Don't we have like, an Automotive section with this exact thread in it? More importantly, what in the actual f*ck does this have to do with anything GTA?

Does anyone else here like having older cars instead of newer cars? Im looking to get a 2000s 5 Series or an S14-15 240sx(super cheap here). If i could, i would stick with older cars in the future because of my love for certain ones.

I've owned and still do own a Nissan S14 Zenki. Right now it's under repair, that's what drifting does for you haha.
Oh gawd, are the repairs expensive?

To be fair they really aren't that expensive, I guess the most expensive thing I need it a kit for it and a set of new wheels. Though I do know a lot of people in the automotive world that can help me out and get some things for a small discount or for free.

The wheels I'm getting are Work Meister S1 2-Piece and the kit is going to be BN Sports.

The only thing I like about older cars are how simple they were. Nowadays there are wayyyy too many f*cking computers and driver assists and general unnecessary bullsh*t. All you need is a motor drivetrain tranny clutch and a pair of eyeballs

I drive an '03 Dodge (Bravado) SX 2.0 R/T. Nothing in GTA V looks remotely similar to it. Not enough compacts.

Plan on getting a 14 Ford (Vapid) Fiesta ST though. I assume the Blista would look similar too it.

I like the new ST. I think the 1.0 Ecoboost sorta looks like an ST

Oh for sure man. Probably P4P one of the best Hot Hatches in the industry today. Total sleeper vehicle. Thing is pushing 200 HP and even more torque. Not bad for a sub-compact. Stellar bang for your buck with the Fiesta ST. The Power to weight ratio is awesome and it's pretty dominant in it's class.

You mean like in the newer cars that will brake for you if you aren't paying attention?

If you are that bad at not paying attention you need the car to brake for you so you don't crash you don't need to be driving :miranda:

exactly, id be afraid to drive knowing that at any moment my car could decide to fully engage the brakes.....and do you really need an alert to tell you youre not in your lane? seriously?

also, RIP holden :'(

Overly kitted cars for under skilled cars. It's just car manufacturers putting people on the road, when they shouldn't be.

With features like these people are going to think they'll be okay to take that extra 3 seconds to look at a text because their car will brake for them if they are too close to anything...

They are going to become more and more reliance on their cars, Pretty soon we are going to have fully automatic cars where we just said the GPS to where we want to go and the car will drive us there and we won't have to steer or press the gas or brake so we can look at our phones the whole time while the car drives us...

As a car enthusiast, that's a world I refuse to live in. I wanna get into the feel of a car, not being in what is essentially a taxi.

I drive a car that has those new features the auto breaking, the lane notifcation and auto parallel parking...

Although i like the Blind spot notification i don't care for the other ones, Maybe when i'm 80 and having trouble driving those would be perfect but i'm perfectly capable of parallel parking with no help from a computer.

Nice start, but this is little more my taste. Would love it in the game!

Some day I'll own one of these:

Some day...

I had a buddy who drove one of these in high school. Him and his dad spent like 10 years restoring it and it became his first car. They swapped in a 351 cleveland and a 4 speed. The thing was mint

I ride a motorcycle daily. If I had a penny for every car driver that crossed the yellow line into my lane, I'd be a millionaire...

Closest thing to my car is the Gauntlet. I'm just disappointed there is no visual mods in the game for it.
