Mr. Crowley

Traded in my 06 RSX Type S today on a 2011 Ram 2500 4x4

2014-05-30175545_zpsc864ca09.jpg

funny seeing the new Ram next to my old 98 1500. Its a good foot taller (and longer since its a crew cab vs the quad cab)

Gonna have to figure out what I'm gonna do with the old truck now because I really have no more use for it.

Some really good renditions of REAL vs GTA auto here!! Nice. :)

Would LOVE it if my Ram was anywhere near as cool (and BIG) as the SandKing, but at least mine is still 4x4 unlike the 'King now...

Nice looking truck. I need to get some nerf bars for mine. Wish The ones on the old 98 would fit.

The sandking is more of a Super Duty Ford though.

The Bison is the ram.

...wish I could lift the Bison up a bit to make it more like the Heavy Duty Rams, it's more of a 1500 as it is.

Oh yeah, I know the SandKing (both of 'em actually) is a "Ferd" replica. ;) As well as the Sadler truck. But if I could compare a Ram 4x4 to anything in GTA, it'd have to be the capable (well, USED to be capable) S'King.

I actually have a Blue XL in one garage and a crew color SWB in another. Love that truck in the game!! Only wish the Bison (our beloved Dodge Ram!) was at least able to mod to look like a Daytona or Rumble Bee or SRT-10...?

How about R* care to let us actually have MODS for the Bison?

Bison is a Ram truck, not a Dodge Ram :p

it is definitely a 4th gen copy

I still fight myself on that one too lol.

2009 and later is just Ram. Seperate from Dodge. (I'm sure you knew, just a little ribbing)

I actually like that it is it's own brand...just sounds cooler lol

Don't know about the Viper, think its still Dodge.

Ram is now its own car company like Dodge, Chrystler, Jeep, etc.

Just got my first car today (2000 Buick Regal GS fully loaded) Time to find a car similar to it in game i guess.

You wouldn't be downgrading because the Blista is the fastest compact - and compact races are often very fun. But I'm guessing you just quit race lobbies if it says anything other than super or sport. Am I right?

Nope. I had a Blista for ages, I rarely do Super races, I actually prefer most of the other types but no-one plays them and I like my current garage - slowly building one on second char but all the unlocks are annoying...

Z-Type,

Schafter,

Adder,

Cheetah,

Coquette,

Sandking SWB,

Bodhi,

Monroe,

Akuma,

Ruiner.

None I don't use or enjoy for their individual reasons.

What I do is find the car I want with my 2nd (lowest ranked) character and then have a friend sit in it while I swap to my high level character, then use that character to mod the car to my liking (not adding a tracker/insurance), then having said friend once again sit in the car, switch back to 2nd character, then track and insure.

If it all goes my way in a few years, I'll have a 1998-ish Honda Civic 1.5l VTEC/1.4l 3dr.

Would prefer the 1.5l VTEC.

Don't pick the D15 SOHC's. Aim for one with a B16 DOHC with true vtec. Hondata S300 with dyno tune, high comp pistons, rods, cams and valvetrain = 200whp

Example of a nice lookin' 1.5l VTEC on AutoTrader for £995. 1998 manual :)

Not paying £200+ a year in tax for a 1.6. Anything 1549cc and under produced before March 2001 is around £140 to tax yearly. Anything above the 1549cc is just over £200. Nope! 1.4/1.5l it is :)

This might seem off topic but does anyone know how I can engine swap a 2000 Honda Civic Sedan? It currently has a 127 HP Four Cylander engine and was thinking of changing it to a V6. I'm kind of poor now and I see no reason to pay someone $20,000 or something to do it for me when I can do it myself. Any thing to help is appreciated. Thanks. (And please don't call me crazy just because I'm 15. I see Civics smaller than mine. Which I think is the 1994-1997 models. The hatchback ones. I see those having supercharged V8's)

you'd really want to engine swap a civic sedan? is it a VTEC? Engine swaps can be expensive.

i'd say turbo it, it's cheaper.

turbo's run from $1,000 to $2,000 dollars. If you want the car to last, don't go cheap. NEVER Buy a no name MADE IN CHINA piece of crap off of eBay.

Always buy the best quality Turbo, NEVER get an oversized Turbo for a little 4 bangor motor, unless it's built to handle it. Imagine how much stress you'd put on that engine. Keep the Turbo small, find on from stock honda motor or something. Upgrade the cams, the drivetrain, and the suspension if you plan on adding a turbo. Make sure it's all performance base. Reason's why? You're adding a lot of weight with piping, intercooler, and the turbo itself, the suspension needs to handle it, the drivetrain need to get the power to the wheels without the teeth slipping or eating up, and the the cams help the engine run better under all the stress. always install a boost gauge and an electric boost control. blow off valve if you wanna sound cool lol. upgrade the exhaust system from the manifold to the muffler, the faster the turbo goes, the faster the bad gas/air needs to get out of the turbo and engine. also upgrade the fuel injectors(fuel pump is good to upgrade, but not necessary). Also upgrade the airbox to a performance air filter(you don't need some fancy cone thing with the pipe, it's stupid and does nothing). that should be about it.

Now is that all worth a honda civic sedan?

Wow, you have to pay a yearly tax based on displacement?... that sucks ass...

How much would a 5.7l Hemi run you?

Only on cars produced before March 2001. After March 2001, it's based on emissions.

Ah...that's still some bullsh*t...

Yep.

If the emissions are under 100g/km, it's free. Then it goes up and up. For my cars when i own them, I don't wanna go above 176g/km, which is around £170ish I think.
