Not sure about you, but when I'm walking/driving around in-game and I spot a white dot unaffiliated with me on the same street and heading in my direction, I look for cover or find another road to be driving down until said dot passes me by. Too many times I've been walking to some location only to have a random person run me over, or some bozo start shooting at me just because we happen to be on the same road at the same time.

 

As a result, I found myself walking to my car after work (in the real world) the other day (I get out at 9pm Monday and Tuesday). The parking lot lights were out and I could barely see anything. I live and work in a pretty damn safe neighborhood, but found myself looking around just in case. To be certain, part of it was a normal level of situational awareness. But I also found it ironic that, as I was making my way to my car in the dark, I kept thinking of GTAO...

Paranoid in-game? Yeah, i'll admit. I see a white dot coming toward me on the radar and I have no idea if they're going to try running me over, shooting at me, sticky bomb attacking or what.

 

But IRL?... Uh, no. Not in the slightest.

Whenever I walk out of my home in real life, I'm afraid that I'm going to get spawn killed by a tank.

Ingame most definitely.

Anytime I see a white dot going in my general direction. That f*cker is going down.

ingame im always on the defence... you drive in my direction, i open fire...

 

IRL, nothing have changed for me, evenknow ill admit i get some sort of rush feeling everytime i see a armored truck.

Lol it is kinda fun to pick a random dot and haul ass towards them just to see the reactions...

 

Then again, it sucks ass being on the receiving end of a potential angry individual. However I don't just roll up blasting and looking to kill just interested in what ya up to. Rarely are those the feelings of others tho.

I'm a bit paranoid in the game, I take cover when a white dot is approaching, look always on the radar, shoot on sight etc., but the game doesn't make me paranoid in real life. It's just that I sometimes think of a heavy sniper rifle when a car in real life is driving away from me.

If has made me paranoid. I'm now terrified that all quality franchises will be reduced to cheap plastic money-magnets that rely on micro-transactions and water the games down to blandness so they'll appeal to the widest possible markets.

No, it's just a game. I usually remember that.

 

In terms of the "white dot", it's funny because if I see a white dot - first thing I do is sticky grenade their car, blow them up, and then start laughing as I drive into the sunset.

Whenever i see a white dot coming into the same road as i am on the opposite direction, i always hide in my Matte Black Sabre and turn the lights off when its night, then i remember he can still see me....

 

They need to implement off radar permanently in free roam, would make the game more immersive imo.

Not at all, lads. I do see how some would be though. After you've been run out by your own teammate nothing else supercedes that paranoia. Anything that can happen to you in GTA Online has no real consequences.
