I played the game for the story mode. after that, its pointless to continue playing imo.

Well, might be because youre young and/or still have fun with this kind of games.

 

For me, imho its time waste to play this game after the story, nothing exciting to do in my opinion. It just gets boring when you have nothing to do.

Sure, when i was young and GTA 3 and VC were the top games i played them for such a long time after i finished to story just to mess around, and in those two there was even less to do, yet i had so much fun in them.

Sure I might be a "kid" but I'm a kid old enough to legally buy and enjoy this game...I'm not trying to argue, I'm expressing how I feel about the game. Instead, YOU are trying to give a counter argument that I am pretty much a stubborn skillless crybaby because I don't like earning billions of pointless dollars, going on pointless runins with the lspd, and customizing cars that I don't want. That is not something that I find entertaining. I don't want to go back to any previous games because I like V a hell of a lot more than them. I didn't even look at one Trailer or Screenshot of this game. I just knew from past decade: "Oh, another GTA game is coming out? Neat, I will buy it knowing it won't disappoint." And it hasn't. It has its "bugs" and "problems" but if you're mature enough, you can simply look past this and see the great aspects the game has to offer. And if you don't "like" anything that I named previously, GTA V is prob the worst game for you, time to put it down and stop playing it lol

I have appreciated this game since its release date when I got it. In the present I can still play and enjoy the SP mode for a couple of hours at a time. This is the game that I took a week's paid vacation for just to enjoy it, and I even played it for about 9 hours straight during that week, breaking day and such. The difference between then and now is that back then I was coming across things that literally made my jaw drop, even things as simple as seeing Franklin's personal vehicle for the first time. Every now and again I do come across little details that are such a delight, but simultaneously, I can't help but to think that R* dropped the ball on some aspects in the Single Player mode. For what its worth I still have not went through every inch of the map, as I have yet to get the corresponding trophy for doing so (PS3).

 

When I do play my game, GTA V is the only one I play. However, I purchased TLOU and Metal Gear Rising before GTA V, and I will be playing those for the first time. Going to play GTA V in a little while as well.

Sons is a shorten way of saying SonofLiberty like Miami was a shorten way to MiamiViceCity.

I don't want to get into this again. GTA V isn't better than The Last of Us if it was it would be winning more GOTY awards which I remember some members said GTA V would.

The whole package is about $20 now, right? Well worth it. It's very cool seeing the three stories intersect, and yes, it does clear up some muddied waters within the story.

 

The episodes also manage to cater to two completely different tastes, as well. I wasn't hugely interested in TLAD, in fact I intentionally rushed through it, but TBoGT had a polished story with plenty of activities that hugely extended the life of the game.

I believe it. But I just don't care enough, tbh. Worth it or not, I am getting to old for games to begin with and don't have as much time as when I was younger. I may look into these DLC's, but if not, it won't be that much of a loss to me because of like GTA IV for what it is as of now to begin with.

I may check it out, but for now and completely happy with GTA IV standard edition. I never fell into Online temptation of DLC temptation. I won't even bother with any new DLC stuff for V. I have up to Patch 1.08 installed and that's as far as I go. Sick of everytime a Patch is released, something gets f*cked up in Single Player and that is all I play. The bugged License Plates from Patch 1.07 was my last straw. Also the spawning of vehicles from 1.07. I got 1.08 as I heard it fixed the spawning of vehicles and it sure did, at least for my game. But I won't f*ck with any more patches from here on out or DLC. I can enjoy the game the way I have my save right now.

Ain't that the truth? Think about it, though. Rockstar announced back in December (this is something I read on IGN) that we will have SP DLC sometime this year. When that does happen, they'll focus the attention back to SP and likely fix some of the issues that have arisen since the launch of multiplayer.

 

Not to get off topic, but have you or anyone else here tried removing all patches and playing story mode? Does this impact performance at all?

TLAD and TBoGT define the way DLCs are seen today,regardless of the two episodic expansions sharing the same city as GTA 4 and also a little intertwine,they both have their own Storylines,new elements and features etc.TLAD felt like a Gritty,Outlaw Bikers' Version of San Andreas,when i first played that game i imagine it as a SoA game even though it a GTA game while TBoGT transformed Liberty City into a Vice City-esque Party DLC with the Clubs,Champagne Battle etc.

 

GTA 5 as the 2nd Main Game in the HD Era after GTA 4 is just a Masterpiece,GTAO is a mess since Launch Date but it aint worst and it would get better.

 

GTA 4 is also a Masterpiece and Revolutionised HD Openworld Games.

Honestly I think you need to calm down. Other GTA V fans seem to handle criticism against GTA V fairly well, but you on the other hand? All you do is swear and get pissed off then proceed to slam GTA IV even if no one is directly referring to it. Like Anzand17 in his original post.

 

IMO you can dish it out when it suits you, but can't handle it when it's thrown back. Whilst I think GTA V dropped the ball in ways overall it's still a fun game with admirable aspects that I still like to play. Get mad all you want to, but IV was better than V in some very important areas, interiors being one of the main ones. It's hard to accept that the predecessor still outperforms it's successor in certain ways.
