Why do you feel a need for "rare" cars?

Rarity has never been a factor in my choice of cars. I do understand the 'gotta catch 'em all!' mentality behind collecting them, but it's not for me.

 

In my garage I have a racing yellow Futo, which is my first car and haven't yet been able to part with because of sentimental reasons. A matte black Oracle, ominous and inconspicuous looking, that I'm keeping as a getaway car for heists (also when I get up to sticky-based shenanigans). I have my yellow Carbonizzare, the first car I saved for and probably my favourite in the game. I love the way it looks, the way handles, and the sound it makes.

 

I have an ice white F620 purely for how it looks. The performance and handling are a bonus. An yellowy orange Vacca, it's my super for races (though I get smashed by the Adders and Entities, I stick with it) and I like its cross between a McLaren and Lamborghini looks. I've a British racing green Rapid GT which I purchased because I like my Astons, but it isn't as beautiful to look at as they are and I find the handling too heavy for my liking. I'd get rid of it if I hadn't bought it before 1.07 and I'm not ready to take a hit on replacing yet.

 

I have two-tone brown Dominator I keep solely for Muscle car races. It flies in races but muscle cars aren't for me and I'll probably replace it soon. My last two purchases are an anthracite black with ultra blue pearlescent Monroe because I think the Miura is pretty, and a Torino red Stinger GT, which is kinda slow, kinda spongey, but is nice to look at and that sound it makes? Oh my.

I wouldn't say I've got anything overly "rare" in my garage, but what I do have I actually enjoy cruising around in more than most of the cars I've bought..

 

Hardest things to find have been my Mananas and my Nemesis...

 

Trust me, I think this is waaay cooler looking for cruising round the streets in than a chradder:

 

 

and this baby knocks the stuffing out of any other offroad bike... So much so, it's basically the only bike my first character uses now...

I use rare cars because I wanna be different from others. I normally roll out with a coil voltic or the neglected Surano which is very underrated, when I feel like taking a cruise around I just use the Dubsta V2. Love it

I think people are forgetting this is a GAME. How the f*ck can you be a hipster on a game?

Its just bragging rights and individuality, which is the whole reason customization and rare / difficult to obtain items exist in online games. Stop being bitter over something that doesn't affect you.

It adds to the fun of the game. I spent hours looking for rare vehicles. Tailgater, Nemesis, Rat Loader, all the gang cars, hardtop Manana, Daemon, Bagger. The rare cars and bikes are slow but they're not race vehicles. They're collector vehicles. I have more fun driving the Sentinel XS than my Entity... or riding my Nemesis than my Akuma in freeroam.

 

This makes GTA5 a great game. There's so many things to do. I can spend a day looking for a rare car and feels great when I finally find one. Sometimes I even find a rare spawn and give it to whoever wants it in the freeroam session. Found a hardtop Manana for this kid and then he gets blown up by a tanktard with a small penis.

I have 4 rare cars, bobcat, phoenix, sentinel and tailgater. I use them a lot except maybe my bobcat but that's because it's my slot 1 car so I'm hesitant to take it out.

 

Sentinel is my favorite free roam car.
