i had a mil and a half before all the drama.

i knew it was inevitable, so i spent what i could and played normally. good thing i decided to cash in and trade all my 360 gear for a ONE... gtao was dead within the first month to me. SP will always be fun.

You made 97k (according to stats) gifted over a billion, spent over 9 million. Where do you see a loss in legit money?

 

Its okay, after the cash wipe i thought the same thing to be honest, since after receiving money i managed to make several hundred thousand, but my spent money was in the millions. So no one was actually losing legit money

All the way to the end of this whole thing, R* was unclear in communicating what to do with the counterfeit cash. There were many threads on here with links to the different Support site "Official" responses that showed that. Some that I remember are:

 

1. Report all the transactions. (not really possible if you received 11b in 100m increments.)

 

2. Put money on your second character. (sorry, but I use both)

 

3. Don't worry about spending it. (not "Don't worry about spending it because you will be left with 550,000.)

 

It's funny that most of those links in the old threads no longer point to a valid page.

 

Their mass wipe also shows that they did not have access to each transaction and that a blanket wipe was the solution that they chose instead. It doesn't matter to them if you spent a little or a lot, if you bought cash cards or not, just a big F You to pretty much everyone who got the money.

 

Yes, this does leave a bitter taste and they will most likely get away with it. By that I mean the people that bought cash cards.

 

It's been 2 weeks since I sent my support request and I have not received a reply and at this point I don't think I will.

So you see, I, nor you, nor anyone else who spent any hacked cash, lost any legit money. We simply had the majority of the hacked cash removed, except for 550,000 - 50,000 dollars.
