Has R* ever referred to it in a credible way?

 

Has anyone looked in the game guts and found code referring to it?

There has been a leak on mission creator. I'm not sure about survival though.

 

And no, Rockstar hasn't publicly mentioned it.

I would have RATHER beta tested this than what we have now. At least we could make actual jobs with this!

I doubt Rockstar will ever release the Mission creator let alone soon; they only advertised the Race and Deathmatch creators.

Farmers will tell you different; you're missing out big pay when you're not doing the missions.

A decent mission creator could save this game.

I don't think it's a game saver, because most people make junk with the creators. Give them any sort of freedom, their first ambition will be to abuse it all to hell. People could make decent missions but I can only see them being able to make typical fetch quests and gang attacks, so it could be very limited on variety.

I'm making a handbook of all the jobs I want to create in my head. And with this I'd probably be able to make most of them.

 

Release it rockstar. I think a good Mission Creator would be worth money to me.

looks like crackdown's keys to the city mode.

 

but no rockstar won't let us create our missions or survivals because that would indicate that they actually give a f*ck about us having fun in gta V.

 

Although the creator mode is in beta atm, perhaps they'll release creation of missions in alpha?

 

I'm so up and down when it comes to these sort of discussions, let's bow our heads and pray for mission creator..

R* needs to create a survival inside the military base with 1 tank that comes at you in wave 10

Didn't R* one time say ''we want the community to make missions as complex as ours'' or something along those lines? Also, I think in the long run we'll see a Creator for every type of job.

I think the creators is core to the future of GTA:O and it is R* plan to allow us to create missions etc!.

As long as people are creating good new content the game could potentially stay alive for many years.

mission creator is their special dev tool .

they've created last team standing with it and survival and deliver missions and versus missions and they will create heists with it as i found in text files for mission creator :

"Set the type of Mission. A Heist Mission starts in the players safe house, must have a contact character to give you the heist and can be available at specific times of the day."

if they release it no one will cares about their missions .. etc

In order to make a decent survival mission, the AI would have to know exactly where the players are camping and create spawn points BEHIND them to catch them unawares.

 

Another idea is to simply overwhelm the remaining defenders with sheer numbers in Wave 10 to ensure it is challenging enough. Let's say, 30 to 1 consistent ratio?

Survivals would be a lot simpler to create than Missions, especially for amateurs. It would be much like creating a Deathmatch, in that you only need a defined location, weapon placement, and spawn points for Players and NPCs. The rest, like NPC behaviors, could be more or less "automatic." And God knows we need more Survivals!

If most DM/races are anything to go by, there will be two types of UGC missions:

  1. Farming Mission - Target spawns 50 feet away from you, kill him and deliver an object around the corner = 10,000 RP + $50k
  2. Troll Mission - Spawn in the middle of 20 or so NPCs who immediately turn and kill you before you can do anything = fail the mission in about 10 seconds

  1. Farming Mission - Target spawns 50 feet away from you, kill him and deliver an object around the corner = 10,000 RP + $50k
  2. Troll Mission - Spawn in the middle of 20 or so NPCs who immediately turn and kill you before you can do anything = fail the mission in about 10 seconds

 

 

Someone made a suggestion on another website, I forget which one, but he suggested that the payout be based simply on how long the mission takes, to discourage short farming missions, with a cap after say ten minutes, so that people don't start a mission, go to work, then return to a multimillion dollar payout.

 

Seems like it could work, except maybe that people could have endlessly respawning NPCs as a turkey shoot to get more RP from killing each one. I'm sure Rockstar could figure out a way to nerf that, though.

That's basically they're saying "We want the community to work for their own fun while we have owned and possibly get more of their money."

You don't have to play sh*tty Missions more than once. And if others want to farm, who cares? Cream rises to the top, as they say. Good Missions get up-voted and played.
