You didn't lose any legit money. Let's look at my profile for ease of maths.

 

 

As you can see I was given (shared, it's not money you personally shared with someone) 1 billion dollars. I killed a 2 billion dollar bounty, so have 2 billion in "jobs". That means that I have made 28.3 Million dollars through jobs, bounties, survivals etc. My total spent is 65.6 Million dollars. This means that I spent 37.5 Million dollars over what I actually earned legitimately. When Rockstar reset my cash, they left me with 550,000 dollars. Had they been (even more so) evil bastards, they would have left me at -37.5 million dollars since that's what I spent over what I actually earned from the game.

 

So you see, I, nor you, nor anyone else who spent any hacked cash, lost any legit money. We simply had the majority of the hacked cash removed, except for 550,000 - 50,000 dollars.

ok let me try and explain how the money wipe worked. The code R* used during the sweep was able to tell the difference beetween legit earned money and hacked money. Then they could tell how much you spend. In cases ( i'm guesing most) where people spent more than they earned when removing all hacked money would have wiped or put the account in a negative they left a cash gift of 50k-550k " to continue to enjoy GTA Online"....

 

An example for you... A member of this forum had just under 6million of legit earned money... he was gifted a few hundred million which he didnt want. he moved all that gifted money to a second character and did not spend any of it. After the wipe he was left with......yep... Just under 6m.

 

Another example.... Me.... i had about 900k before the sweep. I have never been gifted money nor claimed hacked bounty.... I'll leave you to guess how much i had after the sweep shall i

 

 

I spent some since modding cars for some newbies but THIS is what a 100% legit profile with no gifts/LSC glitching is sposed to look like

But at the root of your post was You complaining (whether you believe so or not) about your loss of legit money. Your stats (which may have been for a second character because that was your last played character and RSC only shows the last played character, yet the stats still show evidence to support our showing you) are being brought up because You are the OP (who is complaining i might add again, even tho you dont believe so) The last two pages were simply, while at times harshly, trying to get YOU the person who STARTED this thread, to understand that You Sir have in fact NOT lost any legit money.
