I'm assuming you're one of those cum dumplings who allow custom vehicles but catchup off. You can still lose regardless.

 

Catchup is a mechanic that's pretty nifty, it can be annoying but it's not a new thing. It's actually based on drafting, a real life thing in racing, especially Nascar.

Catchup does not do that. That is "slipstream"...lol ........Yes we play with custom cars and catchup off. So a lot more skill is needed.

Was just a little annoyed. Been trying to do races all morning and everyone in random races seems to have it on and doing "down the drain" still.... It is just old. Every time I say screw and do the race anyways....the majority leave during the select screen so I get stuck with stupid catch up on with like 1-3 racers. It is just silly.

Turning catchup off is fine if you don't allow custom cars, but I always felt it was a little unfair on the lower level players that don't have all the customisation options. If I join a lobby set up this way, and the host only wants to race supercars, my first thought is "Hmm... this guy is trying to boost".

Part of the problem is that so many noobs have no idea what catchup is, and Rockstar ignorantly set it default as "on". If it was automatically set to "off", we wouldn't have near this big of a problem.

LOL DAMN.. That is pretty mean haha... It all make sense now

 

 

I for one hate if people put "Catch up" OFF... It's not fun when I'm in first place and no one is there for me to crash into.

 

Plus, you know you are a pro racer when you see someone catching up to you and you can THINK ON YOUR FEET on a way to prevent that person from passing you up.

 

 

 

Damn, this argument is just as bad as the "which car is better, adder or entity"

 

I can say catch up OFF are for noobs because you can make the other players crash and you will be in first place forever without a care in the world.

Then i can also say Catch up ON is for noobs because they need help to win/catch up

Are you aware that there are people in this world that have a severe medical condition which causes them to be that way? My mother for instance is one of those people. She is a truck driver that has bad knees and a bad back from driving the truck but you probably do not care about that case either. Oh well I am not one of those people I am 6'4" 245lbs and I exercise every day. I would love to see you say something like that to my mother in front of me.

 

Probably never happen though you are probably just an internet tough guy. I doubt very seriously you would say that to someones face. Just my thought.What do you think. Oh I am sorry you probably do not have a brain. I on the other hand will be happy to buy you a plane ticket to come here and see if you have the nerve to say that to someone I know.

Slipstream is based on drafting.

 

Catchup isn't based on sh*t. It's a ton of bullsh*t that allows weaker drivers a chance to catch up. Get your facts straight before spouting off with your nonsense.

No, I wouldn't. I'm not that good of a racer yet, and don't have any fully-modded cars, so I typically race alone until I get the hang of it.
