[WIP|III] GTA 3 LIBERTY CITY 2

I think that retexturing the existing VC cars with GTA3 textures could give a cool look. Especially with the license plates, to change them to LC ones ;)

To which img file do I have to add the files, GTA3 or oldveh_atc.img?

 

And there are files in the 'new' folder. Do I have to add them or the folder?

 

I little explanation would be helpful as to in what order I have to add them.

I have a suggestion for two civilian Cartel Cruisers:

1. Public Cruiser - the fancy parts are removed from the Cartel Cruiser, of course uses new carcols. Uses Patriot handling.

2. Sadler/Yosemite - the fancy parts are still there, it's simply a recolored normal one. Uses normal Cartel Cruiser handling.

Two ideas because making more cars is (somewhat) better in my opinion :)

That explains why my game crashed when I added the files to the gta3.img. PC version doesn't have a gta3_atc.img, right?

I know there isn't gta3_atc.img file in pc version. I don't know why, but the files are denied.

When I try to install my mod on pc my game is crashes too. :( You can install this mod only on android with android version of IMG TOOL.

Someone must know a workaround. The files could go elsewhere and replace the original textures.

There is only 10 extra ID for vehicles and 4 of them doesn't work. Adding another variant of a vehicle doesn't seem to be a good idea

I know, but if the cars would be replacements or would go with VC MVL, then it would be a good idea. Heh, that brings up my ideas for a MVL pack which would include beta III vehicles, Manhunt vehicles and many more. Thinking of it, somebody should really try making a GTA3 VL...

Maybe, but maybe not all are fully usable. Some might be like the ones without wheels or have Dodo physics.

Been doing some researches on PC... 168 and 168 are not really usable, game crashes as soon as the car appears. Uh, there must be a workaround for that, like that Vehicle Audio Editor which was made for SA... Maybe moving the wheels to different ID's and using the existing wheel id's for new cars would do the job? I'm not really sure about it though, but it worked in VC at least.

Hmm... It is not hack. I change ind_land101's ID (200) to 3191 ID == 200 ID number is liberated. I use 200 liberated ID for oceanic.

It's not replacing and cars don't have a specific range of IDs. It's all about defined audios table,which is indeed bound only to existing IDs (+ these 10 more IDs mods use). Beyond that range, you don't know what memory part the game will treat as a vehicle audio settings. That can lead to some weird sounds playing or even a game crash. But the car itself will work.
