Or maybe it says disconnected instead of timed out, whatever the case this has been happening to me A LOT over the last 3-4 days.

 

Anyone noticed this?

 

My game has just about stopped crashing in the shower and garage, now this!

this has been happening since the beginning of time, noticed at times itll get real bad and then other times wont happen for a while

 

but never had mine crash before, just had the network error issues

I haven't had a freeze in the shower but my garage will literally NEVER let me walk into it. Only a handful of times has it not frozen when walking in.

 

This game is complete sh*t when it comes to handling players together. Can't join jobs or races, half the lobbies I join are empty and then when I do get a full game sh*t like this happens.

 

F*ck C*ckstar they need to get their sh*t together instead of taking my money...

i had this problem as well until last month before i found a fix, along with that 'unknown network error'. there is a solution but it's not simple..

 

in my case it was because my internet provider doesn't have the gates needed for GTAO opened.. my whole country had this problem

 

first, check google how to set a static IP adress on your console, then look up how to set up your console as the 'DMZ' (you will need a PC to check your default IP).. then access your router's settings by typing the IP in the internet browser bar on your PC and find something called 'port forwarding'. check google again for the gateways needed for gta online (you can find them on rockstar's website somewhere) and port forward them FOR THE PS3's IP ADRESS, NOT THE DEFAULT ONE

 

if your provider has some kind of personal online management, (telenet has this) , you will need to port forward these gates on there as well.. and maybe you will need to make some changes to your firewall as well so it allows traffic trough these gateways.

 

 

one hell of a hassle to play online, i know.. never had problems with any other game but GTAO made me go trough all this sh*t just to be able to join races/jobs and not get network-errored shortly after joining free-roam

Good some one is asking I'll ask.

 

I've been freezing on loading story mode, freezing on black loading screen before the siren intro, freezing in my house, freezing in garage, freezing 20-30 minute into freeroam,

 

I've noticed I can tell before it freezes to. The phone won't pop up or work when its about to freeze.

 

Is there something I could do to smooth it out?

 

It keeps getting worse after every patch.

yeh its happening to me a lot too. so fkn annoying. seems to happen most often within 1st 10ish mins of starting online and opening up a impromptu race. my internets fine so prob servers...

Glad I'm not the only one having this issue.

 

@Vince To be completely honest, your solution seems like too much work for playing Gta. I'd rather just take my disc out and play Payday2. (which was actually released as a complete game with heists!)

 

This game is so much trouble for me I'm seriously considering getting rid of it. So far the only reason I'm keeping it is for singleplayer which still feels like half a game with so many missing features.
