If i point a gun at the store clerk and force him to empty the cash register machine without killin'em i 'll get 2 stars wanted level, but if i kill that dude and rob the register machine myself i'll gain 3 stars.

Moral of story, rob clean, and no more than 2 stores in a 45 minute session, and you'll be fine with only 2 stars. Also, point the gun at the clerk and back away to the door, it lessens the chance of them pulling a gun on you and shooting you in the back.

In a certain span, yessir, you are correct. When I was going for all the stores to get the award, I would rob consecutive stores, and would get 2/3/4 stars, respectively.

not for me, I rob every store and always get two stars, except maybe twice I got three stars. If I shot the cashier than I get 3 stars

I robbed all stores in Online but it gives you the same wanted level, depends if you kill the clerk or not. You will also gain an award and achievement with it.

Best answer. I start getting 3 stars for a clean robbery at the third store, I think.

 

And the big take-away, as you point out, is to back away to the door, ready to plug the clerk if he pulls a gun. Good crime simulator experience to apply to real life.

 

I hate it when a do-gooder NPC shoots me in the back from outside the store. I try to make sure they get an extra few bullets, for their noble attempt at street justice.

last night was the first time i robbed multiple stores

First = 2 stars

Second = 2 stars

Third = 3 stars

Fourth = 4 stars.

you get more than 2 stars even when your wanted level is gone, which is kinda dumb if you ask me. i robbed a store, got 4 stars and i was like "im done" lol

After he gives you the money if you fire a few shots behind him he will run away and you don't have to worry about him shooting you. You still get just the two stars as long as you don't kill em

It's only logical, if the same asshat is robbing stores all around toun without getting busted, then the police should get more aggressive, in GTA they do.

Yeah I like using a buzzard to get away. Once you get in your vehicle, just open your inventory while you're driving away and switch masks (or if in a vehicle you can only take it off) and you'll instantly lose a star but that only works if you're out of sight of the cops when you do it.

 

If you use the same mask over and over though the shop keepers will wise up, so switch it up.

I found a good way of dealing with those, also the do gooders that are somtimes already inside the store...

 

The ones outside, when you pull up to the store, before getting out, drive near all/any peds, beep your horn and wheel spin... they'll soon get the picture and move on.

 

Any inside, just walk into them... the same as before, they will soon get the picture and walk out.

 

No-one wants to be the "innocent bystander" do they now!

Those guys aren't a problem with masks, just kill them and the shopkeeper then remove the mask when you get out if no one is around and it'll go right down to 2 stars.
