How to Farm Coveted The Fun Way!

The reason I could never get into farming Coveted is because most approaches are effective, but pretty stale. This approach I came up with is lot riskier, but if you're in it for cash, and not RP, give it a try. The reason I say this is because if you put it on Hard, you're putting yourself at a lot more risk. I just play it on normal since I'm in it for the dinero.

 

I also do this solo. I guess a friend could help, but you don't really need someone to come along with you.

 

Here are the steps:

 

1. When the mission starts, run down and take out the guy by the first Granger with an assault rifle or whatever weapon of your choosing.

 

2. Get close to the Granger and bring out your sniper rifle of choice. Aim down the cove and left where the two guys are standing by the two Sanchezs. Snipe the nearest Sanchez about 1-3 times until it explodes. The explosion will kill the two guys.

 

(Optional) Then aim to the left as quickly as you can and snipe the guy hanging out by the rusted van. He will be alerted by the fire and explosion so you need to be quick, or else he will move behind the rusted van and be a much harder shot.

 

3. Get inside the Granger and drive down as fast as you can, but assume control over the vehicle. SMASH into the Granger on the right as hard as you can! Try to smash into the front-end directly. If you did it well enough, you will have killed the two guys taking cover behind it.

 

4. Take out a grenade launcher and blow up the other Granger that 3 enemies will be taking over behind. You can also choose to shoot them. Your choice.

 

5. At this point the Cargobob is already well on its way. Most likely, two enemies will be coming down the hill you drove down, so just take them out. Since you are such a far distance away, they are not a threat.

 

6. Wait for the Cargobob to land. If you want just a teeny bit more RP you can choose to snipe the enemies across the water that are by the other Grangers, although this is not necessary. If you hang back, they will not be able to get a shot at you.

 

7. When the Cargobob lands, kill the pilot however you see fit. I personally enjoy smacking him with a golf club. Get inside the Cargobob and make sure your character closes the door as the cockpit is 100% bulletproof.

 

8. Grab the container and deliver it.

 

9. Repeat as many times as desired.

Finally a fun way to enjoy farming cash in Coveted. I was starting to get a little bored of the "sniping everyone at cove method" which I used to do.

I farmed Violent Duct when everyone was doing it because it was actually fun. I enjoy sniping other players. I do not enjoy sniping AI.

i read this and thought its exactly how i play it, less the grenade launcher to the 3rd Granger. i usually get my AP pistol ready beforehand, kill those three with it and lie in wait for the chopper.... but i defo smash the second granger to kill the two guys in front of it..

 

although theres one fun step you can add in as well abyss

 

on the far left theres three guys stood by a separate container (not the one you collect).

Theres a wooden crate they hide behind, with a small oil drum in front of it...

 

(from the first granger sniper point) Cap the oil drum with your sniper rifle, sending the NPC's to try and find cover one sometimes hides behind the oil drum, so it starts leaking fuel. then snipe the fuel on the floor to ignite it, boooom 3 downed NPC's nice lil extra 75RP and only takes 2 bullets to kill three guys... i reckon it would add maybe ten seconds to your time, just after sniping the two snachez sanchez (parapraxis maybe..)

This is how I've seen it done in all the videos. It is fun and fast if you can get the Cargobob to pick the damn container up first time, but mine always seems to need another pass or two & by then I'm riddled with bullets

takes a bit of practice but you can get this right, drop the hook before you even set off in the bob... as soon as i see the onscreen prompt i hold right and let it drop, then hold LB/L1 as you set off and youll turn straight away, let of the RT/R2 as you get over the water till your roughly container height, then swoop in and nail that sucka...

 

ive actually managed to complete this mission with minimal kills, taking out the guy in the 1st granger, drive down, take cover while bob lands, kill bob pilot.. .steal bob, swoop on container

 

if you really want a challenge, try it using only pistols....

If you have the heavy sniper rifle 2 shots will cause the Sanchez by the container to explode. This is typically all it takes to eliminate 3 of the 4 who are standing near the container. The 4th is an idiot and stands there exposed while you draw a bead on him.

 

Deploying the hook on the Cargobob is a hit and forget thing. There's no need to hold the button.

How do you snipe the cars ? Do you shoot the gastank or the bonnet ?

 

 

The Sanchez is a dirt bike. I aim at the gas tank. The first shot knocks the bike over and the 2nd ignites it. If there's a sweet spot for a 1 shot explosion I haven't found it.

 

For vehicles in general I've found it best to aim for the hood or grill depending on the angle you have on the target. The Grangers (I believe) across the cove in Coveted are hard kills if you find yourself having to blow up the vehicle to get the last guy hiding behind it. With the heavy sniper rifle it takes around a mag and a half typically to get an explosion. Again, if there's a sweet spot I'm unaware of it.

I've done Coveted a bunch of times over the last 2 weeks, not in the hundreds but probably 2-3x / day. Today was the first time I tried it in the darkness. I was co-oping with a random, he was the host, and left it as current time of day.

 

wow, whole nother mission at night. Add to the darkness (which makes it real hard to snipe the guys) the fact that apparently the dudes down the hill don't render as well with 2 players, and we failed the mission! I'm rank 60, he was seventy something. Pretty embarrassing. I'm going to have to practice it at night a few times. He bailed the lobby as we failed, leaving me all alone on the hill in the darkness with my thoughts.

Ive always done it like this, only without the explosives, it takes me 3 minutes to finish it on hard going solo.... remember that hard earns you 18k

Thanks, I actually rarely touched missions since October until now. Have been playing Covenant all day and was taking about 8 minutes thanks to taking my time sniping in the cove, this should help out a lot!

im down with a killer virus ATM so playing normaly or competitively right now is impossible so im just farming coveted for as long as can hold out for before my eyes give in lol..

 

ive been having fun with placing stickys on the grangers and bailing sending them down the hills igniting at just the right time taking em all out, while I can't give you guys a 100% walkthrough on it because as I say im pretty ill atm but its fun and quick, the only down side is the price in ammo/stickys but sure is satisfying when you pull it off..

 

ps.. love the idea of the golfclub on the cargobob pilot, gona have to try that lol

It used to work with two or more people in the game but the last time I tried it after 1.10 it didn't work. Got container destroyed message.

If you are in it for dinero why do you play it on normal..only 15k

Even on hard there's no inherent danger outside of a freak stray bullet

 

When I am not in an rp mood; I kill the first enemy by the suv for certain at which point I decide to snipe or rush the landing zone, there's only five enemies you absolutely need to kill which are the ones standing by the suv's.

The right side of the landing zone from how you see it originally, is safe so sniping or rushing them is negligible since its so few enemies and a good sniper can clean them out in one clip.

Once you own the landing zone its a bit of a playground for kills, the cargobob's on its way so there's a bit of time to take kills; two of the most likely being a pair of enemies that often pursue you from the container area, the rest are optional but the suv's across the water will explode if you aim for their gas tanks.

 

As far as the pilot goes, I often just sneak in the passenger side when he lands and slide into the pilots seat as he gets out and proceed to veer the helicopter into him usually killing him..I've never died doing this but timing it poorly can results in ones demise; its of great benefit in terms of efficiency because it allows for instantaneous take off. Sometimes the pilot exits via teleport, or closes the door when gets out solving open door dangers, but I find forward momentum closes it most times (bulletproof cockpit). The mission mostly depends on that CB trigger..

Its a simple mission to cut down to a science/personal flavour so I'm not going too in depth.

Those grenades might set you back though...

Doing this method sucks with randoms because they usually are too stupid to realize you're trying to beat it fast, so they get mad when you drive away with the Granger.

Last night I was playing a coveted 16x playlist, and for the last five rounds a guy had a buzzard on the hill at the start. After i took out the container goons with a Sanchez, he finished the rest off in less than a minute and a half. It makes it a lot quicker and more enjoyable!
