Just wanted to post another one of the Hoe. I think some aftermarket headlamps would look great on this. Only some slight rust on the lift gate & some surface rust patches around the frame, but overall I think it's in good condition for a '97.

 

I'll update this post with some interior pictures at some point.

Ack! - so many nice rides...

Meanwhile, the combination of 'terrible pay' and 'exorbitant petrol/insurance/running costs and congestion charge' over here in the UK means that my regular ride mostly looks like, well, this:




What's worse, my local used car dealership occasionally gets in things like THIS:

...for prices often no more than £7k - and for that particular one, I actually had the funds for it, briefly! But then I had to plough it all back into my freelance business (and the running costs for that), and so that brief moment fizzled out like a sparkler in blizzard - FML...

Indeed she can. For reasons unbeknownst to me, the factory air filters are god awful (practically choking the engine, cutting responsiveness). K&N's filter made a comparable performance gain to that of the Polestar tune. I've never driven a V60R though, or any Volvo new enough for the 4 cylinder to be standard. I imagine that it's quite capable though, especially with the R-design's Polestar tune. I would try to test drive one again if I were you, they're really nice. One of the most comfortable interiors I've been in, and a good ride to boot. Stiffer and more responsive than an Audi, more forgiving than a BMW, it's an optimal daily driver.

Yeah I hear ya there. My last car was a A4 (B8), and that car was in the shop at least a dozen times. Got charged thousands for battery problems (replacing stuff like sunroof motors and power windows, of all things), and the labor costs for the Audi garage's incompetency. The main reason I chose Volvo is because of their 100k certified warranty. An $1800 certification covered my S60 for 100,000 miles, so the shop can tinker with all those expensive trinkets on their own dime.. But man it would be nice to have a family in car sales. Out of curiosity, what model BMW is it that they have?

Yeah I saw it on Jay Leno garage. I love it in that blue they have. I love them hatchback models Volvo has. People think I'm crazy for liking them but they look sexy as hell. That c30 is just.....Perfect. Edited April 2, 2015 by Chloroform

Big sleepers they are. The early days of ford's ecoboost was like that as well. This sti pulled up next to me, I was in a flex. Is there a T5 in that by chance? Only a few hundred T5s made it to the States, so it's not a common sight, even in pictures. Not sure if they're scarce there too, or if America's just missing out.
