Lazer Speed Glitch

I got this game on day one and used the jet alot without issue but now i keep getting this speed glitch with the jet and it has yet to go away. It will start gaining uncontrollable amounts of speed for no reason... even if the afterburners aren't running it will still get faster and faster. I could lower the engine to lowest it can get without shutting off and it will still gain speed. It always ends with the thing smashing into the ground due to the speed. Has anyone here ever experienced this and if you have is there a fix?

Just so you know shutting it down does not solves the issue. Landing will but only for a short period of time.

This a glitch?? OMG, how do you do this? I'm curious now... I always wanted to hit supersonic speed in that thing. Lmao

If i knew how this happens then i would tell you. I wouldn't recommend it though because it has to go away. Happen every time i use the jet for more than 5 minutes.

I flew past a friend who was using the afterburners like he was nothing... trust me, it's a curse, not a gift.

Ninja has posted here saying that if you fly full speed for 10 mins, it will "engage" a second speed but i'm not sure if this is what you're going through...

Maybe. Well if who ever that is knows how to stop this i would like to know. It's impossible to do ground runs when the thing is traveling faster than all holy hell.

Yeah they're not on, i haven't experienced either so i'm standing in the middle right now.

Did you reset your console? Could be like the cars how they don't change gears...

I've seen a similar glitch, flying alongside a friends Titan with him going full speed way above cloud level, I was in a lazer. One of his crew came flying past both of us 3/4x the speed in another Titan.

I asked how it was done but didn't get a reply off his friend

Genuine wtf moment, never seen it happen again

Just so you know shutting it down does not solves the issue. Landing will but only for a short period of time.

Its not a glitch, all planes gain their full speed after 10 minutes of flying. You can even just stay on the ground for 10 minutes and go.

After 10 minutes the speed boost will stop. Its exactly 10 minutes to 10 minutes.

So its been added for a reason... why? I sure as hell don't know. I do know that the Cargoplane 'the giant fat one from Trevors mission' has a high speed thats even faster.

In a Dogfight you can even outrun missiles from your enemies without doing evasive manoeuvres.

I've token a closer look at what really happens and why the speed gain is created, this is the result:

What happens really is that something with the gravity changes. Your plane will even gain speed when you gain altitude, make sharp corners ect.

Look at the vid and pay attention to how fast i gain speed around the 1 minute mark once i turn around and start to climb.

Oh and yes thats a badass looping with a Antonov 125 in the end of the vid, looks like a fat ass whale doing some tricks. LMAO.

It behaves as if you the gravity has shifted 180 degrees.

To prove the gravity changes, Just get a jet to get that boost. to to max altitude and fly over see, press start and wait untill it hits the boundary that makes your wings snap off and engines shut off.

After you are sure you've passed it 'you engines will still shut off but you will keep your wings' You will be flying around like a glider plane. Because those 10 minutes anti-gravity is still engaged.

Normally without engine power, the Jet falls out of the air like a brick. Not during the 10 minute boost thing going on. You can even fly Giant cargoplanes as seen in the vid and the 747 with just 1 wing during this glitch.

I also have a hunch about how and why the AI jet can hover and all that and turn like a chopper, its because its still stuck in the AI handling for the Hydra seen in the first trailers of GTA V. Seems they didn't feel like changing it before changing it to the Laser.

This is exactly how the AI jet flies:

You think its hard in a LAZER, try doing it in a Titan, Jet (747), or Cargo Plane. In the Cargo Plane I shot across San Andreas in about a minute. No joke.

It seems the bigger the mass of the plane, the higher the top speed is. Which also aims at a gravity change

where do you get that plane in your first video?

tldr of what you said is basically, fly for 10 mins and get a boost for 10 minutes?

is this perhaps why the lazer speed got ''nerfed'' ? its this glitch slowing it for the first 10 minutes of its life?

If you look closely, you can notice that the Lazer has some kind of exhaust above the left wing. The heat will just show up in the air. Perhaps this is still from the old AV-8B like exhausts on the Hydra model and they didn't modify some dummies on the model.

Hmmm... I know this is an old topic, but I should test this if it still works. Me and my friends back in like last year or something had got the super speed a few times on planes, but we thought that it's sometimes initiated by descending on your plane and then ascending back up. The logic behind this is that when you're descending, your plane gains speed and we thought that the glitch would lock this extra speed into all flying. A pre-set time for this doesn't seem to make sense, because I remember from experience that the time it took to happen wasn't always the same. However though it might be dependent on the plane or this has been patched since the last time we did it. It hasn't worked when I've tried it lately. But I could try this time theory.

Use a timer or a stopwatch, fly non stop for exactly 10 minutes and you will get the speed boost. 10 minutes. And it will also last 10 minutes. The giant cargoplane from SP has the fastest topspeed of all.

The bigger the plane, the faster. And this one is about 1.5 the size of the passenger plane. Its massive.

Its based on the Antonov 124

with b 52 bomber engines.

R* most likely saw this picture on google and thought, lets morph them together:
