Best gift car in your opinion?

My buddy just got GTA online, and I've been helping him get on his feet a bit. At the moment he's level 20 and we're grinding high level missions to get him his 10 car apartment.

 

First, any tips on helping out a noobie would be appreciated. Be nice if I could give him cash, but it seems like even the 'share bounty from last mission' option is disabled most of the time. I noticed that I can give him weapons, but I think they disappear anytime you start a new mission or switch lobbies.

 

What's the best car to trick out and give him? Has to be something I can modify and pass on without insuring. I gave him a fully tricked out sultan, because that's MY favorite spawnable car, but what are some other good ones?

The Gauntlet is a great starter car in my opinion.

 

It's the best in the Muscle class and looks really great in my opinion.

 

You could always just dupe him one of your cars...

I would say the best NON premium vehicle you could do up for him would be either a Felon (4 door) or Sultan.

 

The Sultan works great because it's relatively inexpensive if you're strapped for cash as well.

 

The Ocelots (F620 + Jackal) would also be honorable mentions because of their high resale value in comparison. The Fusilade is also a decent mention.

 

EDIT: Just saw the Sultan part, write that one out.

Give him a tricked out Sabre Turbo. Great looking car. good for missions, and not too expensive to upgrade or replace if it gets destroyed.

A feltzer. Dominator is much better than the gauntlet btw I have tested them both and the dominator won everytime fully tuned.

I'd have loved the Felon or the F620 starting out. I actually think a tricked out Oracle is fairly decent too. I'm keeping one in my garage as a getaway car for when heists arrive.

One, he can't gift his friend a Feltzer.

 

Two, the Gauntlet has both better braking and better handling than the Dominator. The Dominator is much more challenging to drive, and is just worse than the Gauntlet in almost every way.

 

Also, the Schafter is another good vehicle to give him if he wants a four-door. But, if you can find someone to dupe it for him, get him a Buffalo Mk 2. Best four-door in the game, way better than that tin-foil Sultan.

Dominator sells for ~119k after mods. Would be decent for him if he decided to sell it and put that money towards something from the website.

 

I think the best starter car is the (I think) Surano. If that's not the right name of it it's the one that looks like a mercedes kompressor. They're very common, resell is decent and their handling and speed are both decent.

 

Or Sentinel XS.. he would probably hold on to a modded one.

You gave him a Sultan? Then he already has a pretty customizable, cheap, fast and useful (4 door) car

 

What about an off road vehicle? A Sandking, Rebel or something like that to have fun up in the mountains. Or maybe a bike, the Bagger and Daemon are rare and look pretty cool. They're not too fast though, but bikes are for cruising most of the time, you are too exposed to bullets.

Baller 2 for money, Tailgater for missions. Sentinel are common and good choice in either 2 or 4 seats.

Benefactor shwartzer looks different and is slower than above. Maybe Tailgater is on par perfomance.

To this day I never drove Sultan as my PV ... I don't like hype about it, and think its one of ugliest donkey cars.

Just make sure you do this on an invite only session so some dick doesn't blow it up after you mod it before he can insure it

Can't go wrong with a Sultan if you can bloody find one.

 

I got mine and even when I'm driving around, I only get spawns of the other car which looks similar but it has a sunroof

He's referring to all round car. in which case the gauntlet is a better option. Its faster and has better handling.

 

I'd go with a fusilade.. but thats only because it was my first car and I want another one. f620 is an awesome car and its basically a modern James Bond Car. Also feltzer is out of the question. That car is such garbage.
