What does it take for you to have to get a tank?

For me it takes jacking someone who currently has one, which I have only managed to do once.

 

It really is a magnificent beast. I was so overjoyed to be using one that I felt compelled to spread that joy unto others

I've only really managed to get them in the last few days after using the gate glitch (saving up for my own) but mainly I've just been going on a rampage but only because I now can. It will wear off sooner or later but yesterday, I drove past the skate park and this guy was doing jumps on his BMX and i stopped and pointed my turret at him. He stopped and just sat there looking at me. He then just carried on and I went over and started trying to do half pipe tricks in my tank which we both found quite amusing. He then followed me off round the city doing tricks over cars and on my tank.

 

We became bros.

by now most of you know i am a twanker. i love to kill players with my tank. i ruin the game for small children. that being said, for those of you that don't enjoy using the tank...

 

i have another option for you. keep an eye on the map. know the spawn points for the tanks. when you see a player make that run for their tank. steal the tank from them. you can either spawn kill them with their own tank or place the tank somewhere they cant get it. no more tank for that player.

like this poor chump. i beat him to his tank, killed him and then ditched his tank in this pool. the tank isn't destroyed. the triangle button still has the player try to enter the tank but the water stops them. its also tipped just enough that a cargobob cant pick it up. i teased this poor guy for about an hour as he attempted to reclaim his tank. kept my distance with a combo of heavy sniper and off the radar. he left the session and victory was mine.

I only use my tank when:

 

1. I want to do the glitch with the Barracks

 

2. A person constantly kills a low level

 

3. If there's groups of people going after one person

 

4. If someone in the lobby is being a general dick to everyone else.

 

5. Finally if someone continually comes after me even though I kill them straight away.

For me I don't usually get a tank unless I see another tank bullying unsuspecting players. Either that or if I hear a squeaker on the mic or a 'gangsta wannabe' hurling racial insults, I'll grab my tank and attack them with it because I feel like it.

That or chrome Adders/Entities. Keep that sh*t away from me. You might be able to outrun my tank, but you won't outrun a cannon blast.

I ground the f*ck out of crystal clearout 3 last Wednesday so I could reach level 70 and buy a tank before they took away "my" dirty cash.

Then after 5 minutes in the tank I realised "this sucks".

It's not like some honour thing where I think I'm being a dick to the other players I just didn't find it fun at all. I'll maybe try it again some day, but they're not really for me and don't suit my style of play.

I dont own a tank and never will buy one. Tanks are for scrubs. you can try and justify owning such an OP weapon by saying "I only use it to get griefers" or " I only use it against cops" etc. the fact is if you use a tank in a PVP situation you are a scrub.

People have to keep in mind. You never know why a person is being gangraped, its mostly best to mind your business.

 

You go to help a prick who killed two crew members. By bringing out a tank, not knowing everyone in that crew has tanks and tank sniping skills. Now YOU will get gangraped, although you feel you won't. Smh.

For most people who own tanks its as soon as they die, the butthurt travels fast.

 

For me personally I take it out whenever I see a tank going out of his way to follow me, if he kills me once I have the tank I get a friend in the session and use a Buzzard..dat passenger missile.

I do this sometimes. I like letting the person getting picked have a chance for their own sweet revenge I will stand by in case they need a little back up. I don't like bullies either.

If you respawn near me I just honk and drive away looking for my next victim. When it finally blows up I go back to invite only and start the whole process over again.
