Link between Simeon and Armored Trucks?

So my friend and I have been trying to recreate conditions that spawned multiple armored trucks like we and many others have seen. Since end of Nov, the most we could get chained was 3, not very lucrative compared to 2hrs of continuous spawning before. I read there was a link to completing Simeon's demands to make them start, so when the dry spell first hit, I convinced my friend to complete them when he'd normally just ignore him.

 

So last night we both put Simeon on ignore, my friend found one of the cars on Simeon's list, and sold it to LSC. Boom, armored truck spawns 3x before "Simeon wants a specific vehicle" comes up. I got pissed, said "f*ck you Simeon", sped over to it in my Vacca and grenaded it. Boom, armored trucks spawn 16x, before Simeon wants another vehicle. We hit trucks for over an hour, intermittently interrupted by Simeon who we denied with extreme prejudice.

 

If anyone else wants to try this out and see if this works, post results here, could just be an odd coincidence.

Basically what you are saying is: by ignoring Simeon, the number of times armored trucks spawn before Simeon contacts you again, increases?

 

In that case, that's a nice find. Simeon's deliveries are tedious

We should try destroying priority vehicles separately, from ignoring the calls to see which is more effective

i think crate drops might screw up the spawning too, it seems like there's only 1 priority in free roam at a time to increase the likelihood of player vs player fighting over said priority.

Possibly, seemed to be the case last night. Instantly after blowing up the HPV, trucks would spawn. Again, could be a coincidence, but selling the car on the list was what kicked it off (my friend used to do it all the time, unaware of the connection).

I noticed how every time I chased an armored truck and looked at the phone clock the time was about 7-9 a.m.... maybe it's similar to the story mode?

I hunted a couple of these last night, I didn't realise how much RP they gave, which is pleasantly surprising, they kept spawning right next to me, the cash payout is nice too.

I'm going to try invite only session and see if there's a non-stop spawn of them again. I used to get them all the time when I was playing with my other character, thing is, I pretty much done everything with her now, so I didn't feel the need to chase them down. If only I knew....

I spent all yesterday in various invite only lobbies between missions and only saw 3. Simeon car lists seem to have become less frequent of late. It's probably just down to pure chance when things turn up.

It's odd that after 2 months of delivering the cars to him that doing the opposite would start it again. And as soon as my friend left the session, I got 1 more and then they stopped. Time of day didn't seem to be a factor, they spawned through 2 full game days without stopping.

if youve got 2 people in the session, one of you rob the truck (sticky to the back), the other destroy it (sticky to the front)... has been known to cause the continued spawning

I agree Simeon has something to do with armored truck spawns. My theory is that the game doesn't like to have 2 "targets" in the same lobby at the same time. So if there is a HPV for Simeon on the map, it likely won't also spawn an armored truck. Which is why I think some people have success at getting armored trucks to spawn by "removing" (lol) Simeon's car. It allows the lobby to spawn in a different objective, usually an armored truck.

 

I also think crate drops fall into the same category but they seem broken at the moment. I haven't seen one in weeks so it's hard to test anything out.

Simeon is bald and the armoured trucks also don't have any hair

We were getting as high as 28-32k per truck, my friend got. 4 bagger with 8123 in each bag.

Things that cause the armoured car glitch.

1.No notification of armored car and there is a armored car on the map.

2. Happens a lot more in a invite only with 2-4 people max.

3. Completing the HPV or getting rid of it will cause the cycle between events to reset.

4. Sandy shores area will spawn it more than anywhere else.

Same. I usually see them once per time I actually log into GTA:O per day. It doesn't seem to help for me though.

 

I haven't had a session where I've had multiple spawns of the truck since I don't know when, 1.0.7?

Only 2 were in Sandy Shores, the rest were all in downtown, majority of them around Weasel Plaza. Don't remember if there was a notification that the truck was there.

I found that the green "High Value Car" would block the constant respawning. Constantly spawned the instant we blew it up.

I'm in an invite only by myself and have just delivered a HPV to the docks. No sign of an armoured truck yet.

Noticed this today! The 2 times I took HPV to Simeon the armored truck appeared straight after (on the 2 occasions).

I'm impatient, ROI for delivering that car isn't worth the time, I blow that f*cker up and cut to the chase.
