Acceptable kill back number

I was wondering what is the standard acceptable times a player should kill someone who starts a fight with a kill. For example, if I'm driving my car minding my own business and get ganked, how many times should I reasonably kill them back before it becomes socially objectionable. I realize many factors may effect the calculation like if I was killed with a tank, sniped, etc. But based on general consensus, what is an average acceptable limit, or is there one even? Personally, I go by the kill back once for each time I've been killed, and if my car was destroyed, an extra death for the car, or destruction of theirs. Thank you.

If they keep advancing at you after multiple deaths then oblige them. If they back off then they shall be spared.

2 times if it's a low level, 4 if he's in the 80s, I'll keep killing anyone over 100 until they stop fighting back.

Over 350 i'll chase them around and make their life miserable until they ragequit.

Just to be clear, if a player is stalking me and I already know their intentions because they've attacked me once already, I feel it's fair to kill them until they stop.

Exactly. There is no limit, you whoop them until it's seared into their mind and they learn form it. Then you have a laugh.

 

People get shot alot out of the blue so they start shooting on sight. Then they run into the wrong person and they learn it's actually a pretty stupid thing to do. Then they learn not to shoot on sight like but actually play defensive instead of being a naive fool. Moral of the story is don't shoot on sight and don't assume no one is going to shoot at you. Just be ready.

Yes because if they start following you again they want blood. See if they shoot first and if they do go to town on em again until they learn the above lesson.

If you're not doing anything and they attack you, you can kill them as many times as you feel like.

I always kill players 2 times for each time they are hostile, on top of sending mugger and mercenaries after killing them the second time.

This is a good point in my view, players are overly trigger happy in my experience and it's not their normal nature but the environment trained them to behave that way. This is why I feel it's fair to give the benefit of the doubt and kill back once or twice in the case of the car loss.

Naw. They are letting the way others play control them instead of playing for themselves. If a smart person gets shot at alot he/she might come to realize something is wrong and try to adjust. Someone who shoots on sight because they keep getting killed is a broken person that must be fixed again. Unfortunately for them they must hit rock-bottom first and by that i mean running into the wrong person one too many times.

 

Of course this isn't the case for everyone. None of this matters to a casual hop-on and play here and there person. They will shoot at everyone regardless. They are always the ones to rage quit the quickest.

Kill them until they start crying on their mic. If they don't have a mic, ask them to pm you their address, purchase a mic, mail it to them, then make them cry on it.

 

Nah lol, usually if I get killed for no reason I kill them until they quit.

At least 5 kills to every 1death, + as many personal vehicles they use within that time. If they get 2, then I go to 10 and so forth. Assuming this is 1 on 1. If a tank is involved or they shoot at my Lambo I will heartlessly spawn kill them until they leave.

i had one these last session. I drove by the guy slowly. Neither of us fired. Then right as i slowly rolled past him he threw a sticky and blew me up. I chased him to lsc right as he was driving towards the open door i killed him. I killed him 10 more times and he got me one more. I was leaving after my second kill and he shot me as i driving away so i killed him there. Then pulled out the sniper and killed him another 7 times lol.

Well, I stick to about 5... it's clear at that point they don't have the skillz. I'm not out there to embarrass people.

 

I do the same thing with parachuting missions... I consider myself near expert level and win against just everybody but I'll leave the lobby after 2 wins because there's no point in further humiliation... unless they choose another parachuting mission, and even then I'm reluctant.

 

** (unless their win/loss ratio indicates they're experienced parachuters.. maybe they're just having a bad day. But I think I've only seen that situation once... sadly parachuting doesn't attract a lot of regulars.)

1-7 times, usually. I always send a message before I kill back. If I get no response, which is %99.99 of the time, and they display continued hostility in our next encounter, I fight back.

 

1-3 times if I'm feeling sympathetic/generous, or if they're lower level. More if I want to send the point home, "Leave me alone, or die." If they're persistent, I continue until they run.
