Different color but there you go

Beast! I'm considering getting one as my next car.

That is a pretty nice FJ. Sweet, man.

By the way, I might be completely insane, but do you or have you ever owned a Montego blue Mazda RX-7, EyeMacHunt?

thats cause most 10 year olds are claiming that a game or other ripped from the net pic is their "real car" pic, lol!

I just turned 16 so I don't have a car yet. However, I'm aiming to get this:

Nissan_Skyline_R32_GT-R_001.jpg

But a GTS-t, not a GTR because they're way too expensive. I doubt I'll be able to get one in Canada easily, but I'll try. I've seen quite a few Skylines on Kijiji in the Toronto area, which has given me a lot of hope. I've even seen an R34 GT-T. Not the most practical car to get, but I don't care.

honestly bro, since you'll be 16, i'd say get a cheap beater(vw, volvo, honda) and that'll teach you how to drive properly and get you experience. i never got into a crash until i was 18 because i was arrogant and had a rage in me. get a car you want as a sunday driver/weekend car when you're older. i don't think you want to end up buying a skyline and crashing it or breaking the car so soon. you're first car should teach you how to respect, care, and learn about maintenance and car care.

a little drifting and redlining never hurts once in awhile though XD

(only on the sunday driver haha)

Just remember. if you "drive it like you stole it" a lot, your car will require a lot more maintenance and you better be ready to open that wallet more.

I can't drive yet (turning 14 this October, have to wait until 2017 :() but when I do drive, it'll have to be cheap to insure as the UK isn't the cheapest for insurance

I'd honestly like a VW Golf MK3, Honda Civic EG or EK, a 2003ish Ford Focus 1.4l or a 2000 Ford Fiesta. Old cars <3

Cavalier Turbo 4x4 (genuine one!) 290bhp. 4 cylinder turbo, 6 speed manual

pvs1.jpg

A classic Chavalier

You can expect a hefty ricer fee along with the insurance when you're buying those cars.

Maybe apart from the Foci.

Will definitely take this into account, thank you. How would an 03 Lancer do? I've seen a few sell for ~$2000.

stay away from mitzubishi and mazda(90s) commuters.

stick to 90's cars, more reliable from experience.

hope cars are cheap in canada.

here are some good, reliable, cheap cars.

any subaru from the 90's

volvo 850

vw jetta/golf (stay away from the passat and any vr6 past 150k miles)

honda integra/civic/accord

chevy cavelier

pontiac sunfire

oldsmobile intrigue/alero

buick lesabre

toyota corrola

ford focus

ford taurus

nissan altima

honda prelude 1992

most of them are ugly, yes.

try to find something with a stick shift/manual so that you can learn how to use a clutch.

my first car was a 1997 volkswagen jetta gt, stick shift, with over 210k miles before i wrecked it.

volkswagens look better imo

pretty much anything front wheel drive with a manual trans and an easily accessible hand operated emergency brake will suffice, haha!

It's funny because I was looking at some of those cars while I was waiting for a response. Found 2 95' Taurus SHOs - one with a missing window for $700 and another in better condition for $2000. I know how much of a beast that car is stock, as well, so I might actually go for it. Right now I'm looking at a 92' right-hand drive Prelude with 189k kilometres on it for $1400. Will definitely consider your other suggestions. Thanks, dude.

also, review the car in depth online before making a decision. look up common problems of that year and that model. if any are with the drivetrain, engine, or transmission. STAY AWAY.

if you find a car that was owned by an older person or 1 owner is a PLUS.

stay away from buying from other teenagers.

men drive aggressively. women can't drive, don't care for a vehicle, and don't know how anything works most of the time.

experience.

2 sisters, a brother, and myself :)

Also, if you wanted you could get a 240 or a miata for your first car, it'll teach you how RWD reacts and such.

not the most reliable for a commuter and they are pricey as f*ck when they're all stock and were taken care of.

Damn. I'm just learning more and more from you. I can't thank you enough.

And an NA or NB model Miata doesn't sound bad. I'm liking the idea of a 180/240SX but I wouldn't want to wreck them. I'd just prefer a cool but cheap Japanese car. Something a car enthusiast could appreciate and identify, but an ordinary person would be most likely indifferent towards.

It's nice that this is a worldwide community, several things seem "odd" considering your own country while put on perspective

drivers license at 16;
engine capacity for regular cars >2 liters, with assoicated cheap gas

countries where the new cars are cheap and the used ones are almost given

and finally price of cars vs cost of living

Kind of envy some countries policies regarding the car owner

Listen to this guy. I thought I was billy bad ass smashing my first car around, a Nissan Sentra. Ended up crashing that thing. A few more four cylinders later, I bought a Mustang GT, which I'm glad I waited until age 28 to get. I surely would have crashed it sooner than I did my Sentra, and definitely would have had a few more speeding tickets to boot.

What are the import rules for Canada, like I'm not even sure how there are some r34s in Canada when it's like illegal in the states

^^^No offense to the Maloo/Clubsport owners, but those cars are on the same level as jacked up F250s for me. They just scream LOOK AT ME. It's like they're trying way too hard. Just my 2c anyway.

I don't have many decent pics of my Aristo but I have a few I've snapped on separate occasions. The bbs are my old rims. Love my Aristo. 3.0L I6 2JZ. Sequential Twin Turbo's are great fun, when that second turbo kicks in you definitely feel it. Leather interior, full electrics, big luxo barge  never get hassled by the popo in this beast. Nobody ever expects it to be packing a 2JZ! (unless you're car savvy ofcourse)

YGoYJuO.jpg

v4L6jEg.jpg

Needs more low but it's hard anough to get up my drive way as it is and there's crazy speedbumps all around that I already scrape so I'm hesitant to go lower :\

I've also owned (In order of ownership)
1.3L 97 Toyota Starlet (First car, great fun)

3.9L V6 Ford Falcon Wagon ($500 car, great drifter in the rain)

2000 LS1 Holden Statesman

92 2.5L I6 TT Toyota Soarer (the 1JZ sounded amazing through my custom made stainless exhaust setup)

96 R32 GTST Nissan Skyline (Always hated skylines, got one because I needed a car asap and I got rid of it after a month)

Now - My Aristo pictured above.

My car:

F0013816-The_bones_of_the_leg-SPL.jpg

Wow! Matching cars! Small world :)

But when I can legally drive in 3 years and 5 months, I'll be in the cheapest Japanese car I can find. My dad and I have been looking, and for me and my siblings to share, he suggested a 2002ish Honda Civic 3dr Hatchback (UK Spec).

It looks like a nice car, but when I scrape together money for my own car, I really really really want an EG Civic.
