Content Creations you should check out.

I've seen a lot of posts from people saying that they don't play many content creations because so many of them are horrible. I do agree that a lot of them are bad, so I took the time to create some really unique and different deathmatches. I spent a lot of time on these and I really like the results. I tried to add some forced teamwork, but that was pretty hard to do in a deathmatch...I did succeed though.

 

I have one called Attack -N- Defend: WMD. This map is a team deathmatch that has one team attacking and one team defending(of course). I built a pit full of explosives like RPG's, grenades, launchers, and even an advanced rifle. The pit is inaccessible unless you have the right "tools" to get in the pit, which the attacking team does. The defending team has no way into the pit to start the match, but starts with better weapons.

 

The Attacking team has 4 different starting points, each of which gives the player a different way into the pit. One starting point is a helicopter which you can fly into the pit, or parachute into the pit. Another start point is on top of a mountain with a dirtbike...the dirtbike can be ramped into the pit(you just have to figure out how to ramp into the pit).

 

The 3rd spawn point is a semi truck that has no trailer....how does this get you into the pit you ask? When I contructed the pit, I used a semi trailer as one of the barriers/walls of the pit. The semi can be pulled up, attached to the trailer, and pull the trailer away to create an opening in the pit for your teammates or yourself to enter from.

 

The 4th spawn point is just a truck that can be pulled up next to the pit and used as a ladder to get you over the wall of the pit. The attacking team is the only team that can get the pit weapons AT FIRST....but beware of the attacking team killing you, then taking your bike, truck, semi and then grabbing the explosives in the pit for themselves.

When people take their time to advertise their maps in here it usually indicates they've actually put an adequate amount of time into it (compared to 99% of what you get to play when joining a quick job). I haven't even read OP and I don't know the lad, but i'm still going to add said map to my game. GTFO with your damn ignorance.

you could say the same for YouTube whores. They put the time into making a video that's already been made 20 times by others. Plus there is a thread already for posting content creations, so this "special" person doesn't need their own thread.

The reason I posted this is because I just read a whole topic of people saying there aren't enough "good" creations out there to play....I was only trying to give a good map to people that actually want to play a good creation that isn't some 12 year old that spent 10 minutes on it.

I'm sure your creation is "good", but those who look for maps just go to the stickied threads in the gameplay section. We here, as you have been around long enough to notice, don't take kindly to those who advertise their content, whether it be custom maps or YouTube videos, using their own thread and acting like they're special. Its an instinctive response by many of us, and I'm sure that someone else more than likely would have said something similar to what I did eventually.

No you weren't, and no you still aren't. You are simply plugging your own map and you are still doing it in the wrong section.

+1 agreed on all counts... Posted mine in the proper place. If yer an experienced forum hound, (not just here, games in general) you'd already know that peeps generally don't take kindly to promotion, intended or not. You see, if your thread slides through, in a week we'll have nothing but promotional threads.... including those 'kids' making horrid maps. It ain't personal OP.
