Buzzard in missions...Is it helpful or annoying?

I was just wondering what this community thought of people using the Buzzard attack helicopter in missions online.

I have a Buzzard myself and use it in certain missions because it is very helpful, especially on hard missions that are not underground or an objective that can't be destroyed too easily by an accidental rocket.

I was wondering what people think about the Buzzard when it's used in missions. Do you feel left out or that the Buzzard is cheap? Or are you thankful that someone has one?

I find it super helpful. It makes the missions so much shorter so I can move on to other things faster. I solo a lot of missions and did them faster by myself with the buzzard than in group.

They're good for harder missions, but for little ones they're just annoying

When I'm playing a difficult mission with low level folks I'll grab it as a backup weapon but won't use it unless I know they're totally f*cking failing the situation. Like, on the Los Santos Connection... I'll use it at the laptop regardless of what's going on because I've seen one too many f*ck-ups there.. but I'll ditch it when we go to the airport. Let the fun begin :) If we die or win at that point doesn't matter to me

I used it for the first time on Los Santos Connection last night. The host started the job in an awkward place, and my buzzard spawned at that FIB/police base in the middle of no where, so it took me longer to get there than it normally would have (if it spawned in the city or just about anywhere else!). I also blew up the host's personal vehiche at the laptop hacking step because he had parked it right where the enemies were spawning - I intended to share my take of the job as an apology but apparently you can only do that for bounties and robberies now... - he didn't send any angry messages though so I doubt he was bothered.

They ruin the fun and challenge of the mission.

While I mostly agree. On some harder missions I find them alright to be used.

Los Santos Customs is one of the missions I believe it is a very big help on.

I usually spawn it at the beginning, let the other players go to the drug deal, then fly it to the laptop area to eliminate all the enemies and provide cover for the hacker. Then, if you go to the airport, you can take out the supplier (and the enemy helicopter) before anyone even arrives at the airport. Again, after that you can provide cover fire, wait for someone to steal the coke, then fly to Martin's house and parachute down for an easy win.

I just don't want anyone to feel left out in missions. That's why I made this thread. Sometimes I feel like I am doing TOO MUCH work in the Buzzard...

Los Santos Connection can be soloed on hard. I have done it before. All it requires is patience, and use of the Ammunation to replenish body armor after you get done hacking the laptop at the depot.

I have only used the Buzzard once during a mission, because I simply just wanted to complete it really fast. My Buzzard is all rusty in Pegasus's storage :p

Snacks, armor, and patience.

Snacks, lol sounds so stupid

"Damn, that Egochaser bar certainly saved my ass when I cracked down on that drug deal."

I find it insanely useful.

Mixed up with coke? 3 minutes or faster. Trash Talk? Goes insanely fast. Extradition? Same thing. Base Invaders? So easy especially with two. Rooftop rumble? Convenient get away vehicle. Clearing the Cat House? Not a shot fired and done.

200 bucks for unlimited ammo. Cant go wrong.

They ruin the fun and challenge of the mission.

I find getting $18750 in a short amount of time to be fun. I enjoy finding ways to do missions in a hurry.

Sissy?

I could do the mission either way, but when it would make it easier (especially when I'm with people who don't really know what they are doing), I find it far easier to just get a Buzzard sometimes instead of restarting the mission over and over.....

That wasn't aimed at you personally :p

I like the mission to go on for a bit, not be over in 5 seconds... If you're grinding missions than sure, but if i'm doing a mission it's for enjoyment.

I use the Buzzard in missions like Mixed Up with Coke, Los Santos Connection, Trash Talk, High Priority Case & Judging the Jury. Best $1.7 million I've spent in the game.

Well, you kinda have to have some amount of skill to use a buzzard in this game too. Just saying....

You have to be careful to not destroy mission objectives and you have to be good at hovering in a safe location so you can eliminate enemies in cars and not be killed or get your allies killed in the process.

I usually get my buzzard and give it to low level players to use it since most struggle when I do hard missions with them. I just stay on ground and get kills solo, but using it constantly when you're a high level player makes you look cheap and ruins the challenge of the mission.

CorruptedVision

I like getting one for the cargobob missions to have backup already there without stars, for someone else to get the bob. Its alright for trash talk or judging the jury too because you can quickly dispatch of the objectives. Better than the tank for missions.

You definitely need the Buzzard for Judging the Jury when you are short on players.

Nothing beats having four players and two of them f*ck around the whole time. Kill one target and drive in circles while the timer is going. Good times... :sui:

I always call Pegasus after ambushing the first drig deal in The Los Santos Connection so I don't destroy the SUV that takes you to El Burro oil derricks :p

I always find them a great asset to have.

A few later missions can be done 5x faster.

I mean no one is really replaying missions because they enjoy them more for the cash and rp.

They're great as long as the person flying can fly well and the mission has targets that would make use of it, such as trucks and what not. Can be a hindrance depending on the mission as well, just gotta choose carefully.

ANNOYING. Whenever I play a mission with "soft" objectives, the Buzzard pilot spams missiles Danger Close. This always destroys the objectives: briefcases, vehicles, anything that can be wrecked by an explosion. I hate failing missions because that one person in a Buzzard can't control the temptation to unleash a missile barrage. ._.

Knowing the mission objectives is a definite plus before you spawn the attack heli. I completely agree. I unfriended someone who was waaaaay too aggro with Buzzard rockets. He screwed up almost every mission we went on because of it.
