 

But I resurrected her, Mui lives! And I lucked out and a Granger spawned next to me. I spent days trying to find one before. Thankfully my bank money was still there... All 60k of it.

 

 

Moral of the story? Pay the f*ck attention to what you're doing, or you'll sit through 900 f*cking hours of slow, drawn-out introductory bullsh*t. And that nonsense when you die the first time? What the hell is that? Damnit, Rockstar.
