Acceptable kill back number

Till the money shot. Then the thought of killing them again disgusts me.

wow! your third separate thinly disguised moaning about Freeroam PvP thread which is actually the same as the other 2 you have running. How do you get away with it. Why not just stick to the first thread you made

Until they back away. If you don't have the time for that, kill them the amount of times they killed/attacked you +1.

I was wondering what is the standard acceptable times a player should kill someone who starts a fight with a kill. For example, if I'm driving my car minding my own business and get ganked, how many times should I reasonably kill them back before it becomes socially objectionable. I realize many factors may effect the calculation like if I was killed with a tank, sniped, etc. But based on general consensus, what is an average acceptable limit, or is there one even? Personally, I go by the kill back once for each time I've been killed, and if my car was destroyed, an extra death for the car, or destruction of theirs. Thank you.

In terms of revenge / justice I'd say 2 times if fair. But if your k/d is important to you I would say it's fair to get however many you need to balance if out.

That said, if it was a particularly impressive kill I I usually tell them so by text and leave it at that.

slippery slope

Till they leave or I get bored.

I'm always helping people out in free roam by defending the player that's delivering Simeon's vehicle, doing missions with newbies, giving bounty rewards to the lowest level etc. So when someone attacks me for no reason, it's Trevor mode all the way

If someone killed me once, I try to kill him at least twice. Always at least one more time. When I'm pissed off, I try to kill him until he leaves the area or the session.

i dont ever shoot first... but if im attacked just minding my own business then its full on.

its different if i walk up to someone or pull along side their car, because i admit that can be a little sketchy and i had that coming. but if im popped for no reason at all or just driving by then i skull f*ck the sh*t out of them.

and to the douchebag last night with the mini gun... haha f*ck you. good try :)

i really wish i was capturing that exchange to share with the group

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame about your chrome adder being reduced to a flaming wreck.

With me it's 2. Enough to prove a point, but not so much that it's overkill or a waste of time. GTA is a more varied game, lots of other stuff to do, I don't want to waste my time chasing down the same person to kill over and over. When I want to kill people over and over I go play Call of Duty, that's kind of the point with that game..

I try to keep it level like 3 kills on them and 3 deaths from him. But if they repeatedly spawn kill me, it's on until they stop fighting back

Kill untill they stop fighting back. Then it's just noobish to keep killing. And boring tbh.

This guy and his buddy I don't know how but they followed me from session to session stalking me so I went and got my tank and was waiting for them.

I killed one of them 23 times the other not sure because he gave up early but the other one kept trying to jump on the tank.

I can't help but laugh that they keep coming at the tank thinking they are actually going to get on top of it and get me out of it I've never had a tank stolen from me whilse I was in it

I don't usually bother just accept the fact that im likely to get killed for no reason. I find if I just ignore them they usually just go away if not I just switch to passive mode and they get the message pretty quick. I can then get back to doing whatever I was up to before they kicked off.

I only tend to kill players if they have a bounty or are trying to beat me to an armoured car or high priority vehicle

Until they leave the session or go in passive mode, then when they are in passive run them over a few more times for good measure.

Yeah but how many times have they made it there mission to kill you while your in passive mode?

Some people see it as a challenge instead of a "Buzz Off Buddy" sign

If they keep at me in passive I just stick my character on a ledge and then pop out in the garden for a smoke.

Wait until they go into passive mode, then once they do call a fire truck and continue trolling them until they've had enough and bail.

I don't like unprovoked attacks. I will troll them until they leave. It's great fun too, especially if they have a mic

As many times as you want. If someone thinks it's cool to randomly kill you, go and kill them as many times as they can take.

Always learned, don't dish out what you cannot take yourself.

When they run away from me in fear is when I stop. Even then, I'll let them run away then randomly show up to kill them every so often. I made a kid cry doing this but f*ck it, he shouldn't be playing GTA anyway.

If you killed them in their tank then you don't ever stop killing them until they leave.

If they are low levels then just kill them once or twice and let them go unless they keep coming at you for more.

i'm not really that interested in what's deemed to be an acceptable number. for me, it's just about fun; which is directly related to the skill of the opponent and not necessarily their rank.

if i'm killing them with ease, then twice would be enough for revenge purposes. 4/5 max if they're fighting back, but if it's too easy, it's boring, so i'd move on.

conversely, if i'm getting my ass kicked, i'll likely run away if they've killed me 4/5 times in a row.

if it's an even fight (ie. killing each other roughly the same amount of times), then i'd continue for as long as the other player wants to.

if it's against a crew of 2/3 players, i'll keep it up until they (or i) leave the session. chasing them all over the map, if necessary.
